Aside from that final shot by Carkner,
Lucic does more than enough to outpoint
a rusty, yet legitimate heavy.

El Props-o Grande!

Lucic early, Carkner late. A dee-raw.

Hopefully all the Lucic haters can back off as yes, this was a good opponent and he did very well. Have to call it a draw as Lucic was winning the fight, but Carkner recovered in the end.

Very slight edge Lucic -- his early speed seemed to surprise Carkner

For those who doubted Lucic, I think he just passed his board exam with flying colours...
He takes on one of the best and manages to out-point Carkner.
Props to Carkner as well for a modest come back but Lucic's start made the difference. I don't know how long Lucic was into his shift but he did show signs of getting tired towards the end (just nit picking).
Good fight boys !

Really good scrap. I give it a draw and a 7- Lucic early, Carkner late. Lucic's lid adjustment nearly cost him a few teeth.
And McQuaid should be $2500 poorer for the knee, but I doubt there will be a suspension- especially after Foligno essentially came to Darth Quaider's defense in his postgame comments. It's such a reactionary thing- the knee. I doubt there's malicious intent with 90% of the "leg stick-outs" that occur. You just react to prevent the other guy from getting by you. A dangerous play and a bad play for sure, but understandable- especially if you've played the game.

Thats a really good fight and Looch who I hate cause im a Toronto fan ....Gets the slight edge here. Carkner who is legit heavy tuff guy with way more experience got the jump on him...Looch seemed understandably causious but still threw away and holding his own with someone I class as top 5........He stepped up and showed well....Props to Looch!!! The big Goof lmao

Hey Gun Your in the show Lmao Being your my boss at work...I'll be really pissed if you jump over me on this thing and
IMO Looch has shyed away from Knock down drag outs with the Big boys and .....Well, basically your a bruin Homer roflma...Good showing but I want MORE!!!

Very close, very good fight, good exchange, no spinning and not a lot of defense. I'd almost give Carkner the tie for sneaking a nice shot in when Lucic adjusted his helmet, but I think Lucic still came out juuuuust slightly on top in this one. Very enjoyable go, 7.

First off, nice heavyweight bout! It's great to see guys that just stand there and trade em. No spinning or wrestling at all. FYI Laraque was a horrible fighter to watch fight from an entertainment standpoint. He pulled guys around and wrestled too much IMO. Strong, tough guy, but I prefer the Grimsons, Proberts and Kocurs. Stand and fire away! Very close fight. Looch had the heavier shots landed. Edge Looch. He did get winded at the end though. Carks is a tough dude too.

BTW. McQuaid will not get a suspension. He is not a repeat offender and this certainly wasn't intentional! No injury even occurred. He got his game misconduct in this game. No need for more.

Lucic decisions Carkner with better punches. Nobody can didmiss his choice of opponent here, Carkner is a legit heavy and Lucic didn't back down. Good fight here, gave it a 7.

nice back and forth, saw it live, loved it, love both these guys. Hardnosed players, not hired guns with 3-4 shifts per game. Both rusty, but looked pretty good.Lucic early, Carkner late, draw.
