Nobody was trying to hurt anybody here. They simply set-up for the big show. Steve even gives Boogie a nose honk at .55. If he can touch his nose and chin you bet he can hit it if he wants to.

I think the fight geared up the Oiler fans and not getting the Wild players going. Despite the fact that no big blows were landed, I actually didn't mind watching, what turned out to be, a pretty decent defensive scrap between two heavyweight pros.

Liked the Linesman: "Get to fightin' boys" wanted to see some bombs though........Wasn't it Boogie who broke Mac's orbital?

Gotta go with a draw here. Boogaard is still such a beast, he'll just sit back all day waiting to throw that big gorilla right. Every time he fights you hold your breath to see if someone is going to die. Good job MacIntyre not letting that happen. p.s. guys this size are never, ever going to just open up and square go. You can't take one to give one because the second you take one its two days later. They're going to fight with defense at the front of the mind.

Slight edge to Boogaard for being more active and at least willing to open up a little. Both fighters were aware of the size and strength of their opponent, but MacIntyre just kind of hung on.

MacIntryre didn't do nearly enough to claim a draw in this one. Boogaard didn't dominate but he was throwing and landing throughout so he gets the W. Not bad action but expected more from MacIntyre. Scored it a 6.

First time I have seen Boogard turn into huggy bear. Boogy's first move was to grab on and give MacIntyre a kiss on the cheek. If you think Boogard won then why was Nilson able to dis boogard with a boarding penalty in the 3rd?

No big punches landed, I think anytime you come back from a broken face it entitles you to a draw by making sure your not hit with a big time shot....I give Mac credit for asking and making sure B knew he was willing it wasn't till they were down 2 till B obliged......B was a non factor and thats all Mac's job is......B did not run around like he usually does.....So in a way Mac won, he nullified B's presence.....
