Sucks for Watson because as soon as he started to turn the fight around Stewart goes down. Stewart got a much better start on Watson and by the time Watson got settled it was over. W for Stewart

Decision to Stewart .... too bad he fell... Fight could have been a lot better had it been extended.

Respect to Watson for answering the bell when invited to do so. However, Stewart is one tough customer.

Stewart with the W, although, as someone, he may have lost his footing at a most opportune time. But it's funny that they were so eager to get at one another, then at the end they give each other the friendly pat, much the same way Flyers4Ever17 gives himself a congratulatory pat after one of his marathon sessions on the toilet.

i doesnt happen very often to see a fight straigth out of the penalty box these days...watson was all about defense but he managed to stay out of stewart's reach except that one right...edge stewart and 4

Chris Stewart with the edge in a short fight where Watson does not get going until the end of the bout.

I'm giving this a draw because of the pre-mature fall...

Watson,is a nice up and coming youngster, trying to make sure that he stays in Smasville. The Fight was lopsided in the beginning, with Stewart having his will with Watson, but then as Watson started to get his hand free, Stewart ost is balance and fell. I would have loved to see how it would have gone if Stewart did not fall. I sa it is a DRAW, due to the premature fall!

Sadly Stewart...

Not a bad scrap. Stewart got a few in then loses his lid and his balance at the same time.

Some definite swagger by Stewie here. Watson kid keeps on trucking. Win Stewie.

Where was this when Nyquist stabbed Spurgeon in the face?

Posted by mathot on February 19, 2017 at 02:51 PM

Just think, 6 more years and flyer 4ever might graduate from high school but I doubt it.

Can someone do up a gif of Stewart nonchalantly shedding stick and gloves on his way out of the box?

Posted by themike1w on February 19, 2017 at 12:45 PM

Stew's one of the best team guys in the league; will not abide dudes messing and a sorely needed and under-appreciated difference on the otherwise mild this year. (Ask that kid from Arizona who was lipping Koivu.) Don't what happened after the nyquist stabbing the other night, but who from wings is even a candidate to step up?

Easy W for Stewart. Watson's visor needs to wrap around to his ear.

Stewart with the clear decision

Big overhand right from Stewart. He's definitely on the medal stand for Top Three fighters in the league, in my opinion.

Stewart looked like a pro fighting a kid and it was! Stew ended it on his terms and fell backwards when Watson got his right loose. Old school guys would never do that because fight was not over because you were on the ice...Someone sing Glory Days for me!!

Easy win for Stewie. I expected better from Watson...don't know why.

Posted by Bosoxshute on February 19, 2017 at 02:15 PM

Draw. Too bad Stewart didn't crack his head on the ice when he fell

Posted by bigmike53 on February 19, 2017 at 06:42 PM

Stewie takes care of business to get the win.

Pretty sad when Austin Watson is a so called "up and comer". He is very fortunate Stewart fell. He'd still be in the hospital otherwise.
