The two drop the gloves behind the play and grab ahold of each other near the side boards. McGrattan starts off with a couple of jersey jabs as he backs Belak off before Belak throws an overhand right. McGrattan throws a right of his own and the two exchange a series of jersey jabs. Belak throws one which causes McGrattan to respond with four straight of his own. Belak throws an uppercut and the the two exchange long rights while continuing to keep their distance from one another. Belak throws two more uppercuts, causing McGrattan to return fire with two rights. McGrattan throws a right over the top that hits Belak's back. The two then exchange body shots and McGrattan throws another right before the linsemen finally step in to break things up.

A late hit after the whistle causes a giant scrum in the corner. Neil and Steve Begin drop the gloves and come out of the crowd throwing punches at each other. Downey skates over and grabs Neil. A linesmen comes over and grabs Begin off of Neil, then skates over to Downey and tries to separate him from Neil. Neil throws a left and one of the referees skate over to try and pry them apart as well. Neil screams at him and after a moment they decide to let the two go. They skate further down ice and begin a battle that sees both fighters landing numerous shots, both lefts, rights, and uppercuts. They separate at one point only to continue throwing punches boxing-style before the referees finally step in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Downey received a charging and misconduct; Andrej Meszaros a roughing and misconduct.

The puck drops and these two send their sticks and gloves flying down the ice. They square off and McGrattan grabs Janssen with his left and throws a couple of rights to start things off. They're each holding on with the left, trying to shake their opponent off-balance while throwing some rights. McGrattan uses his reach to lock out Janssen, and Janssen is ducking away from McGrattan's punches as he attempts to get inside for each punch. They go back and forth, with a couple connecting until McGrattan lands a handful of consecutive rights to the back of Janssen's head. Janssen is able to respond with a couple of rights of his own and then a hard shot after McGrattan's lock loosens. They continue exchanging rights, with the time between each punch extended. Janssen is bouncing in his skates trying to wave off the linesmen, but they break up the fight after a pause in punching. McGrattan skates off bleeding from a cut under his left eye.

The two talk a little during the faceoff and drop the mitts directly after it. McGrattan throws a quick right while grabbing ahold of Belak. McGrattan throws four more rights and Belak responds with a couple of body shots. McGrattan misses with a right and Belak attempts an uppercut just before he falls to his knees. McGrattan connects with a right cross while Belak is returning to his feet and throws two more long ones while Belak is backing away. They then exchange a series of jersey-jabs and rights until McGrattan lands two rights to the back of Belak's helmet and the two fall to the ice. The linesmen come in and send them to the penalty boxes where McGrattan does some turtle symbols while Belak looks on.

Tucker takes a run at Eaves along the boards, but is knocked down by Eaves instead. Tucker gets up, grabs Eaves, and quickly drops his gloves, forcing Eaves to do the same in self-defense. Tucker shakes off his elbow pad and Eaves gets in a short left. Tucker comes back with a right followed by two more attempted rights that are blocked. The two exchange punches and Tucker then proceeds to land three straight rights, the last one sending Eaves to the ice. Tucker gets in another right while the two are falling and the linesmen are quick to get in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Tucker received a roughing.

Behind the play the two drop the gloves and square off from center ice to the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and exchange jersey-jabs until McGrattan fires away with two rights. Cairns continues to jab away at McGrattan, putting his opponent's jersey in his face while throwing left jabs. McGrattan answers with an uppercut and two rights before the two wrestle along the boards. McGrattan throws another right and Cairns throws a left uppercut, causing McGrattan to throw a flurry of four quick rights in response. The two then go back and forth with numerous rights for quite a while, each landing a few good ones. Cairns removes his mouthpiece and McGrattan then throws an uppercut just as the linesmen are coming in to separate the two. Cairns gets in a short right, but they are then sent to their respective penalty boxes.

They then drop the gloves and quickly grab ahold of each other with McGrattan throwing a mix of nine straight rights and uppercuts while Janssen tries to get set up. Janssen throws a right that hits McGrattan's arm while McGrattan takes Janssen's helmet off. McGrattan throws ten unanswered rights and uppercuts before Janssen shakes his elbow pad off and finally throws a right in response. They exchange rights and McGrattan goes back to throwing with the right hand, connecting with two more right before Janssen lands a right. They exchange locked-out rights and Janssen switches hands, throwing two lefts. McGrattan comes back with a right cross and the two go back and forth with punches: McGrattan with rights, Janssen sticking with lefts, until the two get tied up and the linesmen move in to end the fight.

They go back and forth with rights and McGrattan makes sure to add in a few jersey-jabs during the exchange. McGrattan throws two more rights that hit Peters' helmet and Peters comes back with one of his own, but the linesmen are right there to skate on in and break things up.

Erskine runs into McGrattan along the boards and McGrattan returns the favor by knocking Erskine to the ice. Donald Brashear skates over and shoves McGrattan, but Erskine quickly gets up to his feet and drops his gloves, forcing McGrattan to do the same. Erskine throws a right cross to start things off, but McGrattan fires back with a right that sends Erskine falling to the ice. Erskine gets back up and throws a right. McGrattan follows with a series of jersey-jabs and Erskine answers with two rights to the back of McGrattan's head. McGrattan throws a right of his own and Erskine connects with two body shots just before they go back and forth with some rights. McGrattan then lands two hard rights that send Erskine down to a knee and the linesmen quickly step in to end the fight.

The whistle blows to stop play and Brashear skates over to Bois. The two shove each other and decide to drop the gloves. They grapple for position and end up against the boards where Bois throws a short left. Bois throws a body shot and another short left. Brashear starts unloading with the left hand, connecting with seven straight to the side of Bois' helmet while Bois tries to move away from the punches and throws a stray left of his own. Brashear switches hands and throws a right, but the two lose their balance and fall to the ice with the linesmen right there to break things up.

They spin around and each throw a short right. Neil switches hands and throws a left, prompting Hordichuk to respond with a right as they go toe-to-toe with punches. Hordichuk switches fists and connects with a left just before Neil gets in a short right and they fall to the ice with the linesmen skating on in shortly after. Other Penalties: Vernon Fiddler received a goaltender interference.

A scrum ensues along the side boards and out of it come Neil and Komisarek with their gloves dropped. The two wrestle around, each trying to get free until they lose their balance and fall to the ice. Neil gets in a right while the two are falling and the linesmen quickly jump on top to prevent anything else from happening. Other Penalties: Francis Bouillon received a hooking.

Gratton throws two rights while Fisher is leaning away. Fisher comes back with a right cross and they go back and forth with rights. Gratton unleashes a flurry of right rights and Fisher switches hands, missing wide with an overhand left. Gratton misses with a right at the same time. They go back and forth with rights until Gratton swings Fisher around into the boards and lands a right. Fisher gets Gratton pinned up against the glass and throws two overhand lefts followed by two more lefts that are blocked by Gratton. Gratton answers with an inside right and then they hold on until the linesmen come in.

Chris Drury shoots the puck towards the Ottawa net and Neil nails him with a hit while he isn't looking. Drury falls to the ice and lays there with blood dripping from his forehead. Stafford quickly skates back and goes after Neil with the two pushing and shoving. They drop their gloves and Neil throws a right at a bent over Stafford. Neil throws another one after that and the two then spin to the ice. Stafford has his jersey up and over his head. The linesmen immediately come in and separate them. Drury is eventually taken back to the dressing room after a few minutes.

They grab ahold of each other and Emery throws five straight rights while Biron is trying to move away from the punches and eventually falls to the ice. Emery pins Biron on the ice and then eventually lets him up only to get tripped to the ice himself by Biron. Emery gets back to his feet and the two skate away from each other. Peters spots Emery over near the side boards afterwards and skates towards him with a mean look on his face. Peters grabs Emery and throws a right to start things off. One of the linesmen tries to grab Peters, but quickly decides to let them continue. Peters throws another right and Emery attempts a short right of his own. Peters connects with three straight rights to the side of Emery's head and Emery again just throws a weak right that comes up short. They exchange rights and Peters pushes Emery towards the side boards while Emery is smiling and laughing. Peters connects with another right, but the linesmen and one of the referees are right there to break things up. Other Penalties: Each player received a leaving the crease penalty and game misconduct.

Right off of the faceoff, Mair cross-checks Jason Spezza three times, trying to get him to drop the gloves. Mair continues to chase after Spezza and finally gets ahold of him. Spezza goes to the ground and everyone piles in. Volchenkov grabs Mair from behind and prevents him from doing anything else to Spezza. The continue to wrestle around in the pile until they are eventually separated by the linesmen. Other Penalties: Mair receievd an instigator and misconduct; Patrick Kaleta and Chris Phillips each received a misconduct.

These two tie up near the Panthers' net. As the puck moves up the ice they drop the gloves and square off. Neil takes a righty stance, Montador a southpaw. Montador grabs Neil and quickly lands a couple of lefts. Neil grabs Montador and gets his helmet off as they begin to grapple. They grapple and Neil attempts a couple of rights, then lefts, but he can't get his arm free enough to throw a full punch. Montador throws a right that Neil avoids. Montador starts to go down from the momentum and Neil turns him around. Montador gets up and Neil throws a big right that lands on Montador's back as Montador falls again. This time Montador makes it to the ice and Neil lands on top. The linesmen come in and break it up.
