DD got an arse whooping. I'm glad to see Mrs. Dorsett still watches his fights and votes all wins for her son on HF.com.

simmonds destroyed him like the flyers destroyed the jackets

Wayne Simmonds is a little pussy. That wasnt even a fight. Go get some England, McQuaid, Orr, Brown, Kaleta, Tootoo, Bass, Ott, Kenopka, Gillies. When Simmonds beats one of them in an actual fight then ill show some respect to the monkey.

Holy balls did Dorsett kill the colored guy. Simmonds got smoked. He needs to go play bassetball where all the brothers belong.

Good test for Simmonds, as he rises to the occasion, to easily handle, an experienced, Dorsett. Columbus...WTF????!!!

dorsett needs to go on goerge larouqe steropid program.just no weight, just heart.

All Simmonds.

Posted by staceyb on November 05, 2011 at 09:39 PM

Simmonds with the big win over Dorsett, standing up for his lifeless team. Overall Columbus couldn't have been any more putrid. 9-2.

Win Simmonds with the win as he bloodies Dorsett who does a poor imitation of Stortini!Where are the real heavy weights this year!

Posted by hal29 on November 08, 2011 at 02:08 AM

I don't know what has been in Simmonds cereal this year man he is throwing them. Which is impressive seeing he is not that great of a fighter. Glad to see he took the visor off this year and became a man. He probably realised he was going to play a bigger role. He is smart get the speed and the aggresive edge in early and has worked so far for him this year. Quick win for Simmonds. Gave it a 5. I would give it a 5.5 but I can't so a 5 does it. A 6 would be to much credit for this fight.

Posted by LA KING FANATIC on November 07, 2011 at 08:47 PM

Dorsett got his ass kicked and as usual threw the sucker punch when the refs seperated them. he always waits till he thinks he can land a shot between protection..a puke of the first order, easy win Simmonds

Posted by BooSanta on November 06, 2011 at 08:45 PM

The announcers were right about Dorsett having the team's few heartbeats that night. Despite getting a fat lip from a solid Simmonds uppercut near the end of this one sided demolition, he came back and brought the Blew Jackets within... uuhhh.. 7 at the end, if the box score is correct. What a year for Simmonds so far.

Posted by bruiser11 on November 06, 2011 at 12:56 AM

Simmonds with the domination there.

Posted by kimo_coyote on November 06, 2011 at 12:53 AM

Simmonds winner.

Posted by fernben8 on November 06, 2011 at 12:15 PM

Welcome to Wayne's world...! I think Dorsett was surprised and thrown off by Simmond's lead right and never recovered after that... The upper-cut (after he lost his helmet) buckled him and sent him down. Props to both but all Simmonds here.

I hate Columbus and all of its inhabitants. Go Wings and Go Wolverines!!

Posted by sedinfan on November 05, 2011 at 11:57 PM

Always fun to see little pukes like Dorsett get schooled on the art of fighting.

Posted by Redsoxcls on November 06, 2011 at 12:01 AM

Simmonds landed nearly every shot in a dominant victory

Posted by Double Nickels on November 07, 2011 at 07:26 AM

Ohf, Dorsett slugged that linesman.

SIMMER DOMINATION

Posted by rule46 on November 09, 2011 at 05:42 AM

Wayne Simmonds was able to give Derek Dorsett a face full of celebration.

Posted by koolpunch on November 06, 2011 at 12:43 AM

Simmonds can certainly throw the knuckles. That first punch would have ended it, but missed. He followed that up with some over and unders. The unders doing the damage. Tough night for Columbus...

simmonds wins easy

Pretty good fight by simmonds. He destroyed dorsett

Posted by Jordybats99 on December 19, 2016 at 09:21 PM

Wayne Simmonds hammered Dorsett. Then Derek was a puss, and tried to throw after the Zebras got in and saved him.

The Tape Worm of Death rolls another one.

Posted by hkhk on November 05, 2011 at 09:47 PM

simmonds might be light heavy champ.

Posted by GreatMurray on November 06, 2011 at 11:10 AM

Almost a TKO. Dorsett's all they've got. The rest to that team should be embarrassed.

Posted by Troyboi on November 06, 2011 at 08:52 AM

Derek Dorsett is another Jared Boll, he fights pretty much anyone and losses majority of the time. I always knew Wayne Simmonds was a good fighter but man he beat Derek pretty badly in this one he's turning into a Ryan Clowe.

Posted by massonMRT on November 06, 2011 at 04:21 AM

never seen wayne fight, I was impressed.

Posted by QUIGGS22 on November 05, 2011 at 10:30 PM

Simmonds dominates !

Posted by ETHREE on November 06, 2011 at 01:28 PM

Love the attempted cheapshot at the end by Dorsett... but whatever, Simmonds, manhandled Dorsett the "enforcer". I don't think you could see the split lip of Dorsett in the video but he was leaking pretty bad and came back with a few stitches... Simmonds is no joke, lacks energy sometimes, but it doesn't affect his play nor his heart.

Posted by hoeslapper17 on November 08, 2011 at 12:34 AM

Simmonds shits on Dorsett. The ed

Simmonds = Dorsett's father

Posted by PhillyFlyguys13 on November 05, 2011 at 08:50 PM

Simmonds said welcome to Philly, then proceeded to bust him up

Posted by PAPERCLIPv2 on November 06, 2011 at 12:06 AM

Started fairly even but Wayne Simmonds got some huge hits in and ended it with a few swings.

Posted by bigdog2007 on November 06, 2011 at 09:31 AM

Dorsett looked like Lucie Schenn there

Posted by barnibizer on November 09, 2011 at 01:55 AM

Am a big fan of both of these. Simmonds is soo much tougher than he gets credit for. Just becos he doesnt drop em every other fight doesnt mean he cannot swing with the best. Two words...HEAVY HANDED

Posted by JoeSchmo on November 09, 2011 at 01:25 PM

Uppercut at the end buckles Dorsett's knees.

Posted by durka on November 07, 2011 at 05:01 PM

black guy always wins

Posted by Rags4Life on November 06, 2011 at 12:50 AM

Boy, I hope Dorsett bought the zebras a few rounds after this one. They save him from the inevitable beating Simmonds was about to dish out.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 12, 2015 at 04:00 AM

I never get tired of watching DD get smoked.

Posted by chad420 on November 06, 2011 at 08:28 AM

win Richard Simmons

Posted by muskokadangler on November 06, 2011 at 06:07 AM

Dorsett got worked!!! he's got to fined a better and more balanced way to get that first grip because if he keeps doing that he's going to shorten his career IMO maybe if he learns to throw well with both hands he would have more options and not be so vulnerable

Posted by mike2323 on November 06, 2011 at 05:50 AM

Simmonds with domination

Posted by CarnieBill on November 07, 2011 at 12:15 PM

Clear win for Simmonds. Dorsett not prepared for Simmond's right.

Posted by FHgrad99 on November 06, 2011 at 11:39 AM
