homers that wasn't even a fight, how the hell can you vote for either guy, the blood was from the helmet rubbing against his face when rypen tried to kiss him

Posted by Sukoshi84 on February 10, 2010 at 01:20 PM

Horible fight and text book draw, yet somehow most of you ignorant [email protected] give rypien and edge ? how pathetic

Posted by kurri17 on February 09, 2010 at 11:41 PM

Extremely boring DRAW. Rypien seemed terrified of Konopka for whatever reason, and wouldn't stop hugging.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on February 09, 2010 at 11:33 PM

terrible fight.......awful draw.

Posted by drjones on February 10, 2010 at 12:07 AM

what the hell was that? this shit should be banned from this site. are these two trying for the Olympics in Vancouver for the tango and luv fest?

Posted by 99greatestever on February 10, 2010 at 09:18 PM

craptacular wrestling match....DRAW!!!

Hey Fukers!!!! There is a choice for "draw"!!! Learn it, use it, live it!!! This was a nothing fight with NO winner. Damn Homers

Posted by mr.alphabet on February 10, 2010 at 02:25 AM

what was this??? looked like the start of a wwe match when bother wrestlers engage one another, except this lasted for 3 minutes -- draw, both should have got 2 for delay of game

Posted by slavv on February 11, 2010 at 10:22 PM

I remember seeing this waltz on Dancing With The Stars...

Posted by UNDONTED on February 09, 2010 at 10:57 PM

I was there...wondering if it would ever end. Good game. Bad fight.

Posted by kronvallizer78 on February 10, 2010 at 02:02 AM

WTF was that? potential to be great but turned out to be a hugging and dancing on ice contest. rypien unusually hesitant in this one but konopka isn`t a slouch but that was a crap fight and embarrassment to both draw

Posted by RockintheRed on February 10, 2010 at 03:51 PM

psssst...Hey Zenon... -Yeah Rick? Listen the crowd and look at the refs....they think we're actually in a fight right now... -yeah! idiots!! LOL

Posted by gmann14 on February 11, 2010 at 12:01 PM

Crap fight they should buy each other flowers for valentines day after that hug fest ,looked like they were at a junior high dance. LEAFS SUCK!!!

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on February 10, 2010 at 09:59 PM

Draw he did barley any damage. Cuts dont hurt you, nose and jaw shots do. Konapka didnt do shit atleast ryp was trying.

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 10, 2010 at 11:32 PM

What started out with great potential, devolved into a ''too long in the huddle'' Sumo match. Dissappointed by King and Rypien in a short period of time... sigh...what's next? Voros beats Goddard?

decent DRAW, both landed several decent punches

Posted by crosscheck52 on February 10, 2010 at 09:10 AM

Neither one with an edge.

Posted by Rypien-37 on February 10, 2010 at 01:46 PM

Crap fight, lots of holding the video feed on this site was terrible had to go watch another much better feed at Youtube, Konopka I think was just holding on for dear life because all I can think of is he knows Rypien's reputation is as a fast agile fighter, Rypien wins because he lands more blows and wanted to get into the fight where as Konopka wanted to do some ball room dancing instead and came up being chicken.

Posted by EastKing on February 10, 2010 at 01:11 AM

Rip won, but this fight was mostly a wrestling match.

Posted by Tiny SWO on February 10, 2010 at 07:45 AM

Very slight edge to Rypien. Like most others, I expected more out of these two.

Posted by fernben8 on February 10, 2010 at 04:30 PM

That's not a hockey fight..it's a boxing 'clinch' clinic at it's finest ! Slight edge to Rypien for the body blows. Gave it a 3.

Posted by langdon20 on February 10, 2010 at 08:41 AM

edge ryp in a snoozefest

Posted by Westcoast_Goon on February 10, 2010 at 07:07 PM

Edge Rypien

Posted by dorobo on February 10, 2010 at 11:21 AM

Kenopka was holding on for his dear life, that's why nothing could happen. He was locking both Rypien's arms.

Posted by sirensong on February 10, 2010 at 12:01 AM

In the 1 flurry Ryp got the better of the exchange and bloodied Z up a bit. Rest was a draw so edge Ryp.

Posted by billy jack on February 11, 2010 at 02:33 PM

doesn't look like konopka wanted to go all out against ripper ,but he grinded his helmet into rypiens face so ripper did the same back, win ripper because konopka didn't really want to go.The clown who called tootoo an Indian i hope you eat your teeth you racist bastard.at least ban that piece of garbage.

Posted by jackmcc100 on February 10, 2010 at 11:53 AM

Not one of Rypien's better fights, but he continues to be the most entertaining fighter of the year.

Posted by bostonrs555 on February 10, 2010 at 08:40 AM

R squared gets the edge over Zenith...

Posted by tyrone on February 10, 2010 at 12:34 AM

Rip van Winkle with the win in this less than exciting fight. Z-man did not want him to get going with the lefts. Best middeweight in the league hands down, or should I say gloves off. I wanna see him beat the pi$$ out of that Indian PooPoo.

Posted by Frankie jr on February 10, 2010 at 10:38 AM

Rick Rypien all the way he is a good fighter.

Posted by bruiser11 on February 10, 2010 at 05:51 PM

Rypien won the fight

Posted by SABREHATRED on February 10, 2010 at 12:50 AM

Rypien get's the nod in a buffalo pantie fight.....

Posted by metz87 on February 10, 2010 at 03:08 PM

the fight that never ends or even begins. after I while i got tired wtaching these two guys try to fight. Win for Rypien. hows that the length of a fight has liite to do with how good it is.

Posted by Clark75 on February 11, 2010 at 07:00 PM

Good tilt. Ripper with the win.

Posted by Zenmac4 on February 10, 2010 at 11:10 AM

To the guy who said Rypien was terrified of Kenopka you are delirious. Both guys had a grab on each other and hard to get going that way. Rypien lands more shots for the win. To the guy who is racist and calls Jordan Tootoo the "indian", wake up loser! Next you'll be calling every non white in the league degrading names.

Posted by bruins rule on February 09, 2010 at 11:11 PM

rypien with the edge in this fight.

Posted by Mayor Quimby on February 09, 2010 at 11:27 PM

Unusual Rypien fight as he stayed close instead of throwing the bombs. He must have scouted Konopka and saw something that he was a bit worried about. He still got in a lot more punches and Konopka did have a cut above his right eye.

Posted by omorales on February 09, 2010 at 11:17 PM

Rypien W

Posted by BsFAn4LIF on February 10, 2010 at 01:11 PM

edge rypien, probably one of the best fighters out there right now

Posted by runky on February 09, 2010 at 11:49 PM

Ripper with the bigger, heavier shots and the most damage. Too much wrestling for a typical Ripper fight so I don't score it high but a win nonetheless.

Posted by jmackisback on February 10, 2010 at 12:42 AM

Konopka holds on for dear life!

Posted by sedinfan on February 11, 2010 at 12:02 AM

Another brutal fight by my Canucks, longest hugest in history by both players. I love Rypien, but how 55% could give that to him is beyond me, that was a brutal, hugging draw.

Posted by drahcir61 on February 11, 2010 at 04:16 PM

Lame ... the refs should have given them 2 minute minors for DELAY OF GAME.

Posted by piney on February 10, 2010 at 07:52 AM

longest hockey hug on record

Posted by Oil Can Henry on February 10, 2010 at 02:42 AM

Another Zenon Konopka hug-fest -- all he ever does is grab n' hold. 20 + fights this season and I haven't seen him throw a punch yet.

Posted by jcstokes on February 12, 2010 at 02:34 PM

Konopka is as boring as it gets. He fights a ton - never anything above a 4/5 rating. Don't know why I waste my time watching his fights. painful to watch in slo-mo. Looks like a draw.

Posted by Bensonator27 on February 10, 2010 at 12:15 AM

Rypien got the only clean shots in, plus points for blood.

Posted by tomales2 on February 11, 2010 at 08:22 AM

"....bigger, heavier shots..." Huh? Disappointing fight from these two. Rypien gets the nod I suppose, but he didn't have to do much in order to do so.

Posted by Keredz on February 09, 2010 at 10:45 PM

Rypien with the win, got in the only decent shots. Konopka seemed to have a game plan to tie up Rypien and stay away from his left.

Posted by nickfotiu on February 09, 2010 at 10:59 PM

bizzare middleweight scrap with the edge to Cal Rypien

win Ripper..landing some tight uppercuts& straits ...making Z leak

Posted by 36Henry on February 09, 2010 at 10:55 PM

Rypien squeezed the life out of that #28 jersey. Tough day to be a fabric in the NHL.
