This is a case of quality vs. quantity. Stuart was throwing more but Deslauriers got him with a knee-buckler that gave him a chance to see if there were any burnt out bulbs on the ceiling of the arena.

Someone voted for Stuart? You don't get KO'd and win the fight lol.

Posted by ahoy hoy on January 13, 2015 at 02:09 PM

Nice fight where the stealthy Deslauriers comes back when he looks like he has lost balance and the fight to counter with some dazers. Stuart definitely saw stars at the end there. Deslauriers has to be getting a reputation as someone you don't mess with after some of his performances the last two years.

Posted by LGR33 on December 17, 2014 at 07:21 AM

Deslauriers clipped him there so I'm going with a tko

Posted by EK65 on December 16, 2014 at 11:52 PM

What a counter punch by Deslauriers! Looked like it was all Stuart but, TKO victory & 7 ND

Posted by Gbuck18 on December 17, 2014 at 02:30 PM

Deslauriers can throw.

Posted by U wanna go? on December 17, 2014 at 04:03 AM

Deslauriers with another impressive showing!! Love Ted Nolan coached teams, always have guys that will drop 'em & throw 'em & this years Sabres team is no different!!

Posted by doobi1 on December 17, 2014 at 08:49 AM

Man, that was a decent scrap. Stuart ahead for a time until Deslauriers caught him with two consecutive M80's and get the knockout. Win to Deslauriers, a nice find for Buffalo.

Posted by kmcdude on December 17, 2014 at 07:46 AM

Des can chuck em, Stuart is tough and had the edge in a close fight until Des threw that nasty combo to drop him. Good fight!

Posted by Jordybats99 on April 14, 2016 at 11:44 AM

Good fight. Edge Deslauriers.

Posted by pinney29 on December 16, 2014 at 11:04 PM

Stuarts looking up at the score bored dazed, and trying to figure out how he just got dropped. TKO win for Deslauriers

Posted by jnk07899 on December 19, 2014 at 01:15 AM

Great fight. I think Deslauriers had a little incentive once Stuart started throwing punches with Del's jersey over his face...

The eye shields are making fights unwatchable....someone tell Pete Rozelle to allow them to remove their pumkins

Posted by tazcat on December 17, 2014 at 06:21 PM

Gotta love Deslauriers .....he's one of the young "punks" in the league who's not well known but could kick some A$$..... Not the biggest guy either. Saw him on bench once taking jersey off for equipment adjustment and the dudes body is half tatted up.....lol

Posted by Attikdrum on December 19, 2014 at 09:47 AM

Deslauriers with the three lasts punches right in the chin.. Deslauriers with the win.

Posted by SirLancelot on December 22, 2014 at 09:22 AM

sabres look together right now too bad for the injuries.

Posted by The Manz on December 18, 2014 at 08:40 PM

Win Deslauriers. Speedy recovery Stuart. Nobody likes to see anyone get injured in a fight.

Posted by Mounty in NC on December 19, 2014 at 07:03 AM

Very close until the end...

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on December 20, 2014 at 01:55 AM

Stu looked like he was going to control this, but Deslauriers really handed him his A$$!

Posted by anthrojim on December 17, 2014 at 10:33 AM

Even match until Deslauriers caught Stuart with the right hook followed by the uppercut. TKO.

Posted by Amerkfan8 on December 17, 2014 at 12:05 AM

Stuart looked to have control of things, but ND landed a couple big blows to end it. Love the toughness the Sabres have shown this year. They don't win much but they are at least entertaining.

Posted by JorgeVorge on November 14, 2015 at 09:52 PM

Seems people think the take down at the end of the fight dictates the "winner." They went toe to toe Stuart landed more punches. Whifs and helmet shots and back-of-the-head shots mean zero!

What's with the 30 second ads before playing a video? Forget it.

Posted by chriswabs on December 17, 2014 at 12:55 PM

Down goes Stuart!!!!! Down goes Stuart!!!!! ND with the TKO

Posted by shawnrocks on December 17, 2014 at 12:36 AM

im a long time stuart fan. he didnt win this one. I think he took a nap. he used to throw them with the best

Posted by callum on December 18, 2014 at 11:12 AM

Sorry to hear Stuart was hurt. Deslaurier landed a good one right at the end. Happy to see the Jets stand up for each other

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on December 18, 2014 at 06:33 PM

tko

Posted by wallysy1 on December 17, 2014 at 12:17 AM

Gotta love "charlesme melvin" who scores a win for a guy who got knocked out --because before the knockout, he hit deslaurier more. I wonder how many Mike Tyson lost? I saw him once get hit 3 times before knocking the guy out-- so I guess Tyson lost as well? It was a one-two combination by the way that knocked stuart out. People worrying about visor, but stuart hitting him most while sweater over deslaurier head.

Posted by strokerace2224 on December 17, 2014 at 07:01 PM

staurt drops from an upper cut. winner deslauriers

Posted by dcmac on December 17, 2014 at 05:37 PM

Body shot ended it. Good scrap.

Nickknuckles!!!

Posted by glovedropper08 on December 16, 2014 at 10:53 PM

Wow.. Deslauriers drops Stuart at the end out of nowhere.. TKO Win Deslauriers.

Posted by kaboom29 on December 16, 2014 at 10:56 PM

Looked like a TKO to me.. Stuart got dropped, just when he thought he had taken control too..

Posted by Mayor on December 16, 2014 at 11:18 PM

Wow - Stuart was totally in control and then Deslauriers came out of nowhere. Stuart connected with more punches, but Deslauriers connected with the one that counted.

Posted by boldbilly on December 17, 2014 at 05:38 AM

Deslauriers wins this one it was a back and forth until Stuart got caught with two big ones ....not sure if the third one on the way down also connected. How does Stuart who is flat on his back with eyes closed for 3 seconds in what is obviously a TKO actually get some votes here.......someone thought he one on points......lol .....it boggles the mind

Posted by sedinfan on December 17, 2014 at 09:09 PM

Stuart starts well and looks like he may win, but quickly gets tuned in and knocked down. Great fight however.

Posted by petiepab1 on December 17, 2014 at 02:04 PM

Boom Boom OUT GOES THE LIGHTS! Anybody claiming a draw or a Stuart win should put the pipe down. Anytime you get TKO'd, you lose.

Posted by jbatt77 on December 17, 2014 at 01:17 PM

Stuart appeared to have the win in a spirited bout until Deslauriers helped him to the ground with a few big rights. Kudos to Deslauriers for grabbing him before his head hit the ice.

Posted by woolly mammoth on December 16, 2014 at 11:11 PM

Stuart might be a tough customer, but Deslauriers almost charged the full price to Stuart at the end and sent him gently into that good night.

Posted by nait on December 17, 2014 at 07:49 PM

Stuart came back strong but win to Deslauriers

Posted by holmz56 on December 17, 2014 at 08:16 PM

Check out Nicks fight vs. Islanders last year which I believe was last game of the year ! Talk about knocking a helmet off ! I thought his head was still in the helmet !

Posted by Hilaker on December 16, 2014 at 11:19 PM

Stuart started strong but Deslauriers ended it stronger. Very impressive showing by Deslauriers. Stuart thought he had an easy opponent.....he was wrong. Once he gets his wits back.

Posted by Great Murray on December 17, 2014 at 07:27 AM

Stuart was on his was to an easy win when 2 beauties catch him flush on the jaw...standing eight count followed by referee stops contest. Nick with a TKO for sure!!!

Posted by Humper on December 17, 2014 at 09:54 AM

TKO for Deslauriers, who started slowly but finished big. Stuart did not disgrace himself, but sure could have used better concentration near the end.

Posted by cible on December 17, 2014 at 12:00 AM

Looks like stuart went to sleep on this one. he was dreaming of beautiful women only to Wake up and see deslauriers on top of him. Was wondering what the f*** happened. Its okay to come out the closet Stuart.....poor him!!!!!

Posted by Massive Coiler on December 17, 2014 at 12:47 AM

Looked like he was doing okay, but Stuart got rocked at the end. Pretty even up to that point, but Deslauriers gets the win.

Posted by grocerystick on December 16, 2014 at 11:18 PM

TKO for the Sabre that has a name nobody wants to attempt to spell. Good fight, I just wish the visor wasn't a factor, which I believe it was...

Posted by King of Goons on December 17, 2014 at 02:55 AM

Stuart was actually winning this fight ...until he got TKO'd. I'm pretty impressed with this Deslauriers kid, who seems to like to throw em'.

Posted by bigmike53 on December 16, 2014 at 11:15 PM

Deslauriers has great power and he shows it off in this scrap. Stuart seemed to be in control and then he gets caught with 2 beauties. TKO win for Nicolas Deslauriers.

Posted by DARCY T on January 10, 2015 at 09:00 AM

stuart hurt himself in this fight and month later he still isnt in the lineup.im not sure what happened to him but looks like he hurt his knee and thats why he went down like that

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on December 17, 2014 at 02:00 AM

I already Stuart locked in the winner column then BOOM! Deslauriers catches Stupot with a cracker.

Posted by kkdowning on December 18, 2014 at 03:19 PM

Wow, Deslauriers takes a nasty run at the young master Schiefle, Stuart, being the elder leader sort stands up for the youngster and proceeds to get TKO'd. I hope he is alright, it looked like he took a very brief nap on the ice.

Posted by jthelly on December 16, 2014 at 11:00 PM

I'm checking the TKO box.. Stuart got dropped at the end.. Sorry but if you get your block rung and you're done.. You lose. Win to the Sabre who I'm not even going to bother to spell.. Kid handled himself very well though.

Posted by canamrugby on December 16, 2014 at 11:37 PM

Great example of why guys without visors need to be more careful against players with visors. Deslauriers just tucks his chin and waits while Stuart punches visor then looks to land one solid shot at the end.

Posted by rocky 1 on December 17, 2014 at 12:21 AM

Deslaurier? Stuart? Deslaurier? Stuart? Deslaurier with two late ones puts down Stuart! Win Deslaurier!

Posted by The Mad House on December 16, 2014 at 10:52 PM

Looked like Stuart had taken control towards the end Then BOOM Looks like that right from Deslauriers connected for the TKI Deslauriers is a pretty impressive kid

Posted by Canner on December 17, 2014 at 01:00 AM

Goin hard on Stuey here, boyz! I thought he fought a good fight, Deslauriers' final right and takedown aside.Going draw.

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 17, 2014 at 08:21 AM

The "Tough-alo" Sabres are at it again as a great sequence of events... - big hit - retaliation drop - chase down to engage - offer willingly accepted - back and forth scrap - with an over and under finish... ...reminds us all of how things used to be on a regular basis (Cue the Green Day Time Of Your Life soundtrack)

Posted by toy boy dan on December 17, 2014 at 05:51 AM

DRAW, VERY CLOSE!

Posted by CharlesmeMelvin on December 16, 2014 at 10:56 PM

Stuart connected 4times, Deslauriers only once. Advantage Stuart
