Decent commentary by the announcers,
(what!!?...I know, but it happens so rarely that you have to point it out).

Props to Boll for even trying, but this ended about as one-sided
as everyone expected it to be.

Slight correction...
when I agreed with boxshute earlier on the Konopka-Vlabik fight,, I actually misread his review, and assumed he was talking about ''these two guys'', not ''these two teams''.

My apologies to all Thrasher and Lightning fans.

But not to Zenon and Boris.

Ah, the big "what if" had Boogaard connected with that huge overhand right. Funny thing is that earlier in the first period Boogaard almost tipped in a shot that would have been his first NHL goal. The play-by-play announcer joked that it was his 203rd game and Boogaard had told him earlier, "Do you have to be so specific?"

It would be nice to see Boogie actually fight someone, it has been over a month since he actually fought a heavyweight (McGratten). Time he went with goddard who KO'd him twice last year or one of the other real heavyweights instead of these lightweights he picks.

Would love to have these two on my team. Boll just shows how much guts he has.. and great job in avoiding those rights! W Boogey man.

i don't care much for the guy, because he's huge and frightening, but boogaard is THE measuring stick in the NHL for fighters. a lot of people will argue about who's the champ, but though he's gone down a couple times, boogaard is the man to beat, no doubt.

Boll did a good job here and survive. Boogaard didnt land many but enough to win.

Boll hung in there and probably would have gotten clocked sooner or later, but give him credit and it wasn't a TKO, but Boogaard just brings too much to the table in this match up.

Gotta give Boll a lot of credit for having the balls to fight a much bigger guy to try and get his team going. Gotta have respect for that. He didn't win the fight but he did do his job.

Boll did not have much of a shot. Win Boogey.

The big goon Derek Boogaard is going to seriously kill someone one of these days, He ain't much of a player, but there isn't anyone who can handle him in the fight cause that's all he prepares for. Plus he's 6-8 260. 10 times out of 10 a mismatch. Even the others his height around the league couldn't absorb the blows if he lands.
