Downie tried to throw a couple and missed. Buff threw a couple that landed. Downie then hung on for dear life. Tried to tackle Buff and realized he couldn't and then hung on some more. Would have loved to see Buff pummel him some more but it was still a W.

I thought it was kind of funny to see downie grab for one of big buffs legs to go for the takedown.. he failed considering one of byfuglein's legs is the size of downie

I'm a huge Hawks fan. I'm a huge fight fan. You can see without a true enforcer who can fight and who can't. By far in his young career, Byfuglien can't. I've read scouting reports on him when he was drafted that he was a skilled fighter. I don't see it. He chirps alot, but when he gets into it, there is too much hugging (it hurts me to say, but like Donald "Huggybear" Brashear...AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!). Downie should have been easily dispatched, but it did look like Byfuglien had a difficult time handling him.

I would like to have seen more punches thrown on Downie's behalf. Proves that he'll take on someone bigger than him and not back down.

I hate seeing this! Go after a guy when he throws a cheap shot, but going after a guy for a missed hit on what would of been a clean hit is plain stupid!

Good job by Downie to stand up for Stamkos.

getting dominated, even regressed to grabbing his pants, repack your 'chute Downie. Byfuglien was too big. Only a few shots really, none huge. nice teamwork Downie.

Hats off the Downie standing up for Stamkos, and taking on a guy 60 lbs heavier.

This was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen. Buff takes a clean open ice hit towards Stamkos (and doesn't exactly connect very well), so Downie retaliates and embarasses himself. If Byfuglien would have actually connected solid with his hit on Stamkos, then I might buy into the whole "standing up for a teammate" retaliation bit, but he didn't. He clipped him, and Downie threw a tantrum about it so the physical mismatch doesn't impress me. Byfuglien didn't exactly fight with a whole lot of enthusiasm either. Edge - Byfuglien.

After Downie's cross check in retaliation of Byfuglien's legal hit on Stamkos, Byfuglien got a couple good punches in. Downie followed with a clean shot and it was a hugfest after that.

I'd say Downie should stick to guys his own size, but i think the lumps on his head will do that for me.

Downie = Nancy Boy. Stevie...was it ok when you tried to kill McAmmond in the preseason? Take your lumps, punk.
