And we're back. Boulton clocked Gleason with a good one. That's a few pretty good scraps for Boulton this year. Gleason didn't look good in his first.

Posted by staceyb on February 28, 2014 at 04:45 AM

Neither Orr nor McLaren dressed for the game last night so Gleason took on the role of team heavyweight. He didn't do it very well.

Bolts sends Gleason to the moon, Alice

Posted by filthynumber1 on February 27, 2014 at 10:45 PM

Timmy!! U do NOT fight seasoned vet Boultan with your wrong hand!! Jesus

Posted by mikebflorida on February 28, 2014 at 09:23 AM

Boulton with the TKO. Gleason got dropped. Textbook TKO.

Posted by CairnsNYI33 on February 28, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Boulton is a middle weight BEAST. Possibly top mid weight Champion in NHL. Too bad he's not 6'5" or taller...he'd give John Scott a good fight.

' Good night and sweet dreams. '

Outcome was predetermined hear with another win for an Nhl top 10 heavy in Boulton!

Posted by Lucic_Power on February 27, 2014 at 09:51 PM

Glad Gleason is being shown for what he really is. Had some luck against a few heavies but hes at best a decent middle weight.

Posted by KnockoutDan on February 28, 2014 at 04:30 PM

Like the Pat Travers song goes…. Boom Boom Out Go The Lights ! Win Boulton!

Posted by traveller on February 28, 2014 at 10:07 AM

Gleason doesn't need to be fighting with his background of concussions. If he continues he will be taking up knitting,

Posted by Crazy Rabbi on February 28, 2014 at 04:40 PM

Good shot by Boulton. Gleason has gone downhill a little and needs to get back to basics.

Posted by Norm Peterson on February 28, 2014 at 10:40 AM

For a team with so many cementheads, the Leafs aren't very tough.

Posted by fcatalan on February 28, 2014 at 12:36 AM

Boulton knew how to control this guy, and he knocked him out.

Posted by gpilon on February 28, 2014 at 08:03 AM

Some people actually gave the win to Gleason?

Posted by Behn Wilson on March 04, 2014 at 11:58 PM

What usually happens when quick mean and experienced meets slow goofy and winless

Boulton easy W, and a 6.

Posted by ETR on February 27, 2014 at 10:51 PM

Nice uppercut.

Posted by srehm1 on February 27, 2014 at 10:26 PM

Boulton with a good right uppercut that drops Gleason.

Good night, Jackie....

Posted by jnk07899 on February 27, 2014 at 08:38 PM

Had a feeling that was going to happen... Hopefully Gleason is okay.

Posted by endor on February 28, 2014 at 11:29 AM

BANG!!! ZOOM!!! Right on the kisser! Down goes Gleason!

Posted by EK65 on February 28, 2014 at 12:29 AM

Welcome Back Everyone! Boulton with a nice shot landing.. Timmy G has to pick his battles better than this... credit for the heart but, that could have ended A LOT worse.

Posted by lights out on March 01, 2014 at 10:46 PM

Gleason got popped pretty good. Old man Michael Bolton croons a winning cover of Hit me with your best shot

Posted by hkhk on February 27, 2014 at 10:17 PM

every team should have an eric boulton it the guy is an old school warrior

Posted by PeteyBatz on February 28, 2014 at 11:44 PM

Nice combo switchup by Boulton from the jab to the uppercut. TKO

Posted by sedinfan on February 28, 2014 at 12:00 AM

Boulton is one tough SOB. Not quite McGratten, but close and just as entertaining. I love watching this guy throw them.

Posted by 4x4 driver on February 28, 2014 at 08:48 AM

Was that Tim Gleason or Jackie Gleason?

Posted by Hands of Stone on February 28, 2014 at 12:09 PM

Boulton will go to his grave throwing punches....

Posted by Great Murray on February 28, 2014 at 09:31 AM

2 Point knock down for Boulton. Gleason wasn't hurt but he did get knocked on his ass. Gleason did cause Boulton to leak a little. Good job by 2 tough guys!

Posted by King of Goons on February 27, 2014 at 11:00 PM

I guess Boulton got tired of beating up Orr, so it was Gleason's turn. This guy is a tough S.O.B. I hope the Islanders keep him next year just to keep other teams honest.

Posted by nhlofficialsblo on February 27, 2014 at 11:17 PM

All EB. Who are these clown linesmen trying to prevent a scrap. Sit down you striped punks and let us watch what we came to watch. Two striped clowns jumped right in and prevented Miller and Foligno from going in the Boston Buffalo game last night. Once again ladies...YOU AREN'T THE SHOW THE PLAYERS ARE. I'd like to see Boulton and McGrattan go this year.

Posted by bigmike53 on February 28, 2014 at 12:42 AM

Boulton makes Gleason look bad in this one. Boulton lands a great uppercut and drops Gleason decisively. Gleason gets up and still looks shaky. These Islanders are a tough bunch! Win for Bolts.

Posted by cob1963 on February 28, 2014 at 09:44 AM

I love how Boulton is like, just another day at the office....

Posted by gsrae on February 27, 2014 at 09:23 PM

Bolton with the KO

Posted by miamiexisle on February 27, 2014 at 10:14 PM

Posted by Spinner55 on February 28, 2014 at 10:43 AM

Boulton

Posted by ironbar44 on February 28, 2014 at 03:32 PM

if there is a guy who is the epitome of a pro n.h.l. fighter (not the best) but a pro. follows the codes and fights for all the right reasons its BOULTON .

Posted by FDNY20192 on February 28, 2014 at 07:46 PM

Boulton is so underrated.

Posted by doobi1 on February 28, 2014 at 03:20 AM

Boulton the winner with a knee-buckler on Gleason's sweet spot. Boulton was in control of the entire bout. I'll bet Gleason would like to have that one back. At first, it looked like he didn't wanna.

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on February 28, 2014 at 06:02 PM

tko

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 28, 2014 at 10:32 PM

Gleason drew some blood, but Boulton dropped a bomb to win it.

Posted by bberg on February 28, 2014 at 10:53 AM

boulton one of the most underrated heavies in the nhl , is always game and very rarely disappoints! TKO boulton!

Posted by nbecc1 on February 27, 2014 at 09:18 PM

U got knocked the fk down Gleason

Posted by 29th_Candidate on March 01, 2014 at 04:50 AM

Damn. Gleason ate all of that one. TKO win - Boulton

Posted by kkdowning on March 01, 2014 at 04:15 PM

Good on Gleason for stepping up and taking on a career fighter, unfortunately he got dropped.

Posted by TERMINATOR on February 28, 2014 at 09:43 PM

Bolton has come a long ways ...always throws bombs and has entertaining fights. Put the beats on a leaf like everyone else does.

Posted by Manunder on February 28, 2014 at 04:51 PM

Boulton has been landing some bombs this year...ask Parros...nevermind he wouldnt remember

Posted by DuaneSutter on February 28, 2014 at 11:45 AM

Does dropping Gleason on his ass count as a TKO? I think so. I was at this game & saw this coming. Leafs were egging him on a little from the start, but Bolts finished that. Most definitely provided a spark to the Islanders and the old barn crowd & they worked hard for their 5-4 OT win. Despite the cut, how ANYONE can say Gleason won this fight is a lying sack, even for a Leaf homer. Knnite & Doggy12: Gleason slipped? And fell on his ass? Yeah, that tends to happen when you catch an uppercut and get your ass kicked.

Posted by Youngbraz on February 28, 2014 at 07:14 AM

Looked like the first time Gleason ever fought. He needs to learn a little technique.

Posted by Pierre LaRoc on February 28, 2014 at 02:51 PM

Gleason cuts Boulton open and then slips Easy win for Gleason

Posted by tnarg62 on March 03, 2014 at 01:41 AM

boulton lucky gleason tripped, otherwise gleason was taking him to the woodshed.

Posted by Viper207 on February 27, 2014 at 08:44 PM

Gleason should in no way have to step up to a HW like Boulton. TKO win Boulton with a pin-point shot on the button.

Posted by Amerkfan8 on February 28, 2014 at 11:29 PM

Boulton is one of the toughest guys in the league. Hope Gleason is ok, hard shot for a guy with concussion issues.

Posted by brownie21 on February 28, 2014 at 01:58 PM

Kudos for Gleason for fighting out of his class and kudos to Bolts for the code.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on February 28, 2014 at 01:48 AM

Boulton gives Gleason some chin music. Despite his age Boulton still has a lot to offer in the NHL, hope he sticks around a little longer.

Posted by Biggus on February 28, 2014 at 08:38 AM

Gleason is tough but bites off more than he can chew in thisn one.

Posted by PantherPete on March 02, 2014 at 07:36 PM

Props to Gleason for showing uo but he needs to stop acting like a legit pugilist and stick to being the solid D-Man that he is. Colton Orr gets paid to do this, not him. Just saying.

Posted by chad420 on February 28, 2014 at 10:53 AM

Eric B&Rakeem laying some serious beats down on Jackie Gleason..."To the moon Alice"

Posted by pepsigenerate on February 27, 2014 at 11:26 PM

Posted by cheesecup on February 27, 2014 at 08:57 PM

Posted by bigdog2007 on March 03, 2014 at 01:09 PM

Boom. Laffs cant win a fight this year. McLaren placed on waivers. Useless tit.

Posted by T-Wild76 on February 27, 2014 at 09:07 PM

That's what you get with no Orr or McLaren

Posted by knnite on February 27, 2014 at 11:58 PM

Gleason slipped but he tore up Boulton's face real good.

Posted by Doggy12 on February 27, 2014 at 08:40 PM

Gleason looked to slip
