Colton Orr vs Zack Stortini

Just for a brief second there, right off the top,
Stortini actually looked...dare I say... competitive.

But then, reality set in...
and an unfortunate combination of bad linesmanship,
and woefully inadequate fighting skills.
ultimately led him to his, inevitable, anihilation.

All Orr in a bout that should have been with Big Mac but Orr wisely chose his kid brother instead. Stortini is always out there hitting someone along the boards and challenging guys to fight. He's got guts as Barry Melrose likes to say but he is nowhere to be found on the list of best NHL fighters.

what are idiots like Stortini thinking. He wins one fight a year against middleweights and decides to take on Orr when McIntyre is out there. Takes an absolute beating which was totally predictable. The biggest cliche I hate in hockey is "he showed up, doesn't matter who wins" as long as he fires up the team. Do you mean to tell me that standing there getting the shi* kicked out of you fires up your team, I don't think so. Huggy Bear gets killed.

I'm going to get on Orr's case here because he had no business taking on Stortini when MacIntyre was right there...
Non-verbals do a lot of talking and you can see Orr turn slightly away from MacIntyre to avoid eye contact, when Stortini took the face-off. Orr also made sure he was close by Stortini as the play stopped.
Cheap win for Orr..

I think Stortini landed his first NHL punch in this fight. He also demonstrated that he has a good chin-again!

If Stortini gave the cheap shot and is doin the yapping......THAT"S WHO ORR FIGHTS!!!!! Doesn't matter if Mac is on the ice!!!

Come on people ....Call Orr alot of things but ya lose alot of credibility if you call him a coward!!!! A coward HE IS NOT!!!!! HAVE you watched his Numerous fights in the last 6 years?????

Did nobody notice Orr pointed his stick at Stortini when Mac was Jawing.....Probably to say No I'm Fighting Cheapshot boy!!!!!!

stortini is game until orr tags him with a couple huge shots, then spends a minute avoiding death. i agree orr candy-assed out of big mac, but i would've done the exact same thing. then again, i don't consider myself much of a tough guy...
i disagree with those that say the fight should've happened between these two, fighters should stay in their weight class unless they want to go up, but they shouldn't find someone below to thump on. i also think the linesmen should've jumped sooner than they did, once they were up against the glass and stortini was facing away he was exposed for orr to do horrible damage. it was obvious twenty seconds in who won, they should've broke it up.

Mac should have stepped in before Stortini dropped um. Saying that thou, if i had a choice, i would have picked stortini to :D

If Encino Man 2 ever comes out, Colton Orr should take over for Brendan Fraser.

Easy win Orr. That being said, it sure looked like Orr picked his spot in this one, just sayin'.
