Welcome to Boston Iggy!

Posted by PINQIN on October 04, 2013 at 01:37 AM

Another star princess who can not deal with a good clean hit... This fight was stupid.

Posted by nyandy41 on October 04, 2013 at 10:41 AM

decent bout gave it a draw

Posted by mr hockey on October 03, 2013 at 10:00 PM

i see that as a draw no clear bombs landed ,a lot of air or body shots

Posted by Silent Partner on October 04, 2013 at 07:21 AM

Gudas deserves a draw because of the great body check. Iginla only hit the back of his head. No damage done, only Ingy's pride.

Posted by Gunslinger on October 06, 2013 at 07:29 PM

Another fight caused by a clean hit. Dumber and dumberer. Punches to the back of the head don't count.

Posted by tpr1960 on October 07, 2013 at 11:44 AM

Great hit !!!!!!!!

Posted by Schaschek on October 07, 2013 at 05:14 AM

draw for me.

Iginla is such an entertaining fighter.

Posted by Sportaholic on October 29, 2013 at 07:43 PM

IGINLA-GUDAS I: Good stuff. I always love Iginla's fights, and Gudas is quickly becoming my new favorite fighter. Not sure what happened to Jack Edwards though...he must've taken a valium before this game...

Posted by MaddieLynn on October 04, 2013 at 12:19 AM

Great hockey entertainment.

Posted by colefamily77 on October 04, 2013 at 08:19 AM

Gudas at beginning, Iginla at the end, Draw.

Posted by Cowboy Wally on October 04, 2013 at 09:36 PM

The high rankings seem to be for the AWESOME hit Gudas put on Iginla. The fight wasn't crap, but it sure wasn't better than average.

"Cheese Boy" is No Gouda at Fighting, Iginla All the Way

Posted by Jellyczar on October 04, 2013 at 07:26 AM

Edge Iginla..... but great hit by Gudas

Posted by moneybags on October 04, 2013 at 01:09 AM

Good addition to Bs...ginla pounded him

Posted by srehm1 on October 04, 2013 at 11:07 PM

Iginla outlands Gudas for the win.

Posted by staceyb on October 04, 2013 at 05:30 AM

Ol' Iggy hung in there for the W. It's not often that you see two hockey fighters stop and then reset for more blows.

Posted by smashem on October 04, 2013 at 08:14 PM

Not great of a fight Edge Iggy

Posted by MeatPlow on October 05, 2013 at 11:22 AM

Jerome with the hard fought win but Gouda fought well also. close fight.

Posted by HMai802915 on October 04, 2013 at 05:43 PM

I Love Iginla and he won this bout, but to cry over a legit hit is not cool.

Posted by kinga101 on October 03, 2013 at 10:16 PM

Iginla threw a lot, but not landing much and Gudas didn't do much of anything but hang on. It seems like clean open ice hits always result in a fight. Whatever happened to the "MEN" who used to be able to take good hard hits?

Posted by vinny2006 on October 03, 2013 at 09:27 PM

Posted by Andydest on October 05, 2013 at 11:27 AM

Who voted for Gudas LOL

Posted by B-Bear on October 05, 2013 at 01:44 AM

Iggy pounded him

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on October 03, 2013 at 09:08 PM

I kind of thought (hoped) this would happen in his first game as a Bruin. Nothing crazy but it looked like a couple connected.

Posted by str8up on October 03, 2013 at 11:29 PM

Iggy didn't like the hit and took care of business himself. Welcome to the Bruins.

Posted by Scott29035 on November 11, 2013 at 04:01 PM

Clean hard hit, decent fight. Welcome to Boston Jarome.

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 03, 2013 at 09:29 PM

Great clean open ice hit by Gudas followed by an admirable loss against an angry Iginla I'm starting to really like the style and character of this Czech fire hydrant

Posted by BooSanta on October 03, 2013 at 10:42 PM

Ultra weird seeing that Bruin uniform on Iggy, but he still has the old fire in a spirited bout. Bruin Fans have a new favorite.

Posted by kingpintoo on October 05, 2013 at 01:49 AM

Iginla won but should have gotten extra 2 minutes.

Posted by b.t.wilson on October 03, 2013 at 10:01 PM

Beauty hit that you know Iggy isn't going to take. Bruin with the win and a six.

Posted by boldbilly on October 04, 2013 at 08:37 AM

Very close fight ......slight edge to Iginla.....he was the busier but not that many actually landed besides those back to the head noogies The real issue is .......Iginla can't take a good clean check..... and more importantly why didn't he. Get the instigator here? I guess all is forgiven and now little Jackie Edwards likes Iggy........oops just threw up all over my tablet........morons

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on October 03, 2013 at 10:53 PM

iggy

Posted by kimo_coyote on October 03, 2013 at 11:14 PM

Good open ice check. At least Jerome took care of his own business instead of some slug jumping Gudas. Good fight, slight edge to Iginla

Posted by hughcares on October 04, 2013 at 12:48 PM

Great hit by Gudas - Iginla came close to being put into retirement there. Fight was a draw or a beatdown to Bruins fans.

Posted by GreatMurray on October 06, 2013 at 10:34 AM

He heard Iginla tell the kid, "do you really want your girl friend to see you get your ass kicked by an old man?" The kid said 'yes' and so it came to pass that Radko learned that famous lesson about old people. Ask any rookie about his first introduction to Gordie Howe! They are mean and they cheat and fight dirty...nuff said!

Posted by theSDauncey on October 04, 2013 at 05:35 AM

w iginla

Posted by Mark1967 on October 04, 2013 at 04:45 PM

Iginla still willing to go.

Posted by codemgr on October 09, 2013 at 01:08 PM

Iginla takes exception to the clean hard check from Gudas. Then he makes him pay! Iginla tired at the end but clearly owned Gudas!

Posted by RabidBruinsFan1 on October 05, 2013 at 03:44 PM

Mr Iginla, welcome to the Boston Bruins....

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 30, 2015 at 06:18 PM

Good Scarp. Edge To Iginla.

Posted by bruins rule on October 04, 2013 at 10:49 AM

iginla with the win in this fight.

Posted by sedinfan on October 03, 2013 at 10:38 PM

How can you not love Iggy, no matter who you cheer for? How many 500 goal scorers drop the gloves like he does and don't look for others to look after him.

Posted by Meatpuppet42 on October 06, 2013 at 06:13 PM

Iginla one of the toughest guys in the nhl

Posted by flamesblackace on October 06, 2013 at 10:22 AM

Gudas learns when you mess with an old bull, sometimes you get the horns.

Posted by DotRats on October 04, 2013 at 07:55 AM

Good hit, Iginla encourages him to not do that again haha

Posted by laskey on December 23, 2013 at 09:55 PM

IGINLA GAVE HIM A GOOD HEAD POUNDING

Posted by JesseLarkin on October 04, 2013 at 11:13 AM

Great bout from Iggy

Posted by rimbaud1977 on October 04, 2013 at 12:17 PM

Iggy shows Gudas you gotta pay if you want to go after the old boy.

Posted by Beantown11 on October 05, 2013 at 05:46 PM

Good fight for two non fighters.

Posted by TheWildhawke on October 07, 2013 at 02:37 PM

I wish this fight would have come under different circumstances, because as a fight it was good. The hit was clean though and Gudas was just playing good hockey. That said, amazing showing by the both of them. This is what fights are supposed to be, and Iginla was the CLEAR winner.

Posted by EdNo on October 07, 2013 at 06:18 PM

Gotta like the way Ignila fights his OWN fight after getting blasted... This crap of a teammate stepping in EVERY time an opponent delivbers a good hit is lame; no problem to avenge a dirty hit, or even a clean one that hurts the guy... ohh a digress... Iginla makes himself a Bruin by doing it BOSTON STRONG... win Iggy

Posted by chaoticbrew on October 04, 2013 at 07:53 PM

36 year old Iggy beat down the youngster

Posted by ezekiel on October 07, 2013 at 05:53 PM

Great to see Iginla kick some ass.

Posted by CaptJay on October 04, 2013 at 01:37 AM

Good bout!

Posted by soupyfly on October 03, 2013 at 11:08 PM

Iggy with the win

Posted by dylan325 on October 04, 2013 at 01:24 PM

Those over the top rights from Iginla were awesome. The uppercut after was great too. Very, very good fight.

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on October 04, 2013 at 03:15 AM

iggy!

Posted by Boston Garden on October 03, 2013 at 09:14 PM

Iginla feeds Gudas here. I'm sure the Bruins haters will be grasping at straws to discredit the Bruins, but just remember that the Bruins are tougher than your favorite team.

Posted by Custombreaks on October 04, 2013 at 02:07 AM

Aww Igie hides behind the skirt of the NHLOA! What is it with the B's and their referees? Could it be because of #11?

Posted by ironbar44 on October 03, 2013 at 09:20 PM

before watching i looked at the voting .figured KO for IGINLA but that was a pretty even scrap

Posted by warrior13 on October 03, 2013 at 09:22 PM

Win gudas....landed better shots...all of iginla's flailed on radko's back

Posted by irishdefense on October 03, 2013 at 10:17 PM

Gudas with the only real punches landed.

Posted by Ed Van Impe on October 04, 2013 at 07:35 AM

You'd think after 50 years Iggy the Visor would learn to take a clean hit ...

Posted by LightningDogg on October 11, 2013 at 03:18 PM

After going ass over elbows from a TEXTBOOK clean hit by Gudas, Iggy must have thought he saw Lecavalier's face from '04. No need for that fight, but I have to give it to Iggy for being busier, although that many punches to the back of Gudas' could lead to hand problems. And what's with the late tomahawk punches to the back of the head? Weak. I thought Iginla might bring some class to the Care Bears, but it looks like he might be dropping to their level. It would be a shame to see one of the greats revert to Boston (smells) strong :-(

Posted by maineman on October 05, 2013 at 09:15 PM

Bs always win

Posted by rampart7577 on October 06, 2013 at 01:02 AM

Not a fan of either team, how can anyone not score this a win for Iggy.

Posted by chad420 on October 04, 2013 at 10:07 AM

win Iggy...welcome to the Bs

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on October 03, 2013 at 10:08 PM

Iggy's first fight as a Bruin goes pretty well, he was landing some clubbing shots to the back of the head and pretty much overpowered Gudas.

Posted by FHgrad99 on October 04, 2013 at 01:00 AM

Jarome Iginla doesn't fight very often but he more than holds his own more often than not when he does drop them. Iginla takes this one.

Posted by kkdowning on October 04, 2013 at 09:29 AM

Iginla clearly the better fighter, but man Gudas laid a great hit on him that lead to the fight

Posted by SouthPaw017 on October 04, 2013 at 02:53 AM

You knew it was going to happen, Iginla owed it to the fans, baptized at home as a Bruin.... Decent bout, Jarome gets the win, welcome to Boston.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on October 04, 2013 at 09:22 PM

Gudas paid the price for laying a clean beautiful hit on Iginla.

Posted by likeapuma on October 04, 2013 at 11:05 AM

Good on Iginla for taking care of his own battles.

Posted by Madhouse27 on October 04, 2013 at 06:42 PM

Gudas?? Draw?? Oh I forgot, Iginla is wearing a Bruins sweater these days...never mind.

Posted by mff500 on October 04, 2013 at 12:35 PM

Great check, good fight. Iginla looking to make a statement for his new fans and remind a younger player of respect he earned over the years.

Posted by fernben8 on October 04, 2013 at 07:28 AM

I thought it was a borderline hit (Interference), Can't blame Iginla though ' good as ' you're gonna get from Radko. Slight edge to Jarome.
