Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Feb 22, 2007 Ottawa Senators Ray Emery
2pd 05:13 Buffalo Sabres Andrew Peters
Comments: The two goalies decide to go at it among the rest of the chaos, each shedding their gloves, blockers, and masks and meeting at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and Emery throws five straight rights while Biron is trying to move away from the punches and eventually falls to the ice. Emery pins Biron on the ice and then eventually lets him up only to get tripped to the ice himself by Biron. Emery gets back to his feet and the two skate away from each other. Peters spots Emery over near the side boards afterwards and skates towards him with a mean look on his face. Peters grabs Emery and throws a right to start things off. One of the linesmen tries to grab Peters, but quickly decides to let them continue. Peters throws another right and Emery attempts a short right of his own. Peters connects with three straight rights to the side of Emery's head and Emery again just throws a weak right that comes up short. They exchange rights and Peters pushes Emery towards the side boards while Emery is smiling and laughing. Peters connects with another right, but the linesmen and one of the referees are right there to break things up. Other Penalties: Peters received an instigator, roughing and game misconduct.

Peters finds Emery up along the boards and locks on. Then Peters throws two punches barely touching Emery, then Emery throws one weak punch. Peters then throws four rights and then gets in a body shot, then Peters switches back to rights getting one more in. Emery then responds with one of his own, then they get up along the boards where Peters throws one more right and then the linesmen come in to break it up.

Lindy declared that enough is enough with the head hunting. Murray is the one who should be dealt with for sending a goon out to hurt the Sabres star player, Murray started it, Lindy finished it.

McGrattan has been owned by Peters, so stop with the McGrattan garbage.

Peters kicked Emery's ass. and this was a good job done by Peters and the Sabres as a team becuz theyre already beat up and this was good to see them take a stand as a team and if ur gonan take out our star we'll take out urs. WAY TO ****IN GO SABRES i gained alot of Respect for the Sabres as a team here and im sure this will go far aswell for the team and making them tighter as a team.

emery is a bigger guy and can handle himself. He is probably one of the bigger goaltenders in the leauge and could take any goaltender toe to toe. Why not let him go against someone that is his size. to bad murray is to big of a bi*ch to step down off the glass and talk to Lindy face to face. cant wait till saturday its going to be a bloodbath i would scratch briere and spezza just so they dont get cheap shotted. cant wait to see the sabres screw some senators up

i'd like to point out the fact that when peters went after emery, all the senators stood there and watched. if one of ottawa's skaters went after biron or miller, all five guys would be there in an instant, ripping his face off. sens are absolutely pathetic and cowardly.

Peters gets the win but Emery does well to hang in and not make a fool of himself against a top 10 guy

Peters won this fight, but he shouldn't have even gone in there in the first place. The Sens on the ice at the time should be ashamed of themselves for letting Emery go that long with Peters. Take a penalty, a fine, or a suspension, but get the f over there to defend your goalie you women!

I totally agree about the homer reviews. I hate the sens and buffalo equally. What else do you expect from Neil, although he's come a long way this season, he's still a goon. The hit on Drury was head hunting, but hes not the only guy who does it. Drury got caught with his head down, end of story. Ruff then sends out a tough guy line AFTER the sens sent out their scoring line since they had last change. Bit of a cheap move by Ruff. Mair is a total coward, Spezza can't fight, we've seen that. As for Peters, the guys a joke anyways. You see Emery laughing at him, he knows hes a joke.
I am excited for tonight, although I'll only get highlites throughout the leafs game. Can't wait to see McGratton and Peters, I don't care who wins, it'll be old time hockey.

Peters is a puss. Fighting a goalie who already had a scrap. He should have killed Emery because he was fresh and is supposed to be a bad ass. His rep just dropped a few notches. You hear what I'm saying Sabres fans? PUSS-AY!!!

Wow, I can't believe that Peters couldn't dominate in a fight with a goalie, hmph!

Jumping a Goalie who has already fought (and won) and who who is still recovering from a hand injury. He's tough.

Do you think he'll fight Neil Saturday night? I doubt it.
