Can we give an honorable mention to Raffl for getting up after being trucked? A beautiful sequence of events - great hit - solid fight (though low on actual revenge) - zero punches thrown when Voracek fell down. As an added bonus I forgot about - we hopefully never have to see sadsack coach Patty Roy behind the bench again. Great goalie - idiotic coach.

No avenging for Voracek - though none was called for - as he attacks and then is repelled decisively by Landeskog. Short but decent bout.

So that article about fighting being slightly up...remember when the league used to have big hits, and then the other team would just throw a big hit of there own? Win Swedish guy

A couple of talented Euros square off in this angry tilt after Landeskog hammered Raffl. Nice for Jakub to try and avenge his teammate but, this fight was all Gabby.

Decent fight with an edge to GL. He's come a long way since Lucic unmanned him a few years back. This was entertaining to watch bc they actually threw a few punches instead of wrestling.

Nice response from Voracek. He ultimately gets smacked to the ice by Landeskog who picks up the win.

Good scrap between two players not known for dropping the gloves.

spirited bout between these two. Avs "C" with the advantage.

Big, clean hit and clear decision for the L train.....

Kogger's bulldozing of Raffl and clock-cleaning of the piecemeal enforcer and top line guy Voracek should have fired his team up. Not sure why the avalanche caved after this fight. Don't knock Kogger's victim here because Voracek can throw'em when he sees a hit (however clean) he doesn't like, as he should. Notice Kogger's ability to switch back and forth to southpaw. Solid victory for Kogger. Hockey how it should be.

The Big Swede lays a big hit, wins a fight and draws a penalty. Now if he could put the puck in the net.

Good little fight with two guys that do not fight all that often.Call it for Landeskog!

Posted by boldbilly on December 15, 2016 at 06:04 AM

Landeskog with the clear victory all though this fight was close....good scrap for something you don't expect from these 2. The hit was a beauty and Voracek didn't exactly get the revenge he was seeking....scored this a surprising 6 and Landeskog the edge.

Clear win for Landeskog who had to answer for a perfectly clean, well-timed check.

That's the way you do it! Great hit. Even a better fight. Voracek is a tough customer but Landeskog pretty much tunes him up!

Hug fest with little good contact

Posted by FistofFury on December 16, 2016 at 12:32 AM

Lame how fights automatically happen after perfectly clean hits.

Posted by Jesticle on December 15, 2016 at 02:33 AM

Once the helmet popped off, the fight was pretty much over. Landeskog worked Voracek over behind the safety of his helmet and visor. He also controlled the fight while both were visored. Get rid of the helmet rule. For the love of hockey fights, make it fair.

Spirited scrap btwn two skill guys gets a 7 in my book. Win GL.

Awesome fight for two scorers. Well, alleged scorers, in Landeskog's case this year. Landy at least won the fight handily, and slammed the door shut on Voracek's attempt to police his badassery. What a hit! They both looked like real fighters here, but Landy landed a nice barrage to Voracek's face early, late, and in the middle.

Landeskog is great at picking fights ....WITH NON-FIGHTERS ! Voracek probably knew he did not have much of a chance ( he definitely is not a fighter ) .....BUT did the right thing anyway !.......It is like JOHN WAYNE said ..." courage is ..being scared to death .......BUT saddling up anyway " ....!!

Posted by spiderlakeDave on December 20, 2016 at 04:37 PM

Landeskog takes one early, but it seems to wake him up and other than 1 shot late, destroys Voracek. He knocks an off-balance Voracek to the ice, which saves him from more damage. Gabi is tough and shows a great variety of offence.

Totally unnecessary fight stemming from a clean hit. I like fights but don't care for ones that aren't necessary.

Posted by CindyCrybaby87 on December 15, 2016 at 11:17 PM

Good fight. Landeskog definitely got the better licks in, as much as I'd hate to admit it being a Flyers fan, especially after such a killer hit (though 100% clean), and even more so because it's Voracek! :( Go Sweden!

Posted by seldomseenjerin on December 25, 2016 at 01:18 PM

Pretty weak tilt. Not sure why it has a rating of 6.

Ten games in a row !!! What a streak, keep it up !! Oh yeah, Avs suck this year. Good day.

Posted by travist on December 28, 2016 at 03:18 PM

was landeskog at the end of his shift? those punches were in slow motion but great to see him dropping the mitts after a solid clean hit.

Posted by FHgrad99 on December 17, 2016 at 01:47 AM

It was a pretty close fight until Lakdeskog dropped Voracek with that last punch.

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on December 15, 2016 at 03:37 PM

This is why we love hockey right here! Great hit, but Voracek felt the need to step up so he did, the boys danced, it was pretty good and that was that. Would love to have either of these guys on my team any day of the week.

Posted by rgnomsayin on December 15, 2016 at 12:57 AM

spirited scrap between two very valuable players. Landeskog gets the clear decision as Voracek fails to get a solid grip and Landeskog capitalizes. 6 and kind of close

Clean hit, not sure why it sparked the fight but a good one to watch.

Posted by Jflah53 on December 15, 2016 at 01:27 AM

Not bad for two guys who don't usually do this… Always nice to watch a Flyer get hammered.. Too bad it wasn't Giroux getting his lumps… Now there is a guy who is WAY OVERDUE for a good beatdown …. Much like Marchand… A 5 & worth watching ….
