OK, OK, I knew Behn Wilson was going to use this as evidence that Wilson is not a legit tough guy. While he is probably correct -- Wilson should just be a true power forward and not a fighter, after all he was a first round pick -- it still hurts that the Caps rely on a 20 year 1st rounder to protect their stars because the rest of the team talks BS in the press but does not back it up . . . The Caps need more Canadian and US kids (maybe a Fin or 2) and fewer Marcus Johansons (and NO Brooks Laich of course)

Fart in my salad

Wilson is a punk and was dishing out cheap hits the whole game. I wish Reaves had hit him 10-20 more times.

reaves is much stronger and he put wilson off balance quickly.but i like that wilson forced reaves to this fight knowing that he would probably lose reaves in a short fight

Posted by jrh on November 16, 2014 at 10:18 AM

All Reaves.

Posted by mikebflorida on November 17, 2014 at 10:43 AM

As expected but with Wilson having the shield and tank armor on his head, Reaves is reduced to pounding away at the back of the head and driving the overmatched Wilson to the ice. Dirty hit by the Capital by the way. Why do these dopes keep hitting guys in the numbers near the boards? It aint rocket science.

Domination and a clear win by Ryan Reaves...Reaves is a Beast!!! Toughest one in the league so far....

Posted by Mark1967 on November 17, 2014 at 10:29 PM

I give this one to Reaves. Not much.

Posted by BennyD on November 18, 2014 at 12:54 PM

Reaves has to step in for Ott who hit by Backstrom, thus forcing Wilson to step in for him. 5 and a draw, but man, Reaves is strong as hell.

Posted by steakbelly8000 on November 16, 2014 at 03:26 PM

Wilson, for his size, is a sloppy awkward fighter... Even lost to one of the Schenn sisters last season... He should stick to fighting middleweights.....

Posted by rocky 1 on November 18, 2014 at 03:41 AM

Down goes Wilson! Down goes Wilson! That sums up this fight and a win for Reaves! Behn Wilson right for a change?

Posted by boldbilly on November 16, 2014 at 04:46 PM

This is the not so wicked Wilson......who doesn't know how to Pickett.....and yes I did have to stoop low for that one........this Wilson looks more like the Castaway Wilson floating away in a boat ....much to the chagrin of Tom Hanks...... Easy win for superman

Reaves with textbook enforcing!

Posted by JoeBlue on November 16, 2014 at 12:02 PM

Good scrap. Lots of helmet punches.

good night 2 of my favorite fighterss Reeves as usual

Posted by The Doggfather on November 16, 2014 at 06:10 PM

I don't see that as a lopsided bout at all-- pretty close, they each landed one shot. Wilson's the better of the two, but Reeves caught him falling down. I don't think Wilson will shy away from a mother shot at Reeves by any means in the future

Posted by EK65 on November 17, 2014 at 01:27 AM

Uncharacteristically hit by Backstrom leads to Reaves having a chat with him.. Which leads to Wilson having a chat with Reaves which leads to Wilson getting a butt kicking by Reaves.. I hope Backstrom bought him a steak or something for it.. Wilson honorable but, a bit out of your class buddy.. Also Ryan Reaves at this pace has the potential to win Fighter of the Year this year.. Let's all take that in...

Posted by Hilaker on November 16, 2014 at 08:39 PM

Reaves smacked Wilson right on the button. End of fight. Winner Reaves.

Posted by U wanna go? on December 29, 2014 at 05:18 AM

Yes, Tom Wilson, Reaves is that strong!! You will remember that next time you fight him!! Backstrom gets away with a cheapshot & some Capital is going to answer for that, since Backstrom won't/can't fight.

Posted by Buddy507 on November 15, 2014 at 11:54 PM

Wilson steps in after a dirty hit by his centerman. Reaves and Wilson throw some punches with some nasty intent early but nothing lands. Reaves earholes Wilson with a solid right and pops Wilson's helmet off. Reaves by TKO

another white boy assaulted by a canadian.

Posted by lctiger70 on November 16, 2014 at 12:38 PM

Reaves wins easily.

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 16, 2014 at 02:56 PM

Reaves (looking beastly in this year's crop) provides even more evidence to my ongoing and often disputed theory... That Wilson... is not a real "tough guy" and probably never was

Posted by rchristensen6 on November 16, 2014 at 12:45 PM

That last shot buckled Wilson significantly.

Posted by JBar595 on November 16, 2014 at 08:49 PM

I wasn't sure what Wilson wanted to do, fight or get a room the way he was hugging Reaves in the beginning.

Posted by kyhammer on November 16, 2014 at 12:55 PM

I like Wilson but Reaves takes this one.

Posted by Great Murray on November 16, 2014 at 03:45 PM

Wilson is fearless...but Reaves is a beast. He wins easily. Backstrom should have got a penalty for the cheap hit and Wilson shouldn't have saved him from the beating he had coming. Bettman's rules suck!

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 19, 2016 at 04:48 PM

Reaves scares me.

Posted by kingpintoo on November 17, 2014 at 06:54 PM

A real ass-woop'en. I was 50 feet away.

Posted by doobi1 on November 16, 2014 at 08:29 PM

I like the fact that Wilson jumped in for his buddy, but man did he ever get his ass kicked by Reaves, the instigator in this one. Win to Reaves, but kudo's to Wilson for sticking up for Latta.

Posted by alartemov on November 17, 2014 at 01:22 AM

Reaves big punch, Win

Posted by chad420 on November 20, 2014 at 08:23 AM

Allday Reaver

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on November 22, 2014 at 03:00 AM

Reaves just destroyed Wilson.

Posted by seeqi on November 16, 2014 at 04:47 PM

Wilson is a punk...likes to hit light weights, but can't back it up when faced with a real fighter.

Posted by Streett on February 01, 2015 at 01:52 PM

Willy kicked his ass

Posted by Humper on November 16, 2014 at 12:14 PM

Not that Reaves is an easy opponent to go against, but whatever happened to Tom Wilson - New Fighter Extraordinaire from last season? Reaves takes this one in just about every way possible.

Posted by bobowen34 on November 17, 2014 at 07:17 AM

I like Wilson, but he should not fight real tough guys. Reaves all the way.

Posted by Radiotalker on November 17, 2014 at 10:02 AM

So visors are completely acceptable in brawls now, huh? That sucks. If you're going to take on the tough guy to distract him from your teammate, you should do it honorably. Guess that's too old school. Win Reaves.

Posted by gmr133 on November 17, 2014 at 12:37 PM

Ott deserves what he gets, but that was a cheap shot by Backstrom. Then Reaves with a big shot to the ear hole. Win Reaves.

Posted by Massive Coiler on November 16, 2014 at 03:56 PM

Reaves got the fight he wanted last year in this scrap that Wilson really shouldn't have wanted any part of.

Posted by Biggus on November 16, 2014 at 03:30 PM

It looked like Reaves stunned him a bit with that right - and through the helmet to boot. Wilson will think twice before engaging Reaves again I expect.

Posted by King of Goons on February 25, 2016 at 11:44 AM

Wilson gets bullied and embarrassed.

Posted by bigmike53 on November 16, 2014 at 01:15 PM

Reaves hammers Wilson and dominates in this scrap. It looked like Wilson landed a nice shot on Reaves and things went south for the young Wilson from there. Good to see the big guys throwin hands.

Posted by rprice1981 on November 16, 2014 at 10:58 AM

By my count Reaves landed about 10 to 15 hits Wilson got maybe 5 in, but it was Reaves last 2 to 3 punches the knocked Wilson down! The boxing lessons that Reaves has been taking are paying off!
