down goes the champ

I've noticed in other Laraque fights, that he tries to get the other guy to swing first then he usually counters with great accuracy and power. But it seams Fritz knew that, and was playing Laraque's own game against him. Making Georges swing first then countering quite nicely. Other enforcers should take note. Wait for George to make the first move. It still may result in George kicking ass, but it didn't this time. Fritz gets the win here.

Fritz with a win over the champ in his first NHL fight...quite the start for the 6'7" 28 year old rookie.....Fritz managed BGL's spin cycle which very few have done

Fritz looked pretty good for his first NHL fight. I know he has been around for a while, but first big league fight against BGL, good times!!!

Do we have a NEW HW CHAMP! And who in their right mind said BGL won this fight?

Imagine your first NHL fight is against George Laraque!
Great job by Fritz as he kept Laraque off balance off the top and landed a nasty shot at the end. Big debut win.

Wow. Took about 3 days to get going, but Fritz did a good job taking that decision.

BGL is certainly beaten. I'm sure more challenges will start to come his way. WHo is this Mitch Fritz?

Fritz wins, but I wouldn't get too excited about it. He spun Laraque around like a top, but didn't land much. I'd like to see hom go toe-to-toe with BGL like a Donald Brasher would.

Fritz is going to be a force. Plain and simple.

I had a feeling that this would be the year that Laraque would go down, he's grown too complacent. Fritz head him looking like a rag doll at times. Did see much in the way of damage, but Fritz controlled from beginnding to end. W Fritz.

Loss to Fritz, loss to Thornton? The king's reign is over!

I think BGL has gone a little soft after signing with the Habs......He was tossed around like a ragdoll by Fritzy......Look out NHL here comes a tree that can skate!!

WOW. Did i say WOW yet? Its not often if ever that bgl gets thrown around. was it enuff for a "W"? looks like the vote says it is but i think not. Draw on the account of landed punches being about even. nuff said.
