Laperriere knocks Murray down with a hit along the boards. Murray gets up and challenges Laperriere who turns around and agrees. They drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other near the blueline. They tie each other up and struggle to get loose. Murray throws a short right and they continue to grapple. Laperriere gets his left free and throws four to the back of Murray's head. They each get off some lefts. Murray gets Laperriere bent over and gets in three rights while he wrestles Laperriere down to the ice. Once they hit the playing surface the linesmen are right there to break things up.

I am glad that "Douglas" has decided to toss his helmit/visor these days. Big props to him. I agree with some of the opinions on Ian but it did look like he got eye gouged. Someone stated that they wish the two could "get set before they engage each other". I don't know how much more set they could be. Murray talked the **** and Lappy went after him. What do you want a ref there to say "LET'S GET IT ON". Ian probably couldn't believe what he was hearing and was enthused by it. Ian is no Jamaal Mayers.

Doug Murray vs Ian Laperriere

Ian Laperriere puts a hit on Doug Murray along the boards. Murray doesn't like it too well, and has some words with Laperriere. Murray discards his helmet, and they each drop the gloves. They immediately get in close on each other. Murray throws a right, hitting Laperriere's helmet, then attempts to rip his helmet off, but has no luck. Laperriere gets his left hand free, and throws a few shots to the back of Murray's head. Then, Murray responds with some lefts, then switches to his right, throwing a few uppercuts. After that, they both wrestle each other to the ice, falling on their knees, and the linesmen intervene.

This was a rather boring fight. I gotta go with a draw. Punches were roughly even and ineffective.

OK fight in my paper.
Lappy landed more, but not much power behind his punches.
Lappy landed well with one, that hits flush to the market.
Murray did the same thing by his uppercut.
In the end Murray pushed Lappy down to the ice.
A draw.

Laperriere rams Murray in the boards,Murray sheds his visor to scrap clearly trying to rip Laperriere helment off but Laperriere doesnt let him.Okay scrap but Laperriere acted like a little wuss.

I like this Murray fellow. Tosses the visor, not afraid to throw em.

Laperriere is a goof ball. He's not very good at fighting and he isn't a very good player. He ought to go back to school or something.

Typical Lappy...charges Murray to get the jump on him before Doug can even get his gloves off. After all these years I expect NO less from Lappy because he is a cheap shot artist...always has been and always will be. How about dropping them and squaring off for once Lappy, but that would be out of character for you!! Then he hung on to Murray for dear life, but he still got tagged.
