Eager gets the elbow up when receiving a clean hit, then indstigates a fight in which he goes for what appears to be a single-leg takedown. What are we watching???

Posted by filthynumber1 on October 21, 2011 at 01:27 AM

is this the minnesota feed or something? ...this is a draw. i watched it 3 times. no one landed fcukall!..

At least, one nice left each, from two switch hitters (and I mean that in the manliest of ways). Always liked ''the Staubitz''...not so much, the ''Eager''.

Ben Eager has to be the guy who most often ends up falling down on his own to end his fights. As soon as he gets at least one shot in he's like "that's it, fight's over". A clever way of turtling.

Posted by staceyb on October 21, 2011 at 06:26 AM

It looks like they each got in one big shot.

Posted by hal29 on October 23, 2011 at 06:27 PM

Both land some descent shots. Bad camera angle leads to a draw cause I could see what had landed other than two a piece. Draw!!!!

Give it a draw, for eager landing a haymaker, and staubitz staying up.

Posted by johnnyrock555 on October 21, 2011 at 01:14 AM

It looks to me like Eager switches hands first. Good fight any way.

both landed solid lefts.draw

i was expecting Eager to drown in this one. but did surprisingly well. both combatants were going for the KO, i wish this fight went longer then it did, could have ended up being a top fight candidate in my opinion. DRAW

I guess the announcer missed the fingers to Eagers eyes....

Posted by rocky 1 on October 21, 2011 at 12:29 AM

Look homers say what you will but just because a guy falls down doesn,t mean he was knocked down! Eager threw more and landed more before Staubitch pulls him to the ground as usual! so Win eager.Eager is no MacIntyre and the oilers made a big mistake not resigning him.The oilers will never learn! If you want to be the best get the best.

Nice opportune switching of the hands leads to a nice little flurry of lefts and the edge for Staubitz.

I agree with the announcer, Staubitz first went with the right and smartly switches whan he wasn't getting anywhere. Great hand speed by Staubitz with the lefts. Not the best camera angle but it looked like a knock down...

Staubitz is turning into a great 2 way player. End of last year played both O and D very well. Has always been a good middleweight. Hes my favorite player in the NHL right now. Don't lose that nasty streak Brad!

I love it when the broadcasters turn into boxing analysts.

Staabby easy

Posted by Bear72 on October 21, 2011 at 09:06 PM

Its sad because i can remember when Eager could handle himself time to retire old man

Posted by mullet33 on October 20, 2011 at 11:23 PM

Why are all these fights grainy - lets get some HD feeds on here or something. From what I can "guess" edge Staubitz.

Posted by bruins rule on October 22, 2011 at 06:59 PM

brad gets the win in this fight.

Posted by b.t.wilson on October 20, 2011 at 11:58 PM

Blonde at 1:04 with the win, second place to Staubitz, third to Eager in a good short scrap. 6.

Posted by web320 on October 20, 2011 at 11:18 PM

good fight. edge Staubitz with his ability to switch throwing fists

Posted by GreatMurray on October 21, 2011 at 07:31 PM

Brad kicks Bens Butt. Good switch to lefty.

Posted by beatdown89 on October 21, 2011 at 12:22 AM

Eager must have been too busy thinking about the boobies he might see while in the box.

Posted by FightsOfHockey on October 20, 2011 at 11:12 PM

Big Bombs in this one staubitz wins tho

Posted by chad420 on October 21, 2011 at 01:09 PM

draw...nice Rocky ref.

Posted by travist on October 21, 2011 at 01:40 AM

i gotta agree with the minority on this one, eager with the w...

Posted by MNHaymaker on October 20, 2011 at 11:48 PM

Short and not all that exciting. But at least both were trying to throw some big shots, and Staber gets the decision in a close one by switching to southpaw and landing the decisive blows.

Posted by kkdowning on October 21, 2011 at 11:20 PM

Win Staubitz -- I was wondering what happened to Eager, now I am all caught up

Posted by BoogeyRocks on December 01, 2011 at 01:00 PM

Boom does the dynamite. Clear win for Staubi.

Posted by CloweStaubi on October 20, 2011 at 11:37 PM

great exchange there from eager and staubitz (two ex-Sharks)... look like staubi might have stunned him with that left
