Deslauriers is still trying to find out what's wrong with his phone, because it keeps ringing, but no one is on the other end.

Posted by King of Goons on November 22, 2015 at 05:34 PM

Wow, what a slaughter. In the 2 fights I've seen from Oleksiak I haven't seen any other fighter in the entire league who I think could take him. Deslauriers is no cream puff, but he gets completely manhandled here. Dude better see a Neurologist ASAP. His head looked like one of the victims in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (They played in Dallas, ...get it? You see what I did there? Texas Chainsaw Mas... Aah, forget it). Total domination by the Green Giant.

I believe that this is the informational video that accompanies the explaination of the phrase "Hit him with so many rights... that he was begging for a left" Moustache aside... that was impressive

Posted by TheodoreRex on November 22, 2015 at 12:04 AM

Props to Deslauriers for not dying. He's either tough as nails or Oleksiak is weaker than he looks. Domination W for Olek

Posted by Aldous on November 22, 2015 at 01:45 PM

It's not often that I see someone get the back of their head busted open from a fight in a hockey game. Oleksiak dominates here, no doubt about it. Deslauriers hangs on for dear life and snags 5% of the homer votes.

Lets see.....Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch,Ouch......Frigging Ouch!!!!!! At least 11 Ouchies!!!!

Oleksiak-McGratton....would be nice

Posted by flyerguy on November 22, 2015 at 07:40 AM

Domination 101. Didnt rate it high because Deslauriers did his impression of Farnham and got used as a speedbag

Posted by Canner on November 22, 2015 at 01:43 PM

The human jackhammer poor Buff, need big John back

Posted by BigRo on November 26, 2015 at 07:47 PM

Ya know when the boys are imitating fights, and they exaggerate the punches? This was like that, but real. Bet Deslauriers will be seeing double for a week

Posted by DARCY T on November 29, 2015 at 05:56 AM

wow i didnt expect this.big rig is huge but he is not known for his fighting skills.on the other hand deslauriers always looks good no matter who he fights but he got very bad grip on oleksiak's jersey and he paid for it.i guess he will sleep on his right side for couple nights from now on...domination by oleksiak

Posted by mr hockey on November 22, 2015 at 10:44 AM

wow another ass whupping ,keep your gloves on Deslauries, nice win Oleksiak

Posted by Jellyczar on November 22, 2015 at 08:42 PM

it's hammer time....... total pounding. Quite the beat down. Obviously Rick Jeanneret voted on this...WTF

Posted by hkhk on November 22, 2015 at 01:18 AM

now thats an azz kicking

Posted by docada on November 22, 2015 at 01:11 AM

Oleksiak doesn't like to fight and rarely will start it, but he is very good at finishing it once he goes into beast mode. This is a pattern that goes back to AHL days.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on November 25, 2015 at 07:45 AM

Its no wonder Olesiak doesn't have a lot of fights. . .he doesn't have that many takers. Credit to Deslauiers for staying on his feet, . . .and alive (FYI, who ever made the Eakin comment, he fought Iginla)

By far one of the most dominant fights I've seen all year. I am impressed that Deslauriers never went down, but it may because he didn't remember how anymore after so many headshots!

Posted by rocky 1 on January 21, 2016 at 12:51 PM

Easy win for the Oleksiak guy !

Posted by Jack Rea on November 29, 2015 at 10:36 PM

Just a ok fight.

Posted by retired2006 on November 22, 2015 at 07:56 PM

Easy win pounding back of head, turning knuckles up to draw blood, he had purpose. As for Cody Eakin on the bench, I look forward to the day someone gets their hands on you, such a vagina. Too bad your not man enough to drop them.

Posted by Emar on November 24, 2015 at 08:11 PM

No contest. Stars been needing a heavyweight to patrol the blue line. Now need to get Johns up too, but they are so deep at D and Nill/Ruff like the skill players too much.

Posted by Daysofcoleco on November 22, 2015 at 08:09 PM

Any more and we'd have seen what Nico's brainstem looked like. Jamie "Brassknuckles" Oleksiak !

Posted by Kemby31 on December 13, 2016 at 09:40 PM

Oleksiak has a better stroke than his sister does.

Posted by The Peach on November 23, 2015 at 12:31 AM

Oleksiak looking like Dave Brown circa 1989! Punch that coconut just as hard as you can.

Posted by Gaijin1977 on November 22, 2015 at 02:48 AM

Guarding with your skull....nice

Posted by cjreplay on November 22, 2015 at 10:32 AM

This would be embarrassing for Deslauriers if he wasn't fighting a mammoth of a man. Wikepedia shortly mentioned that Deslauriers died Nov. 21 to punches from Oleksiak!

Posted by jbolack on November 23, 2015 at 12:29 AM

I have seen the fight from more than one angle. Deslauriers doesn't even land a hit. The ones at the end don't even make it to Jamie's shoulder. I can't see how anyone would say Deslauriers won the fight. Pity votes maybe? The vid from a different angle

Blood bath

Posted by Mounty in NC on November 24, 2015 at 12:19 AM

Oleksiak with the big win....Deslauriers wasn't able to get ahold of JO's sleeve and with that long reach, that was all she wrote. With Oleksiak being 6'7" and around 250lbs, I better see him fight some of the bigger guys and just pick on the smaller ones!!!

Posted by bones boy on November 22, 2015 at 04:54 AM

Big Rig strikes again.

Posted by ToughGuyWayne on November 22, 2015 at 04:44 AM

I want to see Oleksiak fight John Scott. I wish he would fight more, but not many will want to fight him after this.

Posted by FHgrad99 on November 27, 2015 at 12:07 AM

The good news for Deslauriers is that his clock is now spotless after Oleksiak cleaned it for him.

Posted by stoopid760 on November 25, 2015 at 09:35 AM

Kicked his ass!

Posted by therocketman93 on November 21, 2015 at 11:07 PM

If you think Deslauriers won this, you need your eyes checked or take off your Sabres glasses.

Posted by bobowen34 on December 31, 2015 at 09:35 AM

Wow. That was a beat down.

Posted by Spoonster on November 22, 2015 at 01:41 AM

Holy smokes... It's not often you see a guy leaking from the back side of his head. Dominating W for Oleksiak. Gotta love that Stars bench afterward!

Posted by Lumpy310 on November 26, 2015 at 02:04 PM

"A'll take care-uh you, ya little prick."

Posted by doobi1 on November 22, 2015 at 10:46 AM

Yikes!! Oleksiak started out with 10 consecutive, and landed punches to the Deslaurier coconut. Follwed that up with 6 more for a total domination WIN. Nicky boy will be on excedrin all week long after that beating.

Posted by MichaelFlyers37 on November 21, 2015 at 09:48 PM

I think we know who won. Guess good old Saint Nick isn't all that tough. He got the crap beat out of him

Posted by mannythegoat on January 21, 2016 at 05:50 PM

Nico was in a bit over his head here, got hurt early, never quite got his hands in position to do anything offensively or to protect himself, and got buried for it. Not close.

Posted by kdmaddog on November 28, 2015 at 09:48 AM

Funniest user reviews I've seen yet. You guys ought to be writers, that stuff's funnier than the crap on TV. Oh, the fight -- Beat. Down.

Posted by Rob Peterson on November 22, 2015 at 05:16 PM

In taking on a guy 6 inches taller and 45 pounds heavier than him, perhaps Deslauriers should have swung those huge balls of his to get an edge against a man who looked like he was trying to dig to China through his skull.

Posted by afihavok on November 24, 2015 at 03:55 PM

Complete domination from Oleksiak. That was an ass kicking.

Posted by jloeb on November 22, 2015 at 10:44 AM

That dudes head must be sore.

looks like deslauriers was shot in the head

Posted by halsell5 on November 24, 2015 at 09:17 AM

Oleksiak dominated, Deslauriers would have died if the refs wouldn't have jumped in.

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on November 21, 2015 at 11:01 PM

ass kicking

Posted by JLinkTX on November 21, 2015 at 11:37 PM

One of the most lopsided fights in memory.

Posted by cgoldman1 on November 22, 2015 at 03:02 PM

Good one! Cauliflower ear? LOL

Posted by SarahChance on November 24, 2015 at 12:20 PM

Always great to see Jamie "Big Rig" Oleksiak fight.

Posted by mr. puttzo on November 28, 2015 at 12:56 AM

This guy is a flicking monster. The new champ

Posted by English_Bruin on November 22, 2015 at 02:10 PM

Bit of a 1 sided beatdown there, not impressed to see how'hard' the Stars players think they looked after that.

Posted by Humper on November 21, 2015 at 10:20 PM

Don't know what Deslauriers was thinking before taking on Man Mountain Jamie. Pretty sure I know what he was thinking afterwards.

Posted by lucic17 on November 21, 2015 at 09:54 PM

Oleksiak pounds Deslauriers head hoping to crack it open and find a treat inside. Disappointing performance by Deslauriers-he just couldn't get on track. No decisive punches but the continual pounding had to hurt.

Posted by Oswegofightfan on November 22, 2015 at 11:39 AM

This could have been such a good fight if the refs didn't jump in when it was about to start. I guess a win for Oleksiak, by default I guess. And a 4 for the refs jumping in. A couple taps to the back of the head that didn't even hurt. Sick of the way refs have been jumping in every chance.

Posted by bigmike53 on November 22, 2015 at 05:08 PM

Deslauriers can't get a good grip from the very onset of this scrap and it cost him. Olesiak use his reach to hammer out the easy win over the Sabres tough middleweight.

Posted by EK65 on November 21, 2015 at 09:56 PM

Oleksiak gets the right hand going Wow, this guy with wins over Stewart & Deslauriers so far might be a pretty decent pugilist, plus he's huge Oleksiak & 7

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on November 23, 2015 at 01:45 PM

Posted by dean94harrison on November 22, 2015 at 12:32 AM

Wow. Every scouting report I'd read says the same thing, that despite Oleksiak's size he's soft. Not the case so far this year. Deslauriers is a tough son of a bitch, Oleksiak pounded him, had him leaking all over the place.

Posted by Massive Coiler on November 22, 2015 at 12:41 AM

Pretty rare you see that many punches get off in a row. Win for Oleksiak with that flurry of rights.

Posted by Great Murray on November 22, 2015 at 02:31 PM

Oleksiak earns a blood-letting TKO for the massive beat down he put on Deslauriers. Deslauriers was running every Dallas Star he could catch up with until he got schooled by a big, tough dude!

Posted by von_swine on November 22, 2015 at 03:12 AM

can u imagine what would've happened if Jamie O actually aimed for Nic's face? maybe that's the new 'sweet spot' that causes your opponent to just sit there and ABSORB punishment...repeatedly.. and someone please tell Darryl Reaugh to ease up on the Adderall...(yikes) #5 FTW

Posted by boldbilly on November 22, 2015 at 07:53 AM

Machine gun Oleksiak........this fight was a lot closer then everyone believes.... A lot closer to Deslauriers death...... Overheard in a bar later Delaurier was quoted as saying. .... " yeah you should see the other guys hand" What what speak up Yikes

Posted by holmz56 on November 23, 2015 at 09:27 PM

6'7" 250lbs vs. 6' 1" 212 give me a break Jamie ! Real Balsey for you Jamie ! I hope John Scott finds your tough ass !
