Leave it to Krys Barch to take the momentum out of his team which just one second before was on a high from the opening bell Ott-Campbell fight. Barch got in one good shot but Thorny just pummeled his choppers with rights. Classy of Thorny to call in the linesmen when he knew Barch was in trouble.

mhuetter--I for one listen to Bruins radio games--much better than listening to the homerific Jack Edwards on the NESN side--and the announcers and between periods interview guests call him "Thorny."

Barch goes in with false expectations and wrong timing....
Especially when Thornton brings his A game to the table.
Vicious ++ uppercuts that hurt him .
Props to Barch for staying on his feet...was just about knocked out.
Classy move by Thornton ( as usual ).

thornton is an ox who can play good hockey. poor barch, he's just not a heavy but no one else on the team is either so he seems to get stuck with it. he gets absolutely pummeled by the ox. 8.

Thornton early and often. Barch was clearly hurt early and hung in as best he could...but just couldn't take more to the face. Loss for Barch, but big kudos for toughing it out.

The only thing Barch can feel good about with this fight is one of the few that he landed left a nice mouse under Thornton's left eye. Thornton landed a number of heavy shots, especially with the uppercuts that resulted in a standing 8 count.

Barch did good to still be standing after this one even though he did get a few of the better shots in early in this scrap. Good on Thornton for not pumelling a beaten man though. Win Thornton as he just outlasted and landed more.
