Cooke is a huge cancer and exactly what is wrong with the new pussified NHL.......he has how many knee on knee cheap shots to his name???

all that being said he came out and dropped the gloves like a man and took his beating (props)......and yea Thorton was perfectly fine to keep hitting him when he was down....Cooke is a wanker

Props to Cooke for taking his lumps without hesitation,
although I still think there's more pain coming in the future
before he can actually achieve some sort of closure.

He needs to be beaten a couple of more times and a little better than that but Thornton did what he was supposed to do!!!

BT WILSON I love your honesty your the best man!!!!!! :) That is f#*ing funny

good on cooke for not running away like i would expect him to do (and what i would do). he answered the bell, got thumped as was inevitable. could've been a lot worse really, he pretty much escaped that one. and honestly, i have a hard time getting on thornton for the extra shots, those bruins must be so choked still, i mean, from what i've seen from him, savard is just the nicest guy, and such a terrific player, thats got to be quite demoralizing for the team what happened. cooke and thornton both stepped up, hopefully this ends the "well if the instigator rule was in place, those hits wouldn't happen". clearly, that is a moot point.

Sorry Bruin fans- Nothing to be proud of- The team was embarrassed tonight and Thornton now goes in the same chapter as Hartnell and Avery. Cheap shots while the other guy is down is really lame.

Cooke gets what he deserves, I think he knew he couldn't run from it and decided to get it over with. Thorts beats his ass and gets the TKO.

Win Thornton. Can someone please go over to the Chicago Blackhawks board an explain to those idiot Blackhawk fans why this fight took place,

at least Cooke was a man and didn't run away this time. Kept his helmet and visor on though, not shocking. Cooke took his beating by Thornton and the Bruins got some revenge back.

If they did a thing on villans of the nhl and matt cooke would be on that list along with several others. Cooke didn't want to take his visor off cause of who he was fighting here. This is the only time I have no problem with Thornton still throwing late cause he never does. Cooke tried to fight early but he's only a little guy and a puke but at least he didn't runaway.

Cook must be happy to get that over with early. Kind of over-the-top of Thornton to keep swinging after banging Cooke's face into the ice but I guess he was excited. Thornton is big and tough, Cooke is smaller and tough.

Win to Thornton...not a thrashing but a convincing win.
