They wrestle around in tight and Fedoruk throws a flurry of body shots and short rights that knock Thornton's helmet off. They exchange overhand rights and Fedoruk tries to come inside with a body shot. Thornton comes over the top with two rights before losing his balance and falling to the ice. Fedoruk allows him to get back up and throws a right. They spin around and Thornton gets in a right while they are falling to the ice.

Shawn Thornton vs Todd Fedoruk

The Stars score to make the game 2 to 0, and these two go at the next faceoff. They square off for a little bit, and eventually grab on. Fedoruk startsof with a big right that misses, then gets switches to his left. Fedoruk throws a flurry of solid lefts, also knocking Thornton's helmet off. Thornton then rips Fedoruk's helmet off, and the two combatants exchange rights. Thornton throws a couple more rights, falling to his knees, but gets back up before the linesmen could intervene. Fedoruk throws two more lefts, while Thornton throws a couple rights, sending Fedoruk two the ice, and the linesmen step in.

Very close fight...they each landed 3-4 legitimate shots. As Thornton takes Fedoruk to the ice he gets in a pretty good left as the fight ends. Very slight edge to Thornton. Kudos to Fedoruk for getting back at it...you'd think after the Colton Orr KO he'd have thrown in the towel and called it a career...that's some serious desire to play the game!!

of course fedoruk has to grapple
because he doesn't want his face to fall off
so he did wewll
i think he got the better of Thorton
however still very close

Close one to decided but I gave it a draw, good to see Fedoruk is ok after getting destroyed by Boogaard and Orr last year. You gotta admire his courage. I just hope he doesn't get killed.

nice to see fridge back on the saddle...while being the brunt of many jokes last season you can't take away the fact that he is the classiest brawler in the league...he had thornton down several times but never took a shot until he got back on his feet

Not a great bout.
You can to expect to better when these two go at it.
They mostly hugged, until Thornton opened up bit.
Fridge landed first of his owns, but not much damage(gets the helmet off of Thornton).
Thornton landed a good one to the neck of Fridge.
Fridge replied immediately with solid one, but that comes more shortly to the mark.
A second or two and again Thornton opened up on his two punches.
He landed his first.
He went then down, but not advantage by Fridge.
He wanted maybe to Thornton getting up and he did it.
Fridge then threw one, that lands to the side of Thornron's head.
Then Thornton pushed little to Fridge so he lost his balance.
Thornton threw one, that may have lands.
A draw.

Not a bad scrap between these two, Fedoruk still will get the crap knocked out of him a lot this year.

Okay fight. I'm surprised that Fedoruk found a spot on an NHL squad after what happened last season. Is Kris Barch still around??

Both landed some clean ones and some weak ones. Entertaining none-the-less but it comes up as a Draw in the end.

DRAW. I would have liked for Thornton to get a little seperation and really get in a real good whoopin for his first fight with the B's. Hopefully lots more to come from him.

Thornton takes it... the Fridge hasn't been the same fighter and you can see he's going with the bear-hug tactic. Pretty good back-and-forth though.
