Barch might have done a little better in this bout than he did against Thornton but again: name me the last fight this dude has cleanly won. Carkner landed at least 10 shots until he started to tire and Barch made a mini comeback. Carkner is still a tough dude and a top five guy while Barch is barely holding onto a roster spot. Win for Carkner and a 7. Hope the devils upgrade at the position

This was a pretty good battle. I think Carkner started off good but Barch was stronger late in the going but I don't think his finish was quite as good as Carkner's beginning. I give Carkner a narrow win here.

Looked like CARKNER didnt want to be bothered .did enough to win,but heart wasnt in it .BARCH landed one little tap in the end .took a bunch of light punches early.again with the DEVIL feed .please if you have a choice dont use the DEVIL'S feed .

Carkner dominated early but ran out of steam, while Barch stayed active and earned the draw.

I feel with the game close ( 2nd period, 0-0 score ), Carkner should have skated away from Barch and draw a powerplay for his team.

As for the fight, Carkner dominated early. Barch made a come back (after Carkner called the linesmen in ) but not enough. Win Carkner.

Slight edge to Carkner although Barch came back at the end.

Barch passes on the winger's offer to dance
(couldn't see who it was on my "way too small" i-phone screen)
and makes a B-line for Carkner

The latter quickly obliges
and immediately establishes a superior grip
allowing him to effectively pick his spots

Cleverly
or perhaps not
Barch switches tactics
and decides to go for the
(about 30% of success rate)
Langdon-Janssen "weather the storm" routine

Hard to call it a successful strategy in this one
but he was did manage to land
at least two significant shots in the fight
(middle and end)
but even those were only in the midst
of Carkner's seemingly endless barrage

Sidebar:
Was that Chico
meekly attempting
and ultimately failing
to pluralize the "word" linesman?

"""linesmens"" ?????
That's gold Jerry!

Carnker wins a fight between two guys that lose more fights than they win.

Good stamina for Barch, but not enough to overcome Carkner's early lead.

Very close bout, but even though Barch came back late and showed great stamina, he ate too many at the start... Impressive showing from both guys...

whoever designed those isles jerseys deserves to get beaten up. Carkner won.

Barch should have gotten a minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting, a ten-minute misconduct and a game misconduct penalty since he dropped the gloves when Carkner was still going to play the puck
