Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Feb 6, 2007 Anaheim Ducks George Parros
2pd 06:43 San Jose Sharks Scott Parker
Parros knocks Ryan Getzlaf down with an open-ice hit, causing Parros to challenge Parker. The two drop the gloves behind the play and square off. Parker actually catches one of Parros' mitts and throws it into the crowd. After a good amount of shadow boxing they grab ahold of one another and each exchange a couple of rights. Parros goes to throw another right, but as he does he loses his balance and falls to the ice. Parker gets in a left while Parros tries to get back up to his feet, but the linesmen are right there to break things up.

George Parros vs Scott Parker

Parker puts a big open-ice hit on a Duck, and Parros goes after Parker, but tripped over the player that Parker hit. Parros goes over and challenged Parker shortly after, and they drop the gloves. Parker throws his gloves at Parros, so Parros throws his gloves at Parker, and Parker throws the glove up in the stands. They have a long square off, and eventually grab on. They each exchange a few weak rights, none hitting the target. Then, Parros loses his balance, and falls to the ice, and the linesmen start to move in. As they are coming in, Parker attempts a solid left, but it barely misses Parros. After that, they both get up, and exchange a few words, and they go off to the penalty box.

Too bad Parros can't stay on his blades. I was looking forward to the battle of bad facial hair.

a weak DRAW.
No good punches landed here.
Very short one when Parros lost his balance.

DRAW in a crap fight but the glove throwing incident made this a great entertaining rivalry brewing. I never noticed until now that Parker threw his glove at Stache first.

Parker throws his own glove over the boards like the moron he is, then hits Parros while he's down. Another classic Scott Parker bout.

Bjornson - who's the idiot, he caught Parros's glove and threw it over. Are you watching the same clips and fights the rest of us are.

Parros was in trouble in this fight and losing his balance is all that saved him. Anytime a fighter is throwing punches off his back foot and not from a balanced stance either leaves him open for a shot because you end up lunging at your opponent or causes him to lose his balance from even the slightest push. When Parros goes to throw his Haymaker, Parker leans in and rabbit punches him with the hand holding his jersey and the fight is over.
