Although I couldn't be more anti-instigator...
if that attempted cheap shot isn't a justifiable instigation...
I don't know what is.

Bammer24 makes a great ducking point,
as does Jflah53 concerning the linguistic difficulties
involved in an ''attempted foot departure''.

These two had a near-miss earlier in the game that resulted in a 10-minute misconduct for Clarkson and nothing for Dubinsky (or was it Rupp?). The Devils bench erupted in anger--I thought Larry Robinson was going to climb over the boards to deck one of the refs.

When Clarkson got another chance he launched himself up against Dubinsky--a definite league no-no--and then got in a couple of blistering rights. W-Clarkson.

Wow, nice vertical leap by Clarkson, he must have thought he was at the NFL combine. That said he wins the fight

Clakson left his feet, no question, but he didn't really hit him that hard...not that that makes it OK. I respect Dubinsky. But he lost.

GreatMurray, why would Chara/Lucic fight John Scott? Chara and Lucic mean more to their team on the ice. NOBODY questions how tough/good John Scott is...at fighting. But he is useless as a hockey player. I would suspect that Tortorella would want to win the game, knowing that it's a conference opponent and their relative positions in the standings.

last time DUBINSKY a little better .took quite a few this time.CLARKSON clear winner. hard to figure why the RANGERS .wanted SCOTT .they lead the league in figts .have plentyof guys with limited hockey skills ,but fight well. CLARKSON lost his mind there for a bit .really have to wonder how anyone could seriously have DUBINSKY winning this. its fine to love your team, but have some cred.rarely do i waste time like this ddm or whatever youre an idiot

Its sad that this is Dubinsky's best effort in a fight that I've seen him in. Usually a hug-fest when he is involved but he actually attempted to throw a few in this one.

edge to Dubi and the fight was stopped too soon

dubinsky loses his lid and his desire at the same time,as well as the scrap

No respect for Clarkson, he takes a pass on Rupp and then goes after Dubinsky. Expect to hear from Shannahan

Thank you Clarkson for taking all those stupid penalties and not allowing your team a chance to come back:) Clarkson runs from Rupp then goes after Dubi and leaps like 3 feet into the air. He probably gets a 1 game rest from Shannahan. Next game he has to answer to Rupp, Prust or perhaps now Scott!!

Even though Dubi starts to come back towards the end of the scrap with those wild punches, it's not enough to beat Clarkson.

Ironbar, Rangers have plenty of players with limited hockey skills? Have you checked the standings lately? I know being an Islander fan makes you an expert on players with limited hockey skills but you're way off on your post.
