This is Thompson's win. How anyone is giving the decision to Mair is beyond me. Thompson landed a flurry of big punches including one that knocked off Mair's helmet while Mair landed just 1 punch, and that was when the linesmen were already in between them.

Huge puss move by Rivet. Gotta call this one a draw.

Mess with one Sabres mess with them all... screw the announcers!

WTF was Rivet doing? This could have been a barn burner but....Mair seems to hug thompson after the throw down then thompson gets the better of the exchange. I'm gonna give the edge to thompson for battling through the cheap shot and then landing the best shots of the fight. I call for a rematch.

Thompson won the fight going away, cannot see how any of you could have voted for Mair who needed his "big brother" to step in and protect him from a middleweight and a rookie at that. What a punk move by rivet to jump in from behind while a fight is about to start.

To all the idiots: RIVET JUMPED IN and had no NEED or REASON to do so!
after that, obviously guys on the isles were going to jump in to even things out. As well as guys on the sabres. A big mess, no clear winner, even though Mair threw that cheapshot in after the linesmen got involved. Witt smashed his head on the ice after paetsch ripped his helmet off, meanwhile still kept his on with his shield on. PEOPLE WHO FIGHT WITH SHIELDS ARE *******!

Disgusting hockey by the Sabres. You don't tackle another player and you don't smash someones head into the ice.

Mair had the fight in him, and it showed. Edge Mair.

Fan of neither team but have to say that if punks like Mair and Rivet represent the teams tough guys they are in a lot of trouble.

mair threw a dirty left at the end.

Gotta agree I'd rather listen to Rick than this guy (as a Sabres fan) but Mair could have stood up for himself, no need for Rivet to get involved. Liked Bergenheim jumping in but he took a beating for it. Overall, I'd saw draw

Adam Mair was easily the better fighter, he controlled the thompson the whole time, and as far as saying Mair had a late punch, its a fight, if you dont want to get punched, dont drop the gloves!

That was clearly Thompson's win.
