I like Dubinsky. Showing scrap and not taking crap- Ruutu is tough, and he clearly won- but still...points for Dubisnky for heart.

No blows thrown. Ruutu had one nice punch at the end. Draw

Posted by IrishJimbo on November 19, 2007 at 09:57 AM

Last punch swings in Ruttu's favor. Clearly more experienced than the rookie. Gotta love Dubinsky's heart for standing up for himself though. Maybe Ruttu will will actually fight someone good one day instead of selectively dropping the gloves.

Dubinsky shoudn't even bother dropping the gloves. Horrible fight. Winner Ruutu

Posted by aces50 on November 19, 2007 at 09:50 AM

Ruutu by a slim margin. Got more quality shots in.

Posted by clmetsfan on November 18, 2007 at 08:52 PM

Pretty crappy fight, but good for Dubinsky standing up for himself after the boarding. He's not even close to Ruutu's class so he was kind of holding on for dear life there. Would have been a draw but Ruutu got a couple good shots in there at the end. Clear edge to him.

Ruutu is the biggest cheap-shot pu$$y in the league. Always runs and hides when the big boys call him to the carpet. Reminds me of Bobby "The Weasel" Heenan from AWA Wrestling!

Posted by stone169 on November 19, 2007 at 06:50 AM

Dubinsky needs to learn not to keep himself so open or else he needs to stop fighting.

Posted by DetroitIan on November 19, 2007 at 08:03 PM

Whats with the camera work here? They decided to randomly show Jason Strudwick watching, instead of showing the end of the fight? Dumbasses. As for the fight, Ruutu gets the win here. Dubinsky looked like he was holding on for dear life at one point. And Ruutu landed atleast 2 decent shots. Would have been a much better fight without all the clutching and holding.

dubinsky really stood up for himself, ill give him that. i hate watching players skate away looking scared. he got my respect.

Posted by rwargo24 on November 22, 2007 at 11:25 AM

Kind of boring. Dubinsky had Jarkko tied up pretty well for most of it, but Ruutu gets the edge by landing a few quality shots.

Three observations: 1) Brandon needs a couple more lessons from Orr and Strudwick. Decision Ruutu 2) BattleAxe13 is a real moron. 3) The cheap hits from behind are classic Ruutu. He's in the same class as Matt Cooke, Sean Avery, Lappy, And Darcy Tucker - a cheap dirty b*tch.

Ruuru gets the nod with those couple of shots near the end

not a bad fight and I was at the game. The crowd went nuts!

Ok all you Pens homeys, I am born and bread a 'Burger but after watching this scrap you fans are looking for a BGL TKO. Ru won but not too lopsided. Call it like it is yinz guys!

Dubinsky should not be allowed to fight in the NHL ever again!! All he did was hug Ruutu, and he cant take a little hit.

Posted by BattleAxe13 on November 18, 2007 at 07:26 PM

Ruutu landed the majority of the shots and most of his really rocked Duby's head so you gotta give Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuutuuuuuuuuuuuuuu the win. Dubinsky was an idiot for turning his back to the hit, Eric Cole does the same thing and he got hurt bad.

Posted by Juha82 on November 19, 2007 at 10:36 AM

Ruutu was bit better. Ok show.

Rock on Ru...kicking some good old New York A$$!

Dubi showed some heart but just does not have the experience yet to win these kinds of bouts. Funny how he is getting lessons from Strud instead of Orr

Posted by penguinsfan123 on November 23, 2007 at 02:18 PM

i love how when strudwick trying to look tough laraque skates by

Posted by BStreetBullies on November 18, 2007 at 07:56 PM

I like the heart from Dubinsky, but the kid doesn't seem to be able to fight. Ruutu socked him late, win Ruutu here, nice spirited bout.

Posted by AE33 on November 19, 2007 at 09:41 AM

I thought dubinsky actually had an edge in this fight until the very end. Looked like he was tired and looking for the ref to come in and then got popped a couple of times, but got to give the win to ruutu for the punches that landed in the end.

Ruutu wins...a fight that would've been more worth the price of admission is coach "commie" Therrian against perhaps the best energy spark we have in colby armstrong for CONTINUALLY BENCHING HIM for no reason other than therrian is just a jag off on a pwr trip...prolly why he's not in montreal anymore and won't be in the burgh much longer....

Pretty good scrap for Ruutu, Dubinski can learn something from him

Posted by Dmi3 on November 22, 2007 at 08:01 PM

Rubinsky acting like a girl, can see the fear in he's eyes, he was lucky it was stopped. Some good shots to the face by Ruutu

Posted by pensfan668720 on January 12, 2008 at 09:42 AM

Posted by Nordberg on November 21, 2007 at 11:38 AM

Boring scrap--but Ruutu wins on points.

Posted by pberg on January 06, 2008 at 09:19 PM

Dubinsky was shying away and didn't want to throw any. Whatta lamb.

Posted by sebek2512 on November 19, 2007 at 03:38 PM

it was an ok fight but thats me and my buddies in the background goin buddy paul gets right in dubinsky's face then ruutu hits him with a left........good times GO PENS!!!!!!

Posted by poopies on November 18, 2007 at 10:59 PM

Dubinsky should have gotten 2 minutes for holding, because that's all he did during that fight. It was probably wise on his part though, because the few times Ruutu did get an arm free, he nailed Dubinsky in the noggin.

Posted by Sublimezx on November 19, 2007 at 12:23 PM

Ruutu disgusts me. What a dirty pointless player. Strudwick should have jumped in and kicked his @ss!!!! and BattleAxe you are a complete idiot. Its Ruutu's fault for BOARDING! So now players are stupid for making moves to get away with the puck? lol! You dont know hockey very well my friend! Take another look, Ruutu saw him going towards the boards and he took the chance to take him out, not check him, take him out. He was trying to board him
