are you kidding me? May landed lots of shots with the GLOVE....noticed the black eye may was wearing rest of the game.... quit posting homer video

Posted by cmshort11 on November 19, 2009 at 10:31 PM

Good scrap these guys were made to fight eachother, and bradmay10 your an idiot, May isnt 5-0 against Barch its been a fairly even series.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on November 18, 2009 at 11:12 PM

may with a close win........why the hell did may fight almost the whole fight wearing his left glove?

Posted by legion31 on November 19, 2009 at 05:44 PM

win for the old warrior

Posted by staceyb on November 19, 2009 at 05:52 AM

Entertaining if nothing else.

Posted by Towmater on November 18, 2009 at 11:02 PM

Barch couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag this year, man he's terrible. Easy win by the old man.

Posted by mikeruddyjr on November 19, 2009 at 11:49 AM

Good to see krys bitch get his arse kicked!

Posted by jvwood1 on November 20, 2009 at 11:54 AM

I give the win to May, but not by the landslide all the Detroit posters here gave him. Sorry boys, they both landed some shots and May landed more.

Posted by carolyn1946 on November 18, 2009 at 11:37 PM

THIS WAS A CLOSE FIGHT. BUT I GIVE THE WIN TO MAY..

Posted by SABREHATRED on November 18, 2009 at 10:51 PM

It might take 15 years, but maybe the stench of buffalo does come off.... nahhh, Barch just sucks!!!!!

Posted by lakingsfan2009 on November 18, 2009 at 10:59 PM

Always fun to see these 2 go at it! edge to May....

May win, class act pulling the shield off...

Posted by basil73 on November 19, 2009 at 09:59 AM

Old man rocks!

Posted by PuckmaninMN on November 19, 2009 at 12:47 PM

Barch surpised me a bit here by hanging in there as long as he did and not hugging at all. May switches hands and lands the harder shots by far. Next time Barch should see if him and Ott can take on May and win. Dallas' fighting skills are equivalent for a college hockey team. Edge to May.

Posted by Frank Rizzo14 on November 18, 2009 at 10:59 PM

This is a great fight both are friends (kinda) and they have fought 5 times now. I give a lot of credit to brad may being the only one that is willing to fight at any given time with any given person on the red wings. He is getting up in age and is still doing what he does best very well.

Posted by Richterfan on November 19, 2009 at 06:44 PM

Great fight! May with the win and a Barch shows a great chin. How can the NHL not see how a fight like this adds so much more to the game. The league should be promoting guys like May as much as the promote a guy like Crosby.

Posted by nighthawk walt on November 19, 2009 at 04:35 PM

may with the victory, landed more and better shots.

Posted by followthecode on November 18, 2009 at 11:23 PM

Saw a lot of near misses by Barch. Did he land anything? Someone needs to tell May he's too much of a badass to play for the Wings. Win May.

Posted by kimo_coyote on November 19, 2009 at 03:24 PM

Barch can't "lick his lips" but you have to give it to him, he will go. May clear winner.

Posted by piney on November 19, 2009 at 08:29 PM

nice bout. win to May

Posted by David Gutierrez on December 28, 2009 at 06:16 PM

i thought May landed better punches WIN for May

Posted by Muscles on November 20, 2009 at 07:10 PM

All May.

Posted by shrk33 on November 19, 2009 at 11:41 AM

a nice tussle between May and Barch. May controls the fight and wins pretty easily over Barch. I will give Barch credit, he hung in and was throwing (didn't land much really) and gave a pretty solid effort. Much better than many of his other fights. I enjoyed the coverage of the pregame talk these two had.

Posted by HerbRaglan on November 19, 2009 at 11:13 PM

Love to see the old man beat up on Barch

Posted by snowave on November 19, 2009 at 02:03 PM

May with the win. I love the guy, come back to Anaheim.. we suck and need some passion! one of the better middle/light heavy rivalries in the game.

Posted by Dave Brown HOF on November 20, 2009 at 08:45 PM

May with the win. That guy is the ultimate warrior and I like the respect that those two have for each other . Very entertaining.

Posted by bruins rule on November 18, 2009 at 10:25 PM

good fight between these 2 guys.have to give may the win.

Posted by Hendo67 on November 19, 2009 at 12:20 AM

Good scrap, May clocked him hard once...Win for May

Posted by JLenardDetroit on November 18, 2009 at 11:27 PM

These two have a great ongoing rivalry. What was setup prior to the game in pre-game warmup didn't quite fit the billing, but was/is still entertaining, as Brad May clearly wins this fight by virtue of keeping Barch's arm hindered. Barch tried to land, what looked to be a fantastic blow, but MISSED (actually a few near misses, and that is "slanting" some folks objectivity/votes as that may not come across clear on smaller screens) - and he was in trouble from there on. May forced a take-down (different than the knock-down) for the fight to finish, brilliant strategy, as the younger Barch would have had a good chance to bring the Fight back up to at least a Draw had it potentially gone on. May clearly staggers Barch on one blow and close on another, while the "knocked his helmet off" swing was not as bad as it sounds/looks from the angle. Of greater consequence in this game is the GAME TYING GOAL BY MAY went in on a back-hand shot and was across the line and in the net a FULL 2-3 SECONDS before any whistle blew. The in-close Official thought the puck was outside the Net under Auld's catchers glove. Auld quickly pulled the puck from the Net after, but there was/is ZERO mistake (not even close to being inconclusive) that the Puck was clearly in, for 2-3 seconds before a sounding whistle (or any claim of "intent" to blow as the Official drew in closer to the Net before blowing the whistle and instead "BLEW THE CALL," and there was no excuse for May to have not WON this FIght, Having scored the tying (2-2) goal with plenty of time left in the Game, and the opportunity then for him to potentially go on to complete the HOWE-TRICK (Gordy Howe Hat-Trick: Fight, Goal, Assist). This is well worth sharing with friends for the shear start (pre-game warmup) to finish aspects of the Fighters code (discussed in video if you watch the whole thing).

EASY win for Brad.... all the big punches landed by May

Posted by Scouser on November 19, 2009 at 11:11 AM

A great rivalry between two great combatants. May with the win in this one but it's great to see them continuing where they left off last season. It's a shame this was overshadowed by the worst refereeing decision I think I have ever seen, robbing Brad of a perfectly good goal.

Posted by Mick17 on November 19, 2009 at 02:29 PM

May Day with a nice win over Barch, May can still throw them..

Posted by courtland_17 on November 19, 2009 at 06:30 PM

Barch just couldn't get it together. May clearly has the upperhand experience-wise.

Posted by Togalthorpe on November 19, 2009 at 03:42 PM

Great tilt for the old dog

Posted by Clark75 on November 19, 2009 at 06:24 PM

Not bad for an old guy. May is awesome! He's such a great guy to have on your team. He's very well respected all over the league.

Posted by smichaels10 on November 19, 2009 at 02:31 AM

Win May! And I love the call from Mickey Redmond. That man gets fired up!

Good one with lots of bombs...some connected mainly on Barch's dome...good clean fight

Posted by StanFischler Jr on November 19, 2009 at 10:59 PM

It's amazing that some fine people voted Barch as the winner. What are you folks thinking? May with the clear win in a nice fight.

Posted by saw72893 on November 20, 2009 at 06:01 PM

May got in some pretty decent shots. One of the better fights this past few weeks!

Posted by probie83 on November 20, 2009 at 06:59 AM

Old man May still getting it done.

Posted by germxv on November 19, 2009 at 05:11 PM

i don't like the fights that were born with any true malice but for a gentlemen's fight..........this was pretty darn good.

Posted by rwlsn on November 19, 2009 at 11:02 AM

Too bad Mays heart isn't contagious.

Posted by Big Little Tank on November 20, 2009 at 12:43 PM

I am gonna have to score May with the win. A TKO win, even though he lost balance at the end. Gotta give him credit. Love his new "Bob and Weave" Style! :D

Posted by Maggie3and Me on November 19, 2009 at 09:42 PM

For a guy 38 years old May is having an amazing year. Another very good tilt between these two. Hell of fight. May landed a series of good left hands and knocked Barch to the ice. Barch got up but couldn't do enough to get the win. Win May

Posted by k2412 on November 18, 2009 at 11:07 PM

ANOTHER GOOD FIGHT FROM THESE TWO. MAY WITH THE WIN

Posted by stevkrause on November 19, 2009 at 09:50 AM

Great spirited go - I live watching these 2 go - always give a good showing. Way more shots landed by May and a clear win for May.

Posted by BigRob1 on November 19, 2009 at 03:52 PM

Slight edge to May in this one. I love it when these two drop the gloves. They just match up perfect, and they no how to throw with both hands.

Posted by ShuterMcGav on November 19, 2009 at 05:17 PM

Good fight, l like the respect

Posted by jbaktai on November 19, 2009 at 12:12 PM

another good fight by these guys. I give it to May.

Posted by bob35 on November 19, 2009 at 04:47 PM

good fight, and these two chatted it up in the penalty box, actually joking with eachother. Brad removed his visor in the second period when they fought so there would be no problems, and they chatted before the game.

Posted by Martell on November 19, 2009 at 08:44 PM

Barch hit face. May hit helmet. Draw at best. No way win for May. Dropped on his butt when he had to switch to right hand,

Posted by mcb789 on November 18, 2009 at 10:54 PM

barch destroyed the detroit weak wing may in this fight. easy one sided win for barch.

Posted by Starsdomination on November 19, 2009 at 04:46 PM

barch ftw. may's shots were weak. barch only fell because he lost his balance.

Posted by igalriga on November 18, 2009 at 10:26 PM

very good fight.

Posted by DARCY T on December 05, 2009 at 06:49 AM

another great fight of these guys.i give to barch just becuz so many votes go to may.barch landed better shots, especially that one at the beginnin was huge and may bailed out

Posted by goon10 on November 19, 2009 at 11:44 PM

So the NHL should highlight a guy like May, eh? Because of his heart and his respect for the game? Rewind a few years to the playoffs when he blindsided and sucker-punched the Wild's Kim Jonnsson, giving him a concussion that ended his season. Classy move. You will never convince me punching someone who isn't looking or expecting it is part of the game. I'll respect May the day somebody cold-cocks him when he's not looking and ends his season. Karma, Brad.

Posted by illukka on November 19, 2009 at 06:07 AM

part xx in the epic series may-barch strong showing by may, gets the win here

Posted by Oil Can Henry on November 18, 2009 at 11:04 PM

Close fight - edge to May, slightly. Barch might've taken him if May stayed on his feet, though.

Posted by Bahjay on November 19, 2009 at 06:10 AM

Wow... some people on this site are just that retarded... that was May's elbow pad not glove... give your head a shake.

Posted by preds321 on November 19, 2009 at 01:13 AM

that would be his elbow pad, not glove

Posted by marinermoose38 on November 19, 2009 at 12:41 AM

May's the winner, as much as I hate the Wings!

Posted by jcstokes on November 19, 2009 at 10:46 AM

May wins. Barch did land a doozy. May's had some career. Fighting for almost 20 years.

Posted by muskokadangler on November 19, 2009 at 05:19 PM

How can anyone hate on a guy who is still doin it well after all these years and with all these young Buck's...................I will tell ya how!!!!!! They don't appreciate the courage and balls it takes for these guys to do this day in and day out. They hater's arn't tough and don't know tough!!!!!!!!!!!!

win may...great 2 em yucking it up in penalty box...good fight boys

Posted by Viper207 on September 10, 2015 at 03:27 AM

Solid fight from the wily veteran and the younger veteran of many endeavors. Brad May gets the better of Krys Barch in this one.

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on November 18, 2009 at 11:22 PM

Barch can sure take a shot. May nailed him clean several times and knocked him down, but Barch wasn't even fazed and fired back himself. Win to May for the bigger punches.

Posted by salmon dog on November 19, 2009 at 01:09 AM

Nice win for May.

Posted by remhead on November 19, 2009 at 06:55 AM

May by a hair. It's be nice to see someone else on Detroit drop the mitts once in a while. Give the old man a break.

don't like the fact that may quit but he landed more blows.
