Mar 09, 2007 Minnesota Wild Stephane Veilleux
3pd 04:20 Buffalo Sabres Patrick Kaleta
Comments: A scrum develops along the boards near the benches and out of it come Veilleux and Kaleta. They grab ahold of each other and drop the gloves. Kaleta gets in an early left and then rips Veilleux's helmet off. Veilleux pins Kaleta up against the boards and throws three straight rights while Kaleta tries to move away and block the shots. They wrestle around until Kaleta throws a left to the back of Veilleux's head, allowing Veilleux to throw another right. Kaleta comes back with two overhand rights at a bent over Veilleux. Kaleta then gets in an uppercut just as they lose their balance and fall to the ice with the linesmen right there to grab them and end the fight.

How can anybody say that Veilleux won this fight!!! this clearly was a draw. Let's not be stupid out there. Dramono13 is one of those gooney bast--ds from Ottawa. What a jerk!!!!!!

Another shield-wearing ***** trying to goad someone into a fight.
Got his sh** throttled.

I've seen better from Veilleux, and i'd like to see Kaleta fight someone better.

it was like Viellieux got in his couple hits...then wanted to end it...not quite a draw...but not a real victory...

I'm glad to see someone besides Boogaard throwing down once in a while. In my oppinion we need more fighters on our team.

Kaleta had control the whole time. he manages to get velleux's helmet off and a few face washes.

velleux never connected

They both got a couple good hits in, but for Veilleux's size I have to say that was pretty impressing. I agree with trogders on seeing someone else step it up for the wild insted of just Boogie. Wild rock all the way!!!!

No punches landed flush. Both threw a few, kalleta at the end, veilleux in the start, more of a wrestling match than a fight.

veilleux get in 3 decent shots at beginning--kaleta gets in 3 in the middle-but then veillous wants to stop the fight and only looks to take down kaleta..
ill give it a draw-but the fact that veilloux didnt want to keep fighitng has me leaning to kaleta.

I'll give the fight to Vellieux. Remember it wasn't too long ago that Vellieux was wearing a full cage after having his nose destroyed by a puck -- destroyed is probably an under-statement. I give him credit for stepping up to fight. You can't blame a guy for not wanting to take a few to the nose after the type of damage he had suffered. Kudos to Vellieux!!!
