Neil threw more punches, but the landed punches were about equal. A-hole move by Neil at the end made me want to vote for Boulton, but I'll look past that and call it a draw.

Posted by Clark75 on January 04, 2012 at 11:40 AM

Draw. Thought we weren't giving wins to the guy who's not bleeding from the nose. Thought it went back and forth and deserved a draw. Boulton wins that fight decively 9 out of 10 times. Would've loved to see Neil and Janssen go at it.

That was a ring a ding dong dandy as the late Ed Whalen would say. Best line all season by The DZA, "Erection through a hole in the bottom of a popcorn box". I just about pissed myself reading that one.

Posted by Bosoxshute on January 02, 2012 at 10:28 PM

Great fight. 9 draw

Posted by ferdip on January 04, 2012 at 09:53 PM

Great job these guys are built like fire plugs and they really got it in.

Posted by staceyb on January 03, 2012 at 04:58 AM

This may have been retribution on Boulton's part for the end of period heavy hit delivered on Bryce Salvador by Neil that went unanswered. But Neil took him rather easily, making me wonder if Boults is still affected by his hand injury or maybe he has just lost it altogether.

Posted by Mcgyvr on January 02, 2012 at 09:33 PM

Not bad, edge Neil.

Posted by slavv on January 04, 2012 at 07:25 PM

Boulton hung around just to get knocked around....

Posted by Shed The Gloves on January 04, 2012 at 10:21 AM

decent scrap. Win for Neil as he controlled for most of the fight

Posted by The DZA on January 03, 2012 at 07:21 AM

Neil beating Boulton. Erection through a hole in the bottom of a popcorn box. Both great ways to start a new year.

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 03, 2012 at 12:20 AM

Surprisingly, Neil lays down an old fashioned beating on a perpetually, tied up, and off balance... Boulton. How about that Neuber-Murray fight? What'd I tell you.

Posted by Jflah53 on January 03, 2012 at 01:58 PM

WHOA !!!!! real good showing by Neil. Didn't think he had it in him.. Boulton disappoints here, thought he was better than this. MAYBE AN OFF NIGHT !!! Will have to see next fight he is in & who he fights. May need a REDEMPTION FIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neil the winner here. Thought tough guy Clarkson might want to join the fun later on in the game & test Neil...................... BUT............... wishful thinking...............................

Posted by Joceron on January 02, 2012 at 10:57 PM

What ahole move? Neil started stronger and landed more. Nothing better than a nice uppercut in a hockey bout. Boulton is a tough customer and finished very strong knocking off Neils cap there. Neil and a 7

Posted by bruins rule on January 02, 2012 at 11:31 PM

neil gets the win in this fight.

Posted by fernben8 on January 03, 2012 at 02:17 PM

Happy new year everyone ! I expected more from Boulton, Neil was in better control in this one, he got a few good ones in ( especially some uppercuts ). Boulton has got to do do better with middle weights like Neil...his career depends on it and has little margin for error now.

Posted by TommyGun29 on January 03, 2012 at 11:35 AM

great fight between 2 veterans. Neil with the one handed Mui Thai clinch was able to control this one for most of the fight. Boulton came back with some good ones but going with Neil.

Posted by KnockoutDan on January 03, 2012 at 12:17 AM

Give Neil the win on this one! connected on a few good uppercuts. Only a Leafs fan would give the win to Boulton......

Posted by mudman55 on January 03, 2012 at 01:04 PM

Fantastic scrap. If you're Eric Boulton, rather than continually trying to wrap up Neil's right arm (it wasn't working), wouldn't you throw lefty and make Neil try to tie up your arm?

Posted by Jaxman2002 on January 05, 2012 at 11:35 AM

Boulton is completely out classed in this one and he is very out of his league with Neil. He is lucky he did not get hurt ...all Neil here.

Posted by lbachand on January 04, 2012 at 11:55 AM

Pretty good, both are tough, experienced fights.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 10, 2013 at 12:52 AM

Neil hammered Boulton. Both guys were tossing some ferocious punches, but Neils were right on target.

Posted by armani on January 03, 2012 at 12:21 AM

Solid scrap, Neil and a 7.

Posted by Merlin33 on January 03, 2012 at 03:13 PM

one of the better give and take fights all season! Gotta call it for Neil with more blows delivered and landed plus control throughout. Good fight for Boulton showed toughness but just couldn't deliver the win.

Posted by DARCY T on January 03, 2012 at 05:41 AM

kinda convincing win neil and 8

Posted by dpappas1 on January 03, 2012 at 02:47 PM

Neil the winner in a good bout. 2 guys who know what their jobs entail and have been doing it for a long time.

Posted by scorp1on on January 04, 2012 at 10:19 PM

Boulton just could not get his bearings in this bout. Neil with the early bombs and a few telling uppercuts. Boulton with a couple bombs about 70% of the way through before Neil takes over again. Haven't seen the little guy tear up like this in a while.

Posted by BlackandTeal on February 01, 2012 at 03:49 AM

neil took some hits but his returns were way better and he avoided alot of boultons swings

Posted by rocky 1 on January 08, 2012 at 05:45 PM

Boulton gets the Schnitzel punched out of him by Neil who is one tough son of a bitch!

Posted by boldbilly on January 03, 2012 at 05:35 PM

Neil with the win here..............say what you will but I would take him on my team anytime.....Plays hard and has lot's of guts. Don't understand all the hatred here must be a lot of leaf and bruin fans here voting.

Posted by kimo_coyote on January 03, 2012 at 07:51 PM

Neil Win.

Posted by Willy WILL on January 03, 2012 at 07:45 AM

So Neil is a cheap puke who only fights small guys right?! You are all jealous of the Sens and the fact that he loves playing for them and the city. Toronto go F&@k you self on church street while you watch the playoffs on the big screen. Especially you Behn Wilson... losers... Win Neil.. Boulton looked horrible in this fight sort of like Orr the last time he fought Engllend and got knocked out!??? Wait wasn't that last year? LOL... Win Neil...

Posted by MSD on January 03, 2012 at 07:54 PM

Neil destroyed Boulton in a very good fight, perhaps the best of the season???

Posted by mister Wensink on January 04, 2012 at 02:27 PM

Good scrap both guys showed well( & took some shots) but Neil got the right loose and landed a couple more than Boulton.

Posted by kinga101 on January 04, 2012 at 05:17 PM

Pretty evenly matched combatants resulting in a great toe to toe bout. Neil did surprisingly well trading punches, usually he is more of an in-fighter.

Posted by GreatMurray on January 03, 2012 at 07:50 AM

Great Fight! Neil landed a few more in a war. Neil landed the harder punches as well. Win for Neil. Gotta love these two guys. They both were out there to throw fists and they did not disappoint. Unlike the WINTER CLASSIC which was very disappointing for its lack for physical play. Might as have had Vancouver playing Tampa Bay in Honolulu.

Posted by Luvdafights on January 03, 2012 at 08:29 PM

Winner Neil. Neil made this one look easy

Posted by Leafs2012 on January 03, 2012 at 08:34 PM

Can't stand Neil most of the time. Gotta say he kicks Boultons ass here.

Posted by FightsOfHockey on January 02, 2012 at 11:17 PM

good tilt neil wins

Posted by raymi2 on January 03, 2012 at 06:13 AM

Boulton finish strong but Neil got the better of it!

Posted by RdWhtBl24 on January 04, 2012 at 08:04 AM

Mostly Neil but still a pretty good fight, better than most.

Posted by jrjay on March 26, 2012 at 05:28 PM

neils a beast for his size

Posted by homeland on January 06, 2012 at 09:10 AM

Neil wins for quantity and quality

Posted by Double Nickels on January 08, 2012 at 03:58 AM

Neil with a nice inside technique there.

Posted by ronreddog on January 02, 2012 at 09:33 PM

Neil had the early advantage, I thought Boulton came back some, but I give Neil the nod, and I am a Devils fan...

Posted by ObmaBlowz on January 04, 2012 at 01:40 PM

I still dont like neil

Posted by WTEC on January 06, 2012 at 09:14 AM

Great Fight! win Neil

Posted by Greyman on January 03, 2012 at 12:18 AM

That was inventive of Neil in regards to the forearm blows. Most new schoolers would have tried to punch at the guy, regardless of tha other guy's helmet. Neil was basically "ringing in the new year" with those shots. Again very nice.

Posted by RockemSockem16 on April 06, 2013 at 05:13 PM

Now THATS a fight

Posted by Unabomber on January 03, 2012 at 06:15 PM

Another win for Neil!

Posted by sgthoskins on January 06, 2012 at 08:35 AM

Great bout. Neil had Boulton tied up pretty good. Eric did a good job of hanging in there after taking a couple of solid shots.

Posted by jim_mckenzie33 on January 03, 2012 at 02:46 AM

Lot of Chris Neil haters on here...i'm not one of them. Nice win by Neil...he upped ole Boulton a few times and the clara was spilt. Kudos to Boulton for giving Neil the chance with the Devils up a pair. Went back and watched the other two available tilts between these two and they were DYNAMITE. Nice rivalry going here.

Posted by sphinc on January 02, 2012 at 09:41 PM

Sweet scrap!!

Posted by Robo85 on October 04, 2012 at 10:53 AM

Neil is the man!

Posted by Leafs2006 on January 02, 2012 at 09:39 PM

Christine throws a lot, and as always lands nothing, Is your head getting bigger Christine? Wow soon youll be known as the Great Gazoo

Posted by tyrone on January 02, 2012 at 10:32 PM

I think Boulton had the better. Behn Wilson help me out.

too close to tell. must be more sens fans on tonight

Posted by Viper207 on January 03, 2012 at 12:57 PM

Heck of a fight! Boulton got in just enough shots to earn himself a draw in this one, but just barely. What a showing by Neil, however.

Posted by briaro2050 on January 05, 2012 at 08:39 PM

Great fight! Big blows by both men given and tank...winner= fans...thanks guys!

Posted by wildguy12 on January 03, 2012 at 01:37 AM

in regards to Kassian/Hordichuck a few days back, and the people on the site hating on post fight celebrations, where ya at now?? it appears celebration, no matter the size difference of fighter , is accepted and appluaded in not only the minors but majors to.

Posted by bolton510 on January 04, 2012 at 05:49 PM

Neil landed better shots for sure, but Boulton did get a few in himself . . . .

Posted by AbuNidal on January 03, 2012 at 09:38 AM

Love both these guys, Neil avec le gagne, est T!! Pumping the crowd up (and his team) is never a bad thing after a great fight!! At home games it is also saying thank you to the crowd for their appreciation of the toughest part of the job...

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on January 03, 2012 at 01:41 AM

Good bout by two good fighters, Neil had the upper hand in this one, ouch.

Posted by FHgrad99 on January 03, 2012 at 05:32 PM

Not a bad first fight of 2012. Both guys were letting them fly but Neil was landing the better punches. He gets the win and I gave it a 7.

Posted by CloweStaubi on January 02, 2012 at 11:47 PM

boulton looked like he was gonna come back late but neil got the victory in this tilt

Posted by JeanLaValette on January 10, 2012 at 08:08 AM

great bout...neil looking real good for the win

Posted by chad420 on January 05, 2012 at 03:32 PM

Posted by muskokadangler on January 03, 2012 at 12:38 AM

Well this was ALLLLL Neil....He just plain ol out gunned Boulton!!!!

Posted by kkdowning on January 04, 2012 at 09:24 AM

Boulton is not up to snuff and Neil takes the win in a really good one

Posted by Langway on January 03, 2012 at 04:33 PM

Neil landed more punches and better punches for the win. Great fight between two heavyweights!

Posted by Snoka on January 03, 2012 at 10:06 PM

Wow, Christine Neil actually fought someone who can fight. That's a switch for one of the biggest douchebags in the league.

Posted by RangersSuck NJD on January 03, 2012 at 04:16 PM

Great fight between two good fighters. Tons of punches were landed and i think that though the match ended with Boulton getting rocked, the match was a draw.
