Well, at least Dallas has been winning the fights...
Never been much of a Benn fan but "Franky-ly" this scrap shows me that it's high time for a reevaluation Love the pre-fight stance of both guys and the fearless nature with which they went about settling their differences Sneaky-sleeper-southpaw Beauchemain doesn't lose often but on this occasion the Stars's captain more than earns his "C"
Beauchemin was lucky to have that visor on. Benn dominated that fight.
Touch me, and I'll kill ya.... Call me Francis, and I'll kill ya.... Clearly not in this instance... Good scrap, no defense, limited grappling. Edge to Benn-dover.
Benn feeds him with punches and leaves him bloody. Not even fair for Francois.
Slight edge to Benn. Good fight!
Listened to the end of this game on Sirius XM coming home tonight, home team feed from KLAX -- wasn't sure who was announcing, but it was apparent that when this scrap was evolving, they had basically written Jamie Benn's obituary as he went up against Frankie Beauchemin. Benn is a sleeper package as a player, an after that scrap last season with Jumbo Joe Thornton, i think this kids got loads of talent -- both as a player and a scrapper. Maybe they go again another time, but it will be so that Beauchemin can preserve his reputation after having his ass handed to him by Benn. Good scrap, win Benn.
local broadcasters said "I thought it would end badly for Benn".. He's a badass and wearing the "C". Do these guys not do their homework or are they just stupid? Maybe they could take a moment to look at his fight card and maybe check out his fights against Iginla. ISUSigTau921...you're an idiot and probably a Duck homer. Fight was dominated by Benn and Beauchemin was left bloody but yeah, your right...it was a clear draw. Moron.
Benn wears the C and sets an example for his team in the next contest.
Great fight, Beauchemin has always been a tough customer who doesn't fight much, but could always handle himself. Edge to Benn with a few more, but they both landed some great shots and it is nice to see a real fight once in a while.
One of the better fights i have seen this year with both combatants throwing caution to the wind. This damn helmet rule has to go as more guys getting hurt from the visor than anything else.Close fight and i give an edge to Benn!
Benn with the win
Great to see Been in action. Stars need to get a fire under their ass and win some games. Hope this helps. Benn clear winner.
Not much lands just a ton of punches wildly thrown gave it a 6
Good spirited scrap. A lefty-righty duel with Benn landing the cleaner punches.
Trying to spark the team in an impressive fight by Benn
Looked like Benn asked him to take off the helmets. No matter as Benn bloodied him with the visor. Good first fight with the C on the chest sticking up for a blindside hit a couple minutes earlier
Good fight. Felt like Benn did a bet better. Going to give a slight edge to Jamie Benn.
Benn's rights > Beauchemin's lefts.
Very good scrap here with Benn winning it. Frank did well rolling with the bigger and tougher Benn
Benn once again demonstrates that he's pretty good at turning the other guy's face into hamburger. Benn with the bloody win.
Great Fight.! Francois versus Jamie sounds like a cat fight in the girls locker room, this was anything but! Both these guys got after it hard! Jamie lands more and better...he wins!
Always great to see two great players in this league throwing them with such bad intentions. Great performance by these two showing no intention of quitting even after eating some on the chin. I felt the fight was a lot closer than the unanimous voting displayed but you gotta give Benn the edge. These are the fights the fans love to see, all offense and no defense, and some enforcers should take tips from these two.
Great scrap, clearly Benn got more licks in
Announcers acting like Jamie Benn doesn't know how to fight or hasn't fought before. Go look at his fight log. One of the most underrated fighters in the league, and in my top 10 for sure.
great showing by benn as a captain.his 1st fight with 'C' on his chest..win benn in an entertaining fight.beauchemin was throwing blindly and didnt connect with many
beeeeenn
Win benn
FB rarely fights but when he does he throws the hat - I guess Benn said No. Look back. If there is a winner it's an edge to Benn. Beauchemin is old school - respect.
Have to go with a draw here. both guyz did land in a furious bout... If an edge, Benn cause the frenchie wear a shield ;)
Great scrap. Two angry guys settling it like men. Not sure how this can be anything but a draw.
Meh. Stars fans chiming in . . . Both landed a few. Frenchie probably got cut by his visor. Beauch blasted a couple of Stars with some stud checks as the Ducks were handing the Stars their collective asses during their 5 unanswered goal run. Jamie Benn, the captain, was feeling emasculated so he was chipping at Beauch from the mid second period on. Jamie should expect to be blasted a couple times by Frankie the next time the Ducks blow the Stars off the ice.
Gave this fight to Bennema, he landed more solid blows and fed Beauchemin a thoroughly cleansing Douche!
The NHL has to let these guys shed their lids again...
Close fight benn with lucky punch gets the win
Good tilt, seemed a lot closer to me than folks are saying. Gotta love Beauchemin's wild left swing-for-the-fence uppercut to start it off! Good to see SouthPaw017 is well-versed in his 1980's Bill Murray movies!
save me,help me mr.ref my helmet came off...benn wins then grabs in a weak move..
W- Benn
Benn surprises, although Beauch is still maybe only 75% after his ACL, and was challenged a few minutes earlier in the game, and didn't look interested. regardless, edge Benn
Good scrap -- I had forgotten that Beauchemin prefers the left (although he does not fight much, he typically wins). Gviing the edge to Benn
Very good tilt, nothing but throwing here. Benn gets the win for landing more and better.
boring.
Best FIGHT of the young season....Benn asked the vet and he obliged...TERRIFIC ACTION BOUT...but Benn's shots caught a little more... Beauch REP'D as he usually does #RESPECT
what a great fight
Wow what a fight! I can't give the win to either guy here. Great showing by both guys
Benn landed a few more in a good scrap
Benn demonstrates how to bust a face under a visor!
win Ben Dover
the visor "saved" Beauchemin face from more destruction
I agree with ozman. Benner doesn't fight a lot, but when he does, he's big and he's tough. He's not only fought Iginla several times when he was with the Flames, but that draw against Jumbo Joe Thornton of the Sharks last year reminded me of some of Cam Neely's fights back when. Anyone who thinks Benn isn't tough doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. I hope they bring MacD back in on the 4th line since giving up our best heavy Gazdic for nothing to the Oil, who are reaping our benefits of developing him in the AHL. Also, if Big Rig (Oleskiak) gets called up soon (which he should), He and Dillon will be beasts on the back end.
Good fight... I agree with the announcer, didn't know Benn was that tough and handled a strong Beauchemin. Both threw equal amount of punches but Benn connected with 2 for the damage.
Beauchemin got the better shots in but looked worse off after because he cut his face on his visor. Benn was lucky it wasn't Beauchemin's greatest fight, he could have come out a lot worse.
ozman, you might be the stupidest person on this site...the majority of Beauchemin's blood came from his own hand after punching the visor...but as a Star homer I can understand why you are blinded by stupidity. Im a Chicago fan actually, not a fan of either of these teams really, just love to see the moronic posts left by people like you.
