Not seeing how Clarkson can be given a win here. They fight for positioning early on, then Gaustad exerts some (not overwhelming but some) physical dominance in the middle of the bout, and then Clarkson gets tired and goes into huggie-mode managing one or two easy ones only because Gaustad wants to knock his block off with a punch from another time zone and misses. I call it a draw and an entertaining 4. It would have been Gaustad and a 2 had he hugged out when Clarkson grew weary.

Both had good intentions but did not amount to much. Nice ice dancing. Clarkson has been a huge fail in Toronto. Draw.

Why do fighters throw equipment away when heading to the sin bin? It doesn't make you look any tougher. Anyway, Clarkson.....barely.

Despite elbowing Clarkson the much bigger Gaustad could not get anything going. Off balance and out of position for much of the bout not much landed but Clarkson scored the better shots.

Prettyboy Floyd should have lost the visor but he got some good ones in.

another solid draw...gausted took it easy on clarkson but almost paid for it at the end

I voted draw although I could see an edge either side... Even as a Leafs hater it's nice to see Clarkson drop the gloves following his injury.. The leafs doubled their fighting majors last night alone... Maybe the "Physical" leafs may be returning?? Misguided hopefulness but.. you never know Fight was a 5!

Except for a wild two handed windmill flurry by Gaustead who faw down at the end, this was a .pretty good matchup. Clarkson did land a stunner but, in all fairness, Gaustad walked him around like a dog in the park and actually could have waited for Clarkson to do his business. Draw people. A draw.

Ridiculous that Clarkson is voted winner here...come on Leaf homers, let's try to keep it rational and unbiased on this site.

Posted by bigdude on November 19, 2014 at 03:34 PM

Gays tad by a bit, he landed the heavier shots ( not that many really landed). You gotta love the Leaf fans cheering their guy on, then look at the score at the time.

Draw. Gaustad more active and controlling the fight. Clarkson knocks Gaustad off balance and swings wildly and misses. End of fight. Props to Gaustad taking out the trash.

It was a draw till the end....Gaustad tried to let lose and punched himself off balance and Clarkson took advantage and got the throw down and the slight win.

Clarkson won.

Despite the size disadvantage and being turned around for at least half of the fight Clarkson manages to close well and in the process shows slight signs of his former Devil self That being said I think that we can all agree that this fight was generally a piece of crap that never got going despite the apparently genuine anger

Gaustad sucks as a player and as a fighter....

Posted by Flames9339 on November 19, 2014 at 01:01 AM

Gaustad such a lame fighter, both fights he hugs for 2 minutes.

Posted by hardcase on November 19, 2014 at 08:21 PM

Gaustad cant fight never could

Posted by Great Murray on November 20, 2014 at 07:55 PM

2 tough guys laying it out. Not a great fight...but one hell of an effort. Clarkson manages to do a little more and get a close win. It had to be tough for Gaustad after the wrestling match with "Pfffft he was gone in the play-offs".

Posted by shawnrocks on November 18, 2014 at 10:52 PM

good fight...........i dont like clarkson but that was a good first fight after a broken face.

Posted by pepsigenerate on November 19, 2014 at 09:40 PM

Clarkson with some good ones taking down Gaustad.winner Clarkson.

Posted by kkdowning on November 19, 2014 at 02:08 PM

As an aisde, Clarkson looked rather small compared to Gaustad. Back to the fight, slight edge to Clarkson in an average to less than average scrap.

Posted by Jflah53 on November 19, 2014 at 11:08 AM

CLARKSON, AGAIN, gets into it with a guy who CANNOT FIGHT & barley gets away with it… Even while grabbing on to the goal net for balance.. AGAIN, Clarkson proves he is a 5.5 million dollar LOSER !!! Toronto fans, you have been had. Hopefully you get rid of this PHONY, as we are trying to do here the last six years with a PHONY down in Washington ..

Posted by Attikdrum on December 02, 2014 at 02:25 PM

they used to be good fighters....lol

Posted by canamrugby on November 18, 2014 at 11:13 PM

Yawwwwn. Absolute rubbish, nothing to see here. Typical Toronto.

Posted by Jellyczar on November 20, 2014 at 01:18 PM

nothing but a draw....

Posted by bigdog2007 on November 22, 2014 at 03:38 PM

These clowns would win silver in ice dancing

Posted by anthrojim on November 19, 2014 at 01:25 PM

Clarkson had to fight for the honor of Princes Pahneuf, who was tagged earlier in the game.

Posted by boldbilly on November 19, 2014 at 07:21 AM

I will give the ever so slight edge to Clarkson.... Not much lands by either, but Clarkson was the busier of the two. In fairness he was giving up a lot on size, but as stated on the other fight Gaustad although big and willing is not much of a fighter I scored this a generous 5

Posted by demonhead6 on November 22, 2014 at 11:03 AM

Clarkson show's his feminine side by taking off and throwing his helmet after the fight.

Posted by grrbronco81 on November 20, 2014 at 05:58 PM

Nice MMA Elbow at the end by Gaustad.

Posted by Humper on November 18, 2014 at 10:47 PM

Clarkson landed the only meaningful shots. Gaustad demonstrated how to clutch, grab and hug.

Posted by The Mad House on November 18, 2014 at 11:12 PM

Pretty good scrap here Even though Gaustad was unimpressive.. Again Clarkson wears a visor now? Losing a lot of respect for these Leafs

Posted by bigmike53 on November 19, 2014 at 12:21 AM

Clarkson and Gaustad decide to settle their dispute in a fistic failure of a fight. I know Clarkson has an injury but it's tough to see him with the Euro look. I give the nod to Clarkson in this scrap.
