Feb 13, 2007 San Jose Sharks Scott Parker
2pd 04:42 St. Louis Blues D.J. King
Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. Parker grabs ahold of King and throws a right that hits King's helmet. King comes back with two rights and Parker returns fire with a body shot that lands. King knocks Parker's helmet off and they exchange a series of jersey-jabs. Parker throws an overhand right followed by a straight right. King connects with a straight right and they go back and forth with rights until Parker switches hands and connects with a left. They grapple in-tight for a short while until Parker throws three rights to the back of King's helmet. They exchange short rights and Parker loses his balance for a short second, going down to a knee. That allows the linesmen to grab ahold of them just as they are falling to the ice and break things up.

Great fight by the kid, King, but if you watch the fight again (which I did because I Tivo all the games) you'll see that most of the action by King was that ripp and shove crap. He connect twice perfectly, however, if you watch Parkers action on the jersey much closer, he is just punishing Kings chin 1-3 times before he connects with overhands. King handed out some good punishment, but I give him a C for endurance, A for power, and a D for style. Parker switches hands, goes to the body, does some great jersey scrubs to the chin, and comes back for more. Parker gets an A for endurance, a B- for power, and an A for style. In the end, King ran out of juice, so he loses the fight- last one standing wins.

Really good heavyweight fight. Both men throwing big shots. I thought King connected better and gave him the win despite the fact that Parker had more fight left and might have won if allowed to continue. A very close fight and a good showing by both men. Thought King at least partially connected on about 4 big right hands.

Fun fight. Win D.J. King

As much as it pains me to say this being a Sharks fan, King got the best of the Sheriff....

Very good fight between the veteran and a rookie. Parker landed more, D.J. landed better. Solid draw.

I don't like Parker and this fight illustrates why. The guy is a style master and a showboat and his fights are boring.

I'll give it to King, who I felt landed more. Impressive stuff from the kid, showing great composure and technical skill against a very bad man. Real close fight, good stuff from Parker as well.

Could have been a good fight, started well King killed the fight at the end after landing 3 good rights he pulled parker in and held on so parker couldnt get away and unload, Parker would have won if king hadnt killed the fight
