OK...Orr won that one but a 7 + rating?...come on. Must be Leaf fans voting. Do I hear that the parade route is getting prepared. Funny... the Ruutu vs Mitchell fight has a lower rating and way more punches thrown.

Posted by zonahockeyfan on November 18, 2009 at 12:57 AM

Carkner was at the end of a shift, landed one good punch, Orr landed a bomb that dropped him but then kept throwing which was kind a douchey, good fight for Orr, bad fight for Carkner. Gotta give it to Carkner though the guy will go anyone and still plays 20 minutes a game.

Posted by mcb789 on November 17, 2009 at 09:32 PM

carkner with the clear cut win over orr in this fight. carkner connected with alot of punches to orr face. orr did not land not one punch.

Gotta laugh at the too many leaf supporters; compare the stats of this fight vs the Neil kicks Schenns butt stats; more McMaplelaugh deluded (luded?) fans thought the Schenn won the Neil fight than Carkner won the Orr fight. Shows the drugs McMaplelaugh fans (where are they in the standings, anyway - my newspaper is only 3 feet long); Scheen tried to have sex with Neil; Neil wasn't interested and gave him several good shots; Scheen didn't get in one; conversely, Carkner cracked Orr several times (so did Orr); so how can McMaplelaugh supporters say that Scheen won the Neil fight - yeah I know, drugs, most probably anti-depression drugs (yeah, that standings thing again - don't you people hate being the 2nd best team in Ontario?), so since there are so many dishonest people voting, I had to even the stats out, so I give the decision in the fight to Carkner. And one last thing - watch the replay of the Neil Scheen fight - when Scheen went down, Neil stopped; I wouldn't have blamed Neil one tiny bit if he continued to beat Scheen into unconsciousness, carried out on a stretcher - after watching Orr swing away at Carkner laying on the ice - nice class Orr - your a punk like the rest of your loser team

Toronto fans need SOMETHING to be proud of. I'll throw them a bone and give Orr the win.

Dispointing showing by Carkner... Orr easily defends his Belt!

Carts took a few hard ones no doubt. Got to give him credit he jumped up and wanted more...maybe a bad idea! Bad strategy to fight the bigger Orr like that. Next time get close and go south paw like you did with Brash. Its ok that is 1 out of 4 and another loss for the Laffs. A moment of silence for Laffs2006.

Posted by Mackyboy on November 18, 2009 at 12:36 PM

Clear win by ORR in this one.

Posted by ahartnack on November 18, 2009 at 07:25 PM

Look at Orr's resume, Laraque, Goddard, Brashear etc. This guy is getting scary as much when he was with the Rangers. Nasty.

Posted by jnc_927 on November 18, 2009 at 11:37 PM

ouch.. beware of BOMBS.. why let this guy get off w/ his right hand?

Posted by Joe WestCoast on November 18, 2009 at 05:13 PM

Orr is the clear winner. Too bad the Leafs are a joke of a team! Way to go Brian Burke.

Posted by The Peach on November 19, 2009 at 10:24 PM

orr is a beast right now. i have always been a fan of orr's game. but...seriously, look at the dude's arms. those are the arms of a 12 year old. they belong on a 5 foot 3 inch man. orr can't let this get to his head and do something stupid like take on a boogard monster, who would lock him out with the right and rearrange his cranium with the left while orr landed nothing but three feet of air between them.

Posted by cluffy on November 19, 2009 at 12:18 AM

Posted by sirensong on November 18, 2009 at 01:29 AM

How in the world did any Sens homer score this a draw never mind a win for Carkner? Orr laying a serious beat down on Carkner.

orr with the big W,wish he could of got that puke ruttu to go,but ruttu skated away, waiting for a smaller non fighter.

Posted by Dave Brown HOF on November 18, 2009 at 05:49 PM

KD for Orr. He's one tough prick. I'm glad that Carkner is going with some heavyweights. Maybe his spot picking rep will die down a bit now.

Posted by PFLY64 on November 18, 2009 at 08:40 AM

Give it to Orr but wonder how it is that Orr doesnt throw the helmet and talk after Brash beats his ass

Posted by crono61 on November 18, 2009 at 01:35 AM

first loss of the season for carkner. props to him for getting up quick and trying to go again later in the game. bad showing on his part...solid punches by orr...should have let off when carkner went down though. win orr.

Posted by TeethR4Losers on November 17, 2009 at 11:34 PM

Posted by sfm84 on November 25, 2009 at 08:15 PM

orr with the tko

Posted by The Mob on November 18, 2009 at 06:13 PM

Orr with the win. Carkner was surprisingly poor in this fight but we haven't seen him up against many heavyweights yet. I expected more from him but he may have been at the end of a shift. There would have been a rematch in this game if the score was not so close. Orr can put an end to a fight in a hurry. Cam Janssen is due for a similar beat down so I'll be looking forward to an Orr / Janssen altercation !!

Posted by NotoriousT on November 18, 2009 at 08:46 PM

Orr with the easy win here. He gives Carkner a good right that seemed to stiffen him up. Possible TKO good showing once again by Orr

Posted by tyrone on November 19, 2009 at 11:55 PM

If Orr was a bit bigger, NOBODY could beat him. As it is, he is a top 5. Big domination. And Orr can take a punch too!

Carkner destroyed by Orr. TKO win for Orr.

Posted by BattleAxe13 on November 18, 2009 at 09:31 AM

Orr is my early favorite for heavyweight champ this year, but it's still early. He over powered the larger Carkner here with some solid punches. I'd say Orr's punch power is second only to Godard. Easy TKO for Orr.

Posted by capsfloors on November 18, 2009 at 08:19 AM

Agree with alot of the people on here that Orr is heating up and he has been one of the best for thar last few years. Also, wish that Glen Sather would have resigned him this last off season. Easy win here for Colton.

Posted by redwhiteblue on November 18, 2009 at 04:52 AM

Nobody has done more damage over the last 4 or 5 years than this man. He's got a sledgehammer for a right hand.

Posted by mpagano22 on November 18, 2009 at 02:28 PM

Who voted for Carkner? That was the definition of beat down. Orr no contest.

Posted by nycbob on November 19, 2009 at 08:38 AM

Hey leafs can we have orr back, we'll give you huggy brashear and some cash! Rangers miss him

Posted by tus253 on November 18, 2009 at 08:01 PM

good thing the Rangers saved 250k and signed Donald "the Healthy Scratch" Brashear

Posted by staceyb on November 18, 2009 at 06:10 PM

Carkner went down like a sack of potatoes. And to think this is same guy who gave Ian Laperriere the black eye of the century just a few days before. Orr is a monster.

Posted by tonydomi1 on November 21, 2009 at 01:20 PM

TKO Orr! What a beatdown! Orr is the heavyweight champ now until he gets dethroned... Him and Godard throw the best bombs in the league. Take notes Big G and Huggy!

Posted by woodape on November 21, 2009 at 11:01 AM

TKO Orr. Orr found Carkner's chin several times.

Posted by adambomb13 on November 18, 2009 at 09:48 AM

Posted by brymaster1 on November 18, 2009 at 10:51 AM

this is the real carkner

Posted by dmac1983 on November 18, 2009 at 09:05 AM

TKO. Carkner was out on his feet for a split second. It kind of looked like the first good punch knocked him out, then the next couple knocked him back into consciousness. I don't know if that's possible, but that's what it looked like. My face hurts watching that video.

Posted by EdNo on November 18, 2009 at 03:51 PM

Shout-out to mcb789: lemme guess, you gutless retard, if Orr was still a bruin and this same fight occured, you wudda said Carkner won! Dude, why dontcha crawl upstairs from your mom's baement and chew on her bunions for awhile and make her happy....

Posted by Renslips on November 18, 2009 at 10:09 PM

Orr with the easy win, the only thing I didn't like was once that Carkner is on his way down, let the guy fall...this ain't MMA to keep punching while he's dazed sitting on the ice - follow the code of honor. You won, skate to the box, shut your mouth.

Posted by playmkr278 on November 18, 2009 at 12:24 AM

You don't normally get to see a knocked out on his feet type of a fight but this was one of those. I think Orr would have been more gentlemanly to stop punching as Carkner was almost down to the ice. That was bad form but other than that complete domination by Orr.

Posted by cppalermo on December 14, 2009 at 06:05 PM

My god someone stop the fight! DOMINATION!

Posted by Fightfan2010 on November 18, 2009 at 07:46 AM

Posted by briggsy on November 18, 2009 at 06:20 PM

Orr. Enough said. Not sure who would vote Carkner. What could you have been watching.

Posted by TormenT on November 18, 2009 at 08:00 AM

Argh hate it when the Blue Team gets a win....fortunately it isn't happening much this year ;). Domination by, he was feeding Carkner some heavies. Saw the knees buckle briefly. Funny Carkner didn't go back for round two...I would have thought he was would game for a second go. Good bout boys!

Posted by CanadianFlyer on November 18, 2009 at 11:02 AM

Serious beatdown! Colton Orr is the 2nd best fighter in the league. Since Burke took over, the Leafs are seriously trying to make a statement. This is Burke's trademark to a tee. If only they could score as often as they fight. BTW, the best fighter is Cam Janssen - check out their scraps. The Flyers have Arron Asham who's more than held his own vs. Janssen.

Posted by Mick17 on November 18, 2009 at 07:26 PM

Orr landing some punishing shots out of the gate, good win over Carkner.

Posted by tko2009 on November 18, 2009 at 04:35 PM

Good heavyweight fight between two tough guys. Both guys came out throwing bombs. No real damage from either player until Orr catches Carkner with a big one. These two will go again for sure. Look for Carkner to throw lefts next time. Win by Orr.

Posted by bigstove on November 18, 2009 at 06:57 PM

Posted by captainmook on April 30, 2013 at 05:59 AM

The fights Orr has had with Carkner have mostly been one sided, and this was total domination for Colton Orr. Seriously, who saw this as a win for Matt Carkner ??!? Whoever it is you should have your head examined ... Decisive victory for Orr.

Posted by Bruins29 on November 18, 2009 at 08:24 PM

Colton Orr is a bad man. He blasted Carkner with some solid rights to the dome. No contest...TKO Orr.

Posted by Ryan44 on November 18, 2009 at 06:53 AM

Orr is fighting absolutely the best season of his career!!

Posted by bostonrs555 on November 18, 2009 at 07:52 PM

Posted by leard3388 on November 18, 2009 at 11:59 AM

There are very few punchers in the league that can match Orr bomb for bomb. Orr fights the way it should be fought...I'll throw mine, you throw yours and let's see who is standing at the end.

Posted by Togalthorpe on November 18, 2009 at 03:21 AM

You got knocked the F$%# out. Win Orr

Posted by Clark75 on November 19, 2009 at 06:22 PM

TKO! Orr dominates again! This guy is unstoppable. He could take Laraque no problem right now. Laraque would be trying to wrestle him to the ground right away.

Posted by EDDUBBS on November 18, 2009 at 11:28 AM

Complete and utter domination by Colton Orr. Carkner not smiling after this beating....huh?

Posted by ripntearvinyl on November 18, 2009 at 01:44 PM

Carkner has to learn to keep his mouth shut, He let out around that Orr was avoiding him, Well Orr showed him different, see Orr shaking his head on his way to the box, Like " there that'll shut you up" Plus Orr could of just dropped him to the ice but he held on to him and let him down. Orr 100% Orr's a clean fighter, but don't be a idiot like MC and open your mouth otherwise you'll get a fat lip

Posted by phuckyouguys on November 18, 2009 at 09:08 PM

that might be the most brutal beatdown i've seen in a LONG LONG time good god ....Colton is the best fighter right now .... BGL has to step it up ...

Posted by spartan2001 on November 18, 2009 at 09:20 AM

AWESOME. Orr with the huge win. Now that's a fight. Reminds me of the 80's and 90's. None of this holding on and jabbiing with the same hand, leaning back as far as possible so that you don't catch one, and spinning around in circles waiting to land a good one. But most importantly no bear hugging like brashear does.

Posted by datafortress on November 18, 2009 at 02:43 AM

Wow did Carkner get drilled. He was still awake though after the zebras saved him. Don't know how he wasn't KO'd as those shots were money and he ate them. He looked bloodied up but no sure. Still Orr handled him.

Posted by mjb_17 on November 18, 2009 at 12:47 PM

Posted by dukeofearle on November 18, 2009 at 11:08 AM

Leafs Suck. Colton Orr, with the big right again! One bad dude! Have to give him his props. Leafs still suck. Lose the game 3-2 and the fighhts 3-1. Leafs2006 is a buttsniffing tard Leafie....Hahahaha

Pretty much a KO. Beatdown by Orr.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on November 18, 2009 at 09:23 AM

Orr put an end to this one, quickly,....stopped Carkner in his tracks.

So I agree with most of the site viewers here on everything but the quality of this fight... it was over before it really had a chance to begin how you gonna go any higher than a 5 on that? I think whoever picked Carkner was just trying to rile some people there is no way you can pick the guy who was dominated as the winner :)

Orr wins. being contrary is for morons.

Posted by azjim on November 19, 2009 at 04:17 AM

Whoops. Looked like Carkner forgot to duck. Orr shows dominance.

Posted by tim daddy on November 19, 2009 at 11:37 AM

i would have liked to see the begining of the fight, but nevertheless, it looks like orr finished it just fine.

Posted by claire alexande on November 18, 2009 at 11:48 AM

easy win for orr, whose IQ matches his number.

Posted by dirk lance on November 18, 2009 at 02:22 AM

orr smash. orr win.

Posted by balravens13 on November 17, 2009 at 08:44 PM

Well the fight started good untill Orr hit Carkner with three shots square to the face that dropped Carkner to the ice. I was shocked that even after the pounding Carkner was still running his yap. Orr looks to be back in top form.

Posted by remhead on November 18, 2009 at 06:53 AM

Perhaps Carkner should stick with the Bitz's of the NHL.

Posted by gmr133 on November 18, 2009 at 11:45 AM

Orr is the toughest guyin the NHL, period. Stuns Carkner, then proceeds to drive him into the ice like a hammer pounding a nail.

Posted by jcstokes on November 18, 2009 at 07:29 AM

Felt bad for Carkner - he got clobbered by Orr, who's been the best fighter over the past three years. Rangers miss him.

Posted by hockeyfan87 on November 18, 2009 at 12:39 AM

Orr is starting to heat up again, had a rough season start but he's on now. Another win to Orr, he's a beast.

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on November 18, 2009 at 07:55 AM

Beatdown by Orr.

That's what he is looking for.........He was neglected by his MA MA!!!!! mcb must stand for Mr CRACK BOY

Posted by Richterfan on November 18, 2009 at 05:16 PM

Orr destroys Carkner! My goodness what a beating. Orr is on a nice streak here in the fight department. Carkner is one very tough kid and it will be interesting to see how he responds to his next challenge.

Posted by oldtimehockey01 on November 19, 2009 at 09:08 AM

The Bruins ought to be ashamed for letting Orr go. Clear win for Orr

Posted by jringo on November 19, 2009 at 01:41 AM

whoever voted for Carkner is an idiot! Another great win for Orr.

You've gotta be kidding....One day soon people are gonna stop dropping the gloves with Orr. I would give Brashear back tomorrow and even throw in Rosival if I could get Orr back in Broadway Blue.

Posted by dogthedevilfan on November 18, 2009 at 07:44 PM

mark feb. 12th down on your calender! blues/leafs, orr/jansen, i can't wait!

Posted by PuckmaninMN on November 18, 2009 at 02:22 PM

"Three shots to the bugle" says it all. Orr was very impressive here.

Posted by TrueBlue26 on December 05, 2010 at 10:47 AM

Carkner did an excellent job of blocking punches from orr with his face

Posted by marinermoose38 on November 18, 2009 at 01:26 PM

I was expecting a lot more from Carkner as well.... HUGE TKO win for Colton Orr, the undisputed #2 heavy in the game today.

Posted by BigTot on December 21, 2009 at 11:24 AM

Orr with one of the most decisive wins of the year!!! Well done!

Posted by kitcarnut on November 18, 2009 at 01:28 PM

Orr grew up just down the street from me. Soooo glad i was nice to him. Can the kid chuck the knuckles or what?

Posted by Rex from MN on November 18, 2009 at 02:18 PM

I want Orr on my team. There are only a few guys in the league in his class, and they're all bigger. Who voted for Carkner? Welcome to the big time Matt!

Posted by Redheadchi on December 11, 2009 at 11:44 AM

One of the better fights I've seen in a while. Orr's the clear winner.
