It's good to see Rypien back. He's very much like some of the old school fighters like Tiger Williams or Stan Jonathan.

I'm not too familiar with Rypien but he appears to be a very good scrapper. He wins despite a rather large size disadvantage

My oh my that was a great fight. Switching them up like that, very good energetic fight. Rypien landed some nice shots. Win for Rypien and an 8. Thank you for that fellahs, showing the rest how its done! (Sight, Garrett... as a former BCian I don't really miss you very much.)

Rypien could give the ''stached-one'' some pointers on how to actually win a hockey fight.
This guy's fun to watch...where's he been?

Yes. YES! He's back. Now the cup goes to Vancouver.

Very good fight. Close one, but Rypien landed a lot more meaningful shots.

Rypien is back and that makes for some entertaining scraps. Go check his history out they are all toe to toe, and he almost always gives up a few inches and 25+ pounds. If only he could stay healthy....

He did leave the team earlier this year after getting hurt yet again. Perhaps depressed, or contemplating his career? The usual substance abuse rumours came up. Not sure what happened or why.

Rypien wanted it, he got it and won

Rypien may be the best pound-for-pound fighter I've seen, he's smaller than Mike Keane. Watch some of his fights on youtube, against Commodore and Mike Moore he actually blocks punches with his forearms when he gets into toe-to-toe battles.....who does that??? He whooped Carcillo's ass. He's a student of hockey-fighting and reminds me a little of Dody Wood. If he can stay healthy he's gonna be a force.

Rypien with some nice on target lefts, clearly winning this scrap...

I swear, If rypien weighed like 30 more pounds. He'd be a Tie Domi status fighter.
