Kyle Chipchura vs Paul Gaustad

Assuming he may have just won his first fight ever...

Chipchura goes for the huggy close...

which allows Gaustad to uppercut his way back

to a defensively-sloppy draw.

Chips opened by getting in the lefts but then Goose rallied to even it up.

Hard fight to call. They were in a couple of awkward situations. Chipchura is throwing and Gaustad has his head down and facing away from the camera. Who knows if anything landed. It was pretty even for the most part. I have to give Gaustad the edge because of the uppercuts and pretty good right cross combo toward the end. Then he gets Chipchura in a Muay Thai clinch but holds off on the knee.

Both players landed some really solid shots. this was an above average Draw

more of a dance than a fight, but gaustad landed the only good punches towards the end.

My first post in about 3 years....Had to finally jump in because Sabre Hatred is a totally idiotic moron. The fans weren't booing him, they were goosing him (his nick name) - Gooooooooose!! - Stay out of our building. We don't want you polluting it with your ridiculous, blasphemous, venomous negativity. Glad your night was ruined with a great Sabre victory.

Chipchura with the better start where he held Gaustad in a position where he couldn't do much. Gaustad recovered though and was better towards the end. Draw. Both got two or three good shots in, the rest missed or just hit the back of the head.

Goose gets the win with at the end after what started as a pretty boring fight.

Impressive win for Chipchura, though Gaustad came back at the end. Chipchura dominated the beginning and middle.

I would have though Chip would be overmatched against the bigger and better fighter Gaustad.

good fight. its good to see the itty bitty Sabres finaly fighting back.

Kudos for Chip for trying to stir things up. He was more active at the start but didn't really land anything. Gausted landed two solid rights at the end for the victory.

was gaustad hurt?its not an usuall to see chipchura to get a win.not even against equally weak opponent and all of sudden he beats gaustad....7

gave this fight a draw. good back and fourth fight between these 2 guys.
