All Johnston in this one. This kid seems like he is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Thats what a favor looks like!! Ross the Boss shouldnt oblige there. Isles with a 2-0 lead...why give up momentum potentially.

1st game up in a year and slapped silly

Man, we need to see more of Johnston. He's not a bad player either, just needs to get some time on the ice and we'll see what he can be doing points wise. Last year he was fun to watch and pretty good honestly. Not top 6 good, but bottom 6 definitely . What a force on the ice too.

Johnston continues to establish himself as the newbies worst nightmare... as Carrick heads to the box with Wensink’s hair issues and a light version of Rob Ray’s post Tony Twist face

I’ll give Carrick credit for getting back up by he lost

Johnston let Carrick off easy,, big guy and not many big guys left in the league that can fight so he can run things the way he wants.

Brave man Carrick taking on one of the top three fighters in the league. The outcome was too predictable. Johnson top three on my list of the bes in the league. Beat down like a drumstick on a skin. Top three fighters in the N.H.L. 1 Lucic 2 Reeves 3 Johnson The list could change when any of these guys would fight each other. Waiting for Reeves to get Brave enough to drop the mitts with Lucic!

If Carrick's intention was to give Johnston some left upper cut practice he succeeded quite niclely .. Lucky for him he stayed in close or he'd given the trainer more practice . Win Johnston

Ross’s Johnson clearly wins. Idk what mister Carrick is thinking but he kept his head down like the chick that was under my blanket earlier today. He need to pick a smaller fighter or work on his fighting skills before he get molly wop’d Son. Word as bond he took a doodle on Carrick head. Give the fight a 4

All Johnston .... Carrick had nothing going

Posted by GreatMurray on November 25, 2018 at 05:06 AM

Johnson goes beast mode on Carrick...had him leaking. Total ass whipping.

Johnston was born 10 years too late. Too bad for him, and for us, his skillset is needed less and less in the NHL. Unless he proves he can play, he'll be out of the league within 2 years.

Johnston continues his dominance by beating up the minor league seasoned but, NHL green'd Carrick. This fight wasn't even close and seemed like a total mismatch. Still waiting for that elite tier challenge but, with dominating wins over everybody he's faced including Tom Wilson and Cody McLeod... Lucic, Reaves or an AHL called up muscle seem like the only logical combatants.

Johnston is a beast. He has no trouble with Carrick in this scrap.

Posted by CG44 on November 26, 2018 at 12:34 AM

All Johnston, Carrick spend the whole fight trying not to fall as the stronger Johnston yanked him around

Posted by tacomania on November 24, 2018 at 10:20 PM

Johnston again almost gave carrick a hair cut to boot

Posted by BooSanta on November 24, 2018 at 08:41 PM

Johnston had that "you don't wanna start this" look in his face as he methodically peels Carrot apart with some good uppercuts after Carrot drops his noggin for the sacrificial clobbering. He comes away with only some ketchup on his snoot. Johnston is for real.

No wonder Wilson didn’t want to fight Johnston last year, this kid is a beast. I’m looking forward to seeing more of him. I gave this fight a 5 for Johnston, total domination

some guys you dont challenge .props for trying. mr. CARRICK learned the lesson.we have a person saying a true ISLANDER figgt going after a little guy.unless i missed it .CARRICK wanted the fight. JOHNSTON didnt want to waste his time. .

I thought the Islanders would really miss Martin. This guy fills the void with no trouble. Tough SOB

Posted by Rangeley_blkbea on November 28, 2018 at 09:38 AM

not really sure using your 55 pound advantage to bear hug a guy to the ground is really that convincing a win.

Posted by Humper on November 24, 2018 at 10:13 PM

I don't know what good thing Carrick was hoping to demonstrate here, but whatever it was, he didn't.

Posted by Ethereal on November 25, 2018 at 10:21 AM

Carrick picked the wrong guy to fight. Showed some guts though so thats a plus.

Posted by 29th_Candidate on November 24, 2018 at 09:07 PM

Carrick wants to prove his worth to the Hurricanes; Johnston graciously obliges him. Johnston is simply too much for Carrick. Props to both fighters. I'd like to see how Johnston does against better competition. Sadly, there's not that much out there anymore. Win - Johnston
