clear win Richards and what is the issue with him fighting Dubinsky? they are both the same size and Dubinsky has 5 bouts this year so he is no stranger to a fight.... this seems like a natural match up to me?

some of the people who post on this site need to take a nap. as soon as a guy from their team takes a loss they have to punk out the other guy ??? wake up girls this is a hockey fight site....i am not a flyer or Rags fan but there is nothing wrong with a good dust up between two guys like this and so what if your boy takes a loss its about showing up and not backing down which Dubinsky did?

Hey Chief, your a loser!! Richards is the punk. Can't wait for Orr to demolish his ass next game. If he wants to play tough then step up. Dubinsky...gee way to to go Richards. Orr got something for him!! Wait till next game. I mean who else, Cote, Orr continously kicks his ass!! Hatcher, well, he's too much of a ***** to fight. I'll be at the garden next game. Sec 339 seat 2....bring your woosy ass tough guy.

Richards with the clear win. He handed it to the kid. Dubinsky should concentrate on hockey and let Orr clean up the mess.

Richards goes after Dubinsky after chickening out against Avery. I guess you can't blame him after being beat twice by Avery before.

Wow, all the F-word fans are mad at me! Watching the NY feed, I did not get to hear richards mic'd up. Of course he is going to say "ya wanna go" if the linesmen are there holding them apart. Avery beat richards earlier this year and also last year. richards is a good hockey player but he acts tougher than he is. He kept trying to push Valiquette after he had the puck numerous times and when someone like Avery had him put up or shut up, well let's just say Richards was fortunate that the refs stepped in as quickly as they did.

Again Dubi is not a fighter but a skilled 21 year old. he has balls defending a teammate even though he can't fight. the highlight was Orr and Renney laughing after the fight. Orr and Struds have been giving the kid tips on fighting because he wants to learn. problem is when you fight another tough kid in Richards your gonna take a few shots. richards time will come but even though i hate the flyers i have to say i would take ten guys like him on my team anyday. But as michael Strahan said about the Pats "the Rangers stomped you out"

To all you morons getting on Richards about his shield maybe you should watch the fight. Richards was pushed up against the boards by Dubinsky (that dangerous 4 goal scorer). In the first 3 seconds of the fight, Richards lost his helmet before he even threw a punch. When he did punch, Dubinsky was as lost as Colton Orr looking for a goal.

Richards will only drop the gloves if he knows they are crap fighters? You're joking, right? Because in Richards' rookie season, he challenged Asham for his first NHL Fight. He also fought Asham last season. He's fought Avery twice, and had a good bout against a much bigger Paul Mara last year. get your head out of your ass and do some research before you blindly knock on a guy.

richards did not back down from avery at all. the flyers feed had richards mic'd up. he was tellin the refs to let them go so they could scrap. and it was richards who was getinng under averys skin. haha avery is a ***. dubinsky was the one who wanted after richards after he leveled that dude up the middle. again richards being mic'd up told dubinsky "did u expect me not hit hit him after u gave him the pass up the middle". richards just handed dubinsky has ass on a platter.

Richards is not only tough as ****, he's a DAMN GOOD HOCKEY PLAYER...Avery is the most hated player in the NHL, and he's mediocre at best. The Rangers have played 4 more games than the Flyers and have 6 more losses. NY is in the basement (Islanders and Rangers) and I guarantee they stay there.

Much tougher Richards with the easy win over a pure skills guy in Dubinsky, who probably cared more about firing up his team than pulling off an improbable win here...seems as if this kid enjoys this lately, more power to him right? The only way to get better is to get more and more under your belt...

Good thing Dubinsky got a rematch later and wins because this was a ZZZzzzZZZ fest.

haha ETR did you watch the game. Richards and Avery dropped the gloves. The linesmen wouldn't let it go. Richards would have kicked his ass anyway.

Ok, I do not doubt that Richards won that fight. Dubi clearly got beat. What i contest is people saying that Richards visor wasn't a big deal. If he's going to be throwing hits like that on higher profile players he shouldn't be wearing that visor. Dubi took that visor off of him fast, it's not like Richards threw it off. Not to mention Dubi threw off one glove and Richards skated away so Dubi had to go pick it up, then Richards went after him. I'm wondering what that was about. Either way. Richards still got that win.
