thornton is more fighter than neil can handle. neil amazes me with his iron head though. guy can take huge shots and never flinch. the way he plays that's a good thing because he gets popped a lot.

Thortons' last two fights have been a coming of age of sorts. From now on, I may have to take this guy more seriously as a brawler. Neil proves that he is still one of the best "punch takers" in the league. Suprising win Thornton, cheap elbow by Neil when a shoulder would've done just as well..

fortunate for Neil to take the dive at the end, Thorton was landing bombs even with Neil's helmet still on.

I will say that at least Boston's announcers are excited about fights. Unlike some people who think fighting has no place in hockey. It's refreshing to hear someone passionate about a fight no matter how biased they are.

What is up with "the takedown." This isn't a wrestling match, it's a hockey fight. The only thing that should be termed a "take down" is when you punch a guy in the jaw and he drops like a sack of potatoes. Now that is taking some down. This phrase has become so overused..............whatever, win for Thornton
