Benn gains some respect by landing a couple of big league blows

against an experienced fighter...

but then, loses so much more by...

A) not removing his helmet, despite having plenty of time to do so,

and, B) going all huggy-bear'' the minute he eventually lost his lid.

A classic draw. Ye gad, after Benn opened up Iggy with that right, you'd think "bout over." Nope, the captain hung in there and fought as though his life was on the line. That's leadership.

what a great fight!!!!!!!!!! If you ignore the blood, I think you got to call it a draw. I am going draws tonight for these great fights, just hate giving wins and losses when two guys go at like that. This one rivaled the earlier fight by Thornton and Boulton. Love or hate IGGY, there isn't many like him in the game, he has a bigger heart than the Islanders, Devils and Flames put together. Take this as a compliment Calgary fans, you won't get many from us Canucks. I wish you would trade him our way since your media was so hard on him for most of the year.

Great fight...
Iggy gets caught with his guard down and gets clocked.
Like a good champ, gathers himself and see's 'red' from that point on.
Props to Benn for connecting with one punch but not so hip afterwards...felt he bailed out and to what Behn Wilson mentioned-went defensively huggy bear.
Knowing Iggy's pride (not ego)...and the way Benn eased out ,we'll be seeing a round two !
Benn early, Iggy late...Draw.

I thought Iginla might have bit off a little bit much with Mental Benn. Iginla stood strong like a big tree. Mental Benn by a bloody eyelash.

i am not sure what fight most of the voters were watching? i have no dog in the race but from what i saw Benn landed a bomb early then Iginla really dominated late? i know he was leaking from the shot but i think he dished out way more than he took and if you guys watch it again Iginla stuns Benn with a great shot at the 44 second mark and then Benn hung on for deal life and didn't throw again

very very good bout

Those shots were HUGE.......Iggy took em and then .....Redemption by the Tuff SOB Vet!!!!!!

DRAW.......Ive been waiting 4 days to see this and it was worth every second

WOW. i will admit, right off the bat, iggy is my boy, and if i were biased to anyone, it would be him. but here is my take...

this is a hell of a scrap, benn gets the best shot in hands down, but iginla never backs down and keeps coming at him. benn lands a couple more and iggy keeps countering. i kept thinking the whole time watching it, its a good comeback but benn still takes it, until for about fifteen seconds iginla is throwing and benn is holding on telepathically wooing with the linesmen. i don't know if i would go so far as to say iginla won it, but he definitely evened it out enough to make it a draw. calling that an 8, though i'd like to call it a 9, i'll keep my excitement level down a little. great job by both in a long fight. i think the voting says it all, split in thirds.

Gotta go with a Draw here.

Props to Iggy for not giving up after getting tagged at the opening bell.

Benn failed to remove the lid though and loses points.

Iginla, being the great captain that he is, stands up for his teammate, and sheds the lid. Benn caught him early, but I think Iginla surprised him when he didn't seem fazed when he got cut, and he just went after him and overwhelmed him. Benn didn't want any after that, and Iginla came back to take the win. Great win in a great fight for one of the league's toughest captains.
