Dustin Penner got what was coming to him. That hit was crap, and Bieska took exception and beat him down. This game had 104 penalty minutes handed out... I was there and it was crazy filled with fights. Oh, a pretty good hockey game was played too...

Good to see Bieksa stand up for his teammate

Bieksa is the tufeset for his size.Penner is way bigger and he would get rocked anytime he fought.Bieksa has not even come close in losing a fight in the NHL.........Ducks wont go far .to many goons mean 2 many penaltys

In the NHL this season, I should've written. In any case, not evenly matched.

Bieksa trying keep up his team mate Santala

Obvious a win for Bieksa cause he jumped Penner, and he deserved it too. But Penner never had much of a chance to fight back, so i think a lot of you guys are overdoing it a little bit. if this were a more fair fight it would have been a lot closer.

I'm pretty sure Penner knew Bieksa was there after he charged across the ice to hit him, then instigated by dropping his gloves. Obviously Penner would be afraid of Bieksa, he's even afraid of Matt Cooke, therefore he needed his ass kicked but wasn't willing. Too bad. Good choice Kevin, no more misconducts though just ass kickings!

i´m honest. that was a bad fight dominated by bieksa! penner should be glad that the referee was there to end this.

Penner got what he deserved.

Penner turtled? CLEAR WIN Bieksa

Posted by wallysy1 on March 12, 2007 at 11:19 PM

penner gets what he deserves and bieksa lays off after the domination. mikebflorida--sorry but u r a dope there is no analogy whatsoever here with simon and hollweg. in case you cant read--simon is suspended for using a stick. read colin campbells distinction. did anyone use a stick as a weapon here? no> either learn hockey or learn what the word hypocrite means.

Penner slams Santala into the boards hard.Bieksa goes after him right away. The camera gets there kind of late and Bieksa has Penner down and lands a couple shots.Penner gets up, but the linesman is in the middle

goducksgo ur just a homer the only reason u think that bieksa is a joke is becuz penner is on the ducks u shood shut the fuck up

"Dustin Penner gives him a little push." It's called boarding. It's a rule. Another rule is instigating. Bieksa gets one for sticking up for his team mate. Too bad the video doesn't show the fight. Penner ends up with his sweater over his head and Bieksa lets up so Penner doesn't get hurt. Too bad Penner didn't think about that when he gave Santala '...a little push.' Bieksa is still undefeated.

Mikeb, you must be a Rangers fan, how else could you be so blinded. Hollweg approached Simon from behind, but the hit was shoulder to shoulder, secondly Simon did not "bunt" him in the chin, he took a 2 handed home run swing, finally, this is not the first time Simon has done this, he has 5 previous suspensions, 1 of which was also a cross check to the face of a defensless opponent. Bieksa got an instigator for defending his team mate from a cheap shot artist, if the league needs to suspend anyone it's Penner.

hahahaha penner can't fight!!!

Posted by bronx1981 on March 12, 2007 at 05:36 PM

Where was it?

Posted by Stay Gold on March 12, 2007 at 08:28 PM

It would of been a different fight if they both were ready for it and he dint get some cheap shots in on penner, Bieska is lucky Parros was not playing that game or else he would of had it coming

Posted by mikebflorida on March 12, 2007 at 09:19 AM

Ok so let me see if I have this right, Penner boards a guy from behind just like Hollweg which has the possibility of breaking a face or a neck. Bieksa retaliates with fists flying. Simon retaliates with a bunt to the chin which LOOKED a lot worse than it was so does Bieksa rate a suspension also for retaliation? Focking NHL is a bunch of hypocrite idiots and so is the media.

Posted by Tony Esposito on March 12, 2007 at 11:46 AM

I'm getting tired of guys acting like they have a broken neck ever time they get pushed into the boards. Get up and fight someone if you don't like it!

Posted by Ruben on March 12, 2007 at 03:32 PM

If you really want to fights, you don't just surprisingly jump the other guy, if Penner saw Bieksa coming, it might have been a different fight!!!!!!!

Posted by goducksgo on March 12, 2007 at 11:05 AM

Dustin Penner just pushed the guy...If he can't stay on his feet thats his own problem. Bieksa is not tough for jumping Penner...He's a joke
