Gotta love the junior style fights... wide f***in open!

Shaw gets creds for droppin the gloves, but really is he big enuff? feisty little guy...bring in Scott HA! would know Rinaldos block into the next area code..Mwahahahahaha!

Posted by yngblonde1 on January 07, 2012 at 12:39 PM

Rinaldo with the win..He only beats guys with 1 or fewer fights..When he fights a real fighter he lost every time..At least he can be the king of beating 1 or none fighters...

Posted by ResIpsaHoquitir on January 06, 2012 at 09:23 AM

I give credit to Shaw, the newcomer, for scoring and fighting at least with intention. You will see more of him, and it will turn out differently in the future. EDDUBBS must have forgotten about 6/9/10 and the souvenir that CBH took back to Chicago that night.

Rhino on this one.

Posted by mbaumann on January 05, 2012 at 09:35 PM

Flyers won, at least Shaw came back and score. Props to Shaw. He lost in a wild but bad fight.

Rookie move, Shaw. Hope to see you when you're older.

nice job done by Shaw!

Posted by jim_mckenzie33 on January 05, 2012 at 10:04 PM

Rinaldo won and played maybe 2 more shifts....Shaw played about 15 more shifts and got his first NHL goal in his first NHL game....Flyers won...but i'll take Shaw over this punk ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Is that Rinaldo's first win since junior?

Posted by mudman55 on January 06, 2012 at 07:54 AM

I give it to Rinaldo, but not by much. Shaw landed a couple of good ones too. He just got bloodied a bit, but decent scrap without much defense...

Posted by montrealSUCKS on January 08, 2012 at 09:09 AM

I wanna see rinaldo fight a heavy. I actually like Rinaldo, so far atleast, we'll see how it goes throughout the year.

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 17, 2016 at 01:33 PM

Winner Zac Rinaldo.

Posted by slshbleed on January 05, 2012 at 09:54 PM

Rinaldo wins, but it wasn't a boat race. There were only about 4 punches landed and Shaw landed two. Rinaldo's punch cut Shaw. Just because a guy gets cut doesn't mean its a loss. In this case it was. It wasn't a real beat down, however.

Posted by staceyb on January 05, 2012 at 08:54 PM

Zac the Ripper!

Posted by bruins rule on January 05, 2012 at 10:52 PM

zac gets the win in this fight.

Rinaldo win

Posted by fernben8 on January 06, 2012 at 09:47 AM

I like Rinaldo's very confident (I'm going to paddle your ass) approach/ skate towards Shaw.

Posted by sedinfan on January 05, 2012 at 10:27 PM

Short sweet win, Shaw looks about 5' 3", but he looks fiesty, I hope we see more of him.

Posted by kinga101 on January 05, 2012 at 09:54 PM

Seemed like there was some history behind this. They were swinging to knock each others block off. Rinaldo came the closest to doing it connecting with a pretty good shot.

Posted by TommyGun29 on January 06, 2012 at 09:58 AM

Rin- tin- tin caught him with the biggest shot when he was down. Gotta hand it to the little guy for hanging with him. Good spirited affair and rare win for Rinaldo.

Posted by Mark1967 on January 07, 2012 at 09:35 PM

Zac with more and better punches..... Nice effort by Shaw though.

Posted by BaustinBeatdown on January 06, 2012 at 06:31 PM

i like the kid gloves gone lose the helmet lets go rinaldo win but i can see this happening many times again with these two

Posted by zolofarm on January 06, 2012 at 09:58 AM

Rinaldo had edge. Shaw needs to stay on his feet or he will end up with more of his own blood on his jersery in future fights.

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 06, 2012 at 07:30 PM

Friggin' loved the ''let's get it on'' intro, as Rinaldo, not for lack of trying, finally earns an overdue victory, over a game, but diminuative, Shaw. . Scrambled, and messy...but highly entertaining.

Posted by DARCY T on January 06, 2012 at 03:09 AM

shaw's first fight in a first nhl game if im not mistaken...rinaldo cut him with his 1st or 2nd right.win rinaldo

Posted by brownie21 on January 06, 2012 at 11:00 AM

I despise homer announcers. A "beeline" towards Shaw? really Good scrap, edge to Rinaldo but this Shaw kid has offensive skills (Rinaldo does too) and I think he will be a player we see her a lot.

Posted by tpr1960 on January 07, 2012 at 09:41 AM

Good tilt, who voted for Shaw ? Dummies.

Posted by bruins34 on January 06, 2012 at 03:47 PM

Nice tilt. Rinaldo with a clear win, but it's made to look worse by the leaking cut Shaw he gave Shaw. If they are going to keep waiving/sitting/demoting the true heavies, maybe the minis are the near-term future of the fight game.

Posted by chrisuko on January 05, 2012 at 08:04 PM

Rinaldo had Shaw the whole time. Tagged him with a pretty good one, but overall it was a pretty scrappy fight, with Rinaldo doing the damage. The blood factor drove up the rating of the fight to a 7 for me with a win for Rinaldo

Posted by FrankLexy on January 05, 2012 at 09:40 PM

CLOSE fight both throwin with bad intentions Zac throwing a little faster, harder

Posted by GreatMurray on January 06, 2012 at 07:17 AM

Stopped due to loss of blood! Rinaldo puts a huge beat down on this kid. Adams skated a long way to get his azz whipped.

Posted by FightsOfHockey on January 05, 2012 at 08:02 PM

edge to Rinaldo

Posted by tomthescrew on January 06, 2012 at 03:43 AM

That is a hockey fight not that joke everyone was excited about between Jansen & Thorton

Posted by Willy WILL on January 07, 2012 at 04:30 PM

The 1st 3 shots landed right above the eye of Shaw and was good enough for the win. Clear win Rinaldo

Posted by TConn2 on January 05, 2012 at 07:35 PM

Rinaldo used Shaw's face as a punching bag. Shaw should take two weeks off and then quit fighting entirely.

Posted by tonetone1 on January 06, 2012 at 02:13 AM

boooooom

Posted by BloodyChiclets on January 06, 2012 at 11:12 AM

Clear win by Rinaldo. Case closed. If you voted for Shaw, take off your homer pants and watch it again.

Posted by Stevens Lindros on January 05, 2012 at 07:59 PM

Props to Shaw

Posted by Flyers20Fan on January 06, 2012 at 02:12 AM

clear win rinaldo in nice exciting fight rinaldos reaction at the very end of the video to talbot and the linesman cleaning up all the blood is priceless

Posted by concrete447 on January 05, 2012 at 10:17 PM

Be careful what you wish for, Shaw got SMOKED.Glad to see Rinaldo back in the line up. The soft team the flyers have been dressing of late is boring!!! I hope this keeps Zak fired up and in the line up.This a fight page right Shaw was on the scoreboard but he allowed Rinaldo to have his way with him and fire up the Flyers what he is supposed to do. Who cares if he scores maybe Giroux could fight then.......NOT

Posted by lennon29 on January 07, 2012 at 02:03 PM

i was at this game one of the best fights i have seen live

Posted by mandyyhaff on January 08, 2012 at 12:16 AM

DAMN. rinaldo can scrap.

Posted by ssully1618 on January 06, 2012 at 10:06 PM

when is somebody gonna pump rinaldos eyes shut and send him back to the minors. he thinks he is tough but hes not. time for a lesson. smiling in the box like he won the cup because he drew blood.

Posted by 777Big on January 06, 2012 at 09:36 PM

Rinaldo is an absolute minor league, weasle, punk. His fights suck as he never stays on his feet. Mini-me goon needs to go back to the AHL. Spent as much time in the penatly box as he did on the ice.

Posted by Bob N on January 06, 2012 at 07:20 PM

I think Rinaldo got him with his girly fingernails, How else would he have ripped the jersey? Good job by Shaw to hold his own, anyone else would have held him up like a punching bag

Posted by wykydtron23 on January 06, 2012 at 07:32 PM

Shaw landed more solid punches. Everyone says Rinaldo won because Shaw got cut, but Rinaldo looked sloopy. Win for Shaw.

Posted by BIG AL SECORD on January 06, 2012 at 12:20 AM

Great effort by the kid...what a debut!!! Fight, Goal..best player for Hawks tonight. He said after the game that he does not like saying NO when challenged...we all can appreciate that kind of player in the new NHL. Check out some of his fights on You tube.

Posted by briaro2050 on January 05, 2012 at 08:35 PM

Rinaldo with the nice beat down...Hahahahah

Posted by Snoka on January 05, 2012 at 10:21 PM

Rare win for Zac 'The Punching Bag' Rinaldo

Posted by Pops Ryan on January 07, 2012 at 09:48 PM

nice of Rinaldo to come completely across the ice to fight a much smaller player, who just happened to be in his 1st NHL game. typical Flyer. this is the same Rinaldo who got thumped by Prust AND DECLINED A REMATCH. Way to pick your spots, Zac. Philly is gonna love you. Who you gonna fight next, Daniel Aflredsson ?

Posted by 4daCanes on January 06, 2012 at 10:28 AM

Brief but intense. They gassed out too soon for coming off the draw.

Posted by dutchman on January 06, 2012 at 07:42 AM

Good job by shaw for his first time.

Posted by muskokadangler on January 05, 2012 at 07:44 PM

I will state this for those who are new Im a huge London knights fan and Rinaldo is an ex knight...He won the fight but it was no ass whoopin Tconn2 If thats what you call a punching bag!!!??? The one You use to work out with..... will Never be worn out!!!!!!! Rinaldo caught him with a shot that split the kid open ....Probably didnt even feel it and judgeing by what he was doing on way to his bench I am sure he didnt know how bad he was Leaking :)

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on January 06, 2012 at 01:43 AM

The two young guns go at it and Zac takes the Win, let's hope we see these two duke it out in years to come.

Posted by kkdowning on January 06, 2012 at 08:41 AM

Nice fight, with lots of energy and the decency to remove the helmets. Edge Rinaldo, Shaw got a few in too

Posted by chad420 on January 06, 2012 at 01:40 PM

Win Zac Morris....shaw leaking good

Posted by Frank Rizzo14 on January 05, 2012 at 10:13 PM

Gotta give Shaw alot of credit here. Rinaldo is a tough guy that has proven that he can throw em' and Shaw didn't hesitate. However, Rinaldo got the best of him here.

Posted by ccmathelete on January 05, 2012 at 07:45 PM

Not sure if taking a stick to the face from the Fliers 29 just before the fight contributed to Shaw getting cut. Love the Hawks, hate the Fliers, but Rinaldo won this fight, and I can't argue otherwise.

Posted by Langway on January 06, 2012 at 12:03 PM

Going after a 20 year old is pretty classy, Rinaldo. Typical Philly Phaggot move
