Not much of a fight.
Short scrap with NO WINNER, with no real passion.

As a non-partisan observer, it looks like Veilleux was running around trying to start something, but when he finally got Lappy to oblige, he wasn't so tough anymore. Fortunately for him he was able to tie up LaP.

I guess the message here is 'be careful what you wish for.'

What's up with all the hand waving from Laperriere? Was he trying to play patty cake with Veilleux? Or was he trying to cast a spell on him?

Draw in a **** fight. This is a hockey fight site, too many Avs and Wild homers getting in the way of the real travesty here. The fact that the Avs are avoiding fisticuffs like the a virus. There is no defense of this. I wonder why some of you guys come to this site? This is a HOCKEYFIGHT site! We want Hockey fights! Colorado is ruining what could've been a very entertaining series.
As a hockey fight fan, I was hoping the Wild would win and somehow would wind up with a Flames-Wild series. Imagine that with the lineups and Iron Mike coaching the Flames. There would be no running to momma like the Avs are doing. Honestly fellas' check the emotions and biases at the door and look at the reality here!
Nobody as a hockey fight fan can criticize the Wild! They have tried to stir the pot but the pansies in Colorado are going to do more to hurt fighting in hockey then the Red Wings did over the past few years.

Lappy is such a big *****. How tough is your tough guy when he'll attack Marian Gaborik twice in one game ( last regular season meeting ) but won't step up to the plate with any of the guys in a similar role from the Wild. Take your pick, Simon, Fridge, or Boogey. What a chicken s@#t.

Draw. The refs came in before a solid conclusion was reached.

Veilleux's had his fair share of scraps, but he's a grinder, not an enforcer. That and isn't Lappy beginning to remind you of another infamous Av who liked to hit and run, but when it was time to step up, he ran like a little girl? He's already said he doesn't want any part of Boogaard, and he's making it obvious that he doesn't want any part of a Wild player that could be a threat to him. Hell, he went after GABORIK for God's sake.

As for the fight, nothing really happened, so we'll call it a draw.

Lapps finally found someone on the wild smaller then him to fight. Mcleod and Lapps have no problem running there mouth to Minnesotas big guys but won't back it up. Neither of them would even fight Voros. Whos not even that good of a fighter. Hey laps maybe next you could jump Gaborik again. Give Veilleux credit for jumping in since he'snot a fighter.

Did any of you douchebags actually see what veilleux tried to do to stastny. guy has no ****ing class at all. Minnesota didn't even belong in the playoffs, thanks for wasting 4 rosters spots on guys with 14 goals and 30 points combined this season. who the **** were they planning to fight?! mcleod...hannan... foote? nice strategy lemaire.

I was glad to see Veilleux step up. The fight sucked, but he showed more class than ANY Av's player on the ice. The calls this game were horrible. Lopsided and pathetic. The officiating this whole series has been pathetic. Man up Av's. Play Hockey. If your retirees can't play without whining, get them off the ice.
