Eric Godard vs Chris Neil

Gotta give Neil credit for manning up, but once Godard got that right elbow pad off...I counted at least 6 unanswered power rights.
Neil did manage to smile his way out of any further pummelling at the end, as the champ eventually let him off the hook.

Don Cherry showed this fight at the end of HNIC and had tremendous praise for both combatants. Neil doesn't back down from anybody and Godard is one of the two or three best fighters in the NHL this season.

give Neil credit....Neal is better suited to the two spot on a roster as far as fighting goes but he steps up here does his job and handles himself nicely

Godard but not by too much. I like the announces was shocked that Neil went. Neil usually hits someone from behind like a scumbag and runs away wetting himself unless he feels he has an obvious fight win.

I dont know why anyone would want to fight Godard so I have to give big credit to Neil. But that being said Godard with the easy win.

Neil is impressive in this highly entertainig scrap but goddard still gets a W for finishing what they started.

Great fight. Those last 4 rights by Godard definitely get him the win in this one and Chris Neil did much better than expected. He's a tough kid, probably used to getting beat up by his friends and family as a kid. lol

neil took some enormous punishment in this one....he is a bit out of his league here.

Godard landed the harder shots. Glad that Neil didn't play Chrissy the turtle.
