The two come out of the penalty boxes and immediately drop the gloves, shedding the helmets as well. They grab ahold of each other and grapple, each one struggling to get an arm free. Laperriere is the first to get loose and he lands three rights to the side of Barnaby's head. Barnaby returns the favor with a similar combination and the two go back and forth with quick rights to the back and side of each other's heads. They grapple some more and Laperriere lands three more rights to the back of Barnaby's head. Barnaby answers with a right cross just before he shakes off his elbow pad. The two wrestle around some more and Laperriere connects with three more rights to the back of Barnaby's head. They then wrestle up against the benches and throw short punches until the linesmen grab them and end the fight.

Rasmussen lays out Sergei Zubov with a big hit along the side boards. Daley immediately goes after Rasmussen and the two drop the gloves. Daley throws a right to start things off and Rasmussen lands three rights to the side of Daley's helmet in response. Daley throws another right and shakes his elbow pad off while Rasmussen struggles to get free. Daley throws an uppercut and four hard rights that knock Rasmussen's helmet off just before Rasmussen is forced to respond with a right in order to get Daley to stop throwing for a moment. The two exchange short rights and then hold on until the linsemen eventually decide to come in. Zubov remains face down on the ice. Other Penalties: Daley received an instigator and misconduct.

Armstrong and Robidas grab ahold of each other and drop the gloves, skating further down ice to get away from the crowd. Armstrong throws a short right before Robidas fires away with two lefts. Robidas falls to the ice and Armstrong allows him to return to his feet. Robidas then throws two lefts and a right. Armstrong returns fire with a left and a right, and Robidas throws two lefts in response. Armstrong throws two long rights just before the two fall to the ice. The linesmen come in to break things up and Armstrong skates away trying to pump up the crowd. Other Penalties: Armstrong received a roughing; Sean Avery a high sticking and misconduct; Matt Barnaby a double roughing and misconduct.

The horn sounds to end the period, but Barnaby and Moen decide to drop the mitts and duke it out at center ice. Barnaby chases Moen with long rights to start things off and Moen responds with a right of his own. The two exchange rights to the side of the head and Moen throws a couple of more rights while Barnaby tries to shake off his elbow pad. Moen throws a flurry of eight straight rights while they are spinning around, but most of them miss their target. They wrestle around for a bit until Barnaby gets an arm free and throws two rights to the side of Moen's head. Barnaby connects with a short right to the back of Moen's head and a left cross that surprises Moen. Moen responds with a right-uppercut combination and the two then grapple some more. Barnaby misses wide with a left hook and Moen then throws four rights to the back of Barnaby's helmet. They then hold on, causing the linesmen to skate on over towards them. Barnaby throws an overhand right, but the linemen have already grabbed both players.

Grier runs into Marty Turco behind the net, prompting Boucher to go right after him. Boucher shoves him twice and the two drop the gloves. Boucher loses his balance and goes down to a knee, allowing Grier to four lefts to the back of his helmet. Boucher gets back up to his feet and Grier lands a short right inside while the two are in tight. The two then wrestle around until the linesmen come in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Grier received a charging.

Boynton takes exception and challenges Barnaby with the two exchanging a few words just before they drop the gloves and tie up. Boynton throws an early right and the two grapple for position. Barnaby throws two rights to the back of Boynton's helmet and shakes his elbow pad off shortly after. Boynton returns fire with a left and the two continue to exchange lefts and rights while in tight. Barnaby gets Boynton's helmet off and lands a right while telling the linesmen to back off. Boynton pushes Barnaby against the glass and they exchange another series of short rights and lefts before the linesmen are now called in by Barnaby to end the fight.

Burrows starts shoving Stephane Robidas in front of the Dallas net, eventually getting him bent over while the linesmen are trying to separate the two. Barnaby skates over and gets the sticks up with Burrows, yapping in his face. The linesmen try to break things up, but the two drop their gloves, remove their helmets, and skate out towards the blue line where they square off. Barnaby grabs ahold of Burrows and throws a long right while the two are spinning around. Burrows loses his balance and falls to the ice, throwing a right while he is going down. Burrows returns to his feet and throws six rights to the back of Barnaby's head. They grapple and exchange punches to the back and side of each other's head for an extended period of time. They finally open up and Barnaby throws a right while Burrows is going down to a knee. The linesmen quickly intervene and the fight is ended. Other Penalties: Each player received a roughing.

They grab ahold of each other and Hinote throws two short rights to start things off. They grapple for a while, each player struggling to get an arm free as both have tied each other up quite well. Hinote gets free and throws a right just before Lindros throws one to the back of his head. Lindros throws another one to the back of Hinote's head and the two fall to the ice. The linesmen intervene right after. Other Penalties: Lindros received a holding; Philippe Boucher and Dallas Drake each received a misconduct.

An offsides call on the Dallas Stars halts play and Mayers goes directly after Morrow. The two quickly drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other, actively wrestling around in tight. Morrrow creates distance and lands an uppercut, following it up with a right to Mayers' helmet. Mayers throws two rights and gets another one in while Morrow goes down to a knee. Morrow gets back up to his feet and the two exchange punches to the back of the head until they lose their balance and head to the ice with the linesmen grabbing them as soon as they fall.

Ference gets back up and goes right after Barnaby, pushing him up against the glass just before the two drop the gloves. Ference throws five short rights to start things off and Barnaby returns fire with one during Ference's flurry. Ference gets Barnaby's helmet off and the two go back and forth with a mix of rights and uppercuts. Both Barnaby and Ference shake off their elbow pads only to receive a few shots in return. They continue to go back and forth with punches while they venture to the back of the net and battle along the boards. They keep on exchanging rights at a good pace with Barnaby getting the better of Ference. Barnaby switches hands and lands a left, but the linesmen decide to move in and end the fight.

Behind the play the two drop the gloves and square off, grabbing ahold of each other in the Rangers' zone. Barnaby throws three inside rights and Hollweg responds with two short ones of his own. They wrestle around and Barnaby gets in a couple of rights while Hollweg throws four overhand lefts. Hollweg rips Barnaby's helmet off and Barnaby follows with two rights that are impeded by his elbow pad. Barnaby connects with four rights to the side of Hollweg's head and starts landing body shots, forcing Hollweg to answer with a right. Barnaby shakes his head, telling the linesmen to stay away and connects with a few more rights. They then exchange some lefts and rights before the linesmen see an opening and intervene, ending the fight.

The Stars are offside, the whistle is blown and these two drop the gloves and square off. Each player gets in a righty stance and Barnaby discards his elbow pads. They grab on and get in-tight, Thornton throwing a couple of shots to the back of Barnaby's head. Thornton throws a couple of rights and Barnaby a left while they wrestle around. Thornton goes to the left, gets off a couple of shots and then switches back to the right while Barnaby just tries to hold him off. Thornton then gets rid of his right elbow pad, gets his right arm out from under his jersey, and tosses about 3-4 rights over the top. They wrestle and Thornton throws another right and then an uppercut before throwing Barnaby up against the boards. Barnaby ducks under another Thornton right and tries to switch positions, but Thornton gets him pressed up against the boards again. Barnaby shakes his head to tell the linesmen to stay out of it and tries to get off a couple of lefts, but Thornton starts in with the rights again, and after a couple they're pressed up against the boards again and the linesmen come in.

The two wrestle around and Getzlaf throws a short right followed by a right to the back of the head, an uppercut, and a straight right. Halpern struggles to get an arm free and Getzlaf throws one more right to the back of Halpern's head before they tumble to the ice. The linesmen then quickly skate over and grab them, ending the fight. Other Penalties: Halpern received a high sticking.

Robidas shoves Ruutu a couple of times while they skate into the side boards with Krys Barch trying to get to Ruutu, but being blocked by a linesman. They get some space away from everybody and Ruutu throws four consecutive rights while Robidas tries to get his right hand free. Ruutu connects with a short right and pauses just before connecting with three more rights. Robidas throws a right in response, but Ruutu connects witih one at the same time, sending Robidas to the ice. Ruutu falls on top of him and the linesmen quickly jump on top to break things up.

O'Brien lands a short right inside, knocking O'Brien partially off-balance and preventing him from connecting with a right. O'Brien throws two more rights and Barch adds one of his own just before they lose their balance and fall to the ice. Other Penalties: Barch received a slashing.

Away from the pile, Barch and Pronger are tied up and Barch continually tries to get Pronger to drop the gloves while a linesmen tries to separate them. Finally Pronger decides to accept the challenge and drops his gloves, quickly throwing three rights while Barch ducks away from the shots. Pronger then wrestles Barch to the ice and the linesman jumps on top of the two, getting them sent on their separate ways rather easily. Other Penalties: Barch received a game misconduct; Steve Ott a double roughing; Corey Perry a roughing.

They then go toe-to-toe with a few pauses in between: Barch stays with the left; Clowe goes with the right. Clowe ends the exchange by wrestling Barch to the ice. The linesmen then quickly skate on in and break things up.

Lindros falls down for a moment, but gets back up and then goes after Murray, cross-checking him. Murray challenges Lindros and drops his gloves, as well as taking off his helmet, but Barch skates in gloves off, and locks horns with Murray. Murray throws an overhand right to begin the scrap and Barch connects with two short rights after that. Murray comes back with two rights, the second sending Barch's helmet flying. Barch returns fire with a right and shakes off his elbow pad. Murray throws two rights and an uppercut just before Barch lands a right cross. They then exchange locked-out rights until Barch is flipped to the ice by Murray. The linesmen then intervene and the fight quickly ends. Other Penalties: Barch received an instigator and misconduct; Murray a high sticking; Eric Lindros a cross checking.

Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off. They grab ahold of each other and Thornton throws a few rights that come up a bit short while they grapple. Thornton gets his right arm free and lands a couple of rights while Barch responds with a right of his own. Barch then throws a quick right over Thornton. Thornton responds with a left that Barch avoids. Barch throws a punch, sticking with the right, and the awkward position allows Thornton to switch back to the right and land a couple of good shots. They exchange a few more rights before starting to grapple. They open up into a wide stance while they start to spin and Thornton throws a few more rights with one possibly landing. Barch attempted one shot, but was losing his balance as Thornton spins him to the ice. The linesmen then come in to break it up.

Barch stands back up and blocks another right with his forearm. Barch throws a right that just misses and then switches hands, throwing a right. Barch shakes off his elbow pad and throws an uppercut. McLaren then drives him into the boards and the linesmen are right there to intervene and break things up.

Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off next to the side boards. They grab ahold of each other and are quick to remove one another's helmet. Barch throws a right to the side of Bell's head just as Bell shoves Barch against the glass. They move away from the boards and Barch throws a flurry of six body shots and an overhand right. Bell responds with an overhand right that misses over the top, allowing Barch to throw two more rights. They then go back and forth with rights until Bell goes down to a knee with his jersey up and over his head. Bell stands back up, but the linesmen are right there to grab them and prevent anything else from happening.

Lindros and Jackman bump in the corner while trying to play the puck around the boards. They continue to push and shove behind the Blues' net until Lindros skates away. Jackman skates after him and gives Lindros a shot from behind, causing Lindros to turn around and cross-check Jackman. They get the sticks up and then drop the gloves with Jackman throwing a right that Lindros is able to duck while they grab onto each other. Jackman then throws two short lefts before Lindros is able to tie him up. They wrestle around for a long while, each attempting locked-out rights and struggling to get an arm free. Lindros throws a right that comes up short and then gets Jackman bent over, holding him in that position until the linesmen decide to intervene and break things up. Other Penalties: Lindros received a high sticking.

After a hard hit near the benches Kostopoulos and Barch drop the gloves and quickly grab on to each other. The start exchanging rights, Barch goes up high and Kostopoulos mixes in some body shots. After a couple of shots Barch's helmet pops off. After a few more rights they get into an awkward position against the Stars' bench and Barch is the only the one who continues to throw. The move away from the boards and Kostopoulos tries to re-position himself without losing his balance. He gets off one right and Barch counterpunches as Barch spins Tom K around towards the Kings' bench. As the linemen come in to break it up Raitis Ivanans has some words for Barch from the bench, and has to be pushed to his seat.

Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off at center ice. King waves Barch in and they grab ahold of each other. King throws a right that Barch is able to duck away from. Barch throws a right and King responds at the same time with three quick ones that buckle Barch and send him to his knees. King continues to throw rights while Barch works his way back to his feet. Barch shakes off his elbow pad and returns fire with a right. They go toe-to-toe with rights for a short while, each landing some. Barch connects with an uppercut inside and King shakes his elbow pad off before pushing Barch up against the boards. They exchange short rights along the glass while spinning around. They grapple some more until King connects with a body shot and follows it up with an overhand right. King takes Barch's helmet off and then throws two rights to the side of his head. Barch attempts an overhand right, but it is blocked. King keeps Barch to the outside by preventing him from getting on the inside of his left arm and then throws a right to the back of Barch's head. The linesmen see that Barch is turning away and then decide to end the scrap by intervening and quickly separating the two.
