Parros comes back from a terrible injury and fights Bordeleau and Reaves. Tough MFer
Magnum shows his strength by out muscling one of the strongest players in the league But the connecting shots seemed about even... so I'm going with a technically sound draw punctuated by the "ol' slipped on my skate guard...again" "Parossian-styled" traditional exit
I'm tired after just watching it. Parros out-muscled Reaves, punches were fairly even. Slight edge to Parros.
Edge Reaves
Punches connecting on both sides in a very spirited and entertaining scrap! Parros getting back to his previous form slowly but surely againts a tough opponent and top 10 heavy in this league! Parros balance issues showing at the end, always holding our breath watching him fall to the ice since the last accident. Draw!!!!
So Parros goes down and Reaves connected.....why wouldn't anyone call this a win for Reaves? That's the way they normally vote it. People usually always view how the fight ends as the victor....I think it's a bunch of crap....but it happens.
I am Blues and Reaves fan but you got to respect and like Parros. Reaves had just given one of the Canadien D men a rough ride so response not surprising.Reaves is a load so good tilt for Parros as well.Entertaining draw in my opinion.
As i've said before, anyone who drops the mitts and stands up like a man, i have respect for. Not a big fan of Reaves but he didn't do to bad with big George.
great go.... i gave it a draw i liked how it went back and forth both boys like to tango both boys gave a good effort...
2 great fighters.....
Parros has certainly improved over the years, but his Bambi legs always find a way to fail him and he loses yet another one....
Ryan with the W.
good scrap, best landing punch was Reaves' to Parros' face ... very slight edge to Reaves
Reaves definitely lands the better punches and takes the win. At least after his injury Parros is dropping the mits and doesn't duck guys like Thornton has done after Scott pounded him.
reaves better punches
Decent scrap by how anybody can say Parros won outright is dreaming. I call it a draw at best with a slight edge to Reaves. Gotta love both players !!
Pretty darn good tilt, both guys got some shots in I had it a draw or edge Parros watching the game live but on second look I go draw edge Reaves he threw and landed the harder shots and Parros edge in landed shots wasn't that much
I thought Reaves landed the more substantial punches. It certainly wasn't a cakewalk by Reaves...and Parros held his own..but I do give Reaves the nod in a close scrap. I place more emphasis on heavier punches that pitty pat stuff and Reaves landed some big bombs in this fight.
Reaves landed a few big ones, Parros some of the smaller ones. Close fight, Reaves the winner. Caught Parros with a big right after a few rabbit punches.
Two heavyweights going at it. Parros landed more, but, Reaves landed the bigger, cleaner, punches. Lucky for Parros that he was going backward and down when Reaves grazed him with that last punch. Edge Reaves.
Reaves landed more and better (actually count them people). Very close but Reaves with the edge. Could have gone longer if Parros had not tripped Hope these two go again!
Good scrap, i give it a draw, but slight edge to reaves since he seemed to get better punches in and the final takedown
Parros didn't want to throw at first. Lame
If you want to scrap with Reader's you better pack a lunch cuz win or loose he will make you work for it!
PARROS with the win
No domination by Parros but he landed more noogies than anything else. Given his experience in the league compared to Reaves, he should have done much better. Give Reaves some credit for throwing and landing some. Marginal win to Parros.
Le Grand Stache wins.
No real decisive punches landed-rather boring
Dang, Parros is one strong SOB. Making Reeves look like a middleweight is an impressive feat. Not much damage from either side, but Parros was comfortably pushing Reeves around for a half minute before his fall, which is so common I don't even take points off for it any more.
It is impossible not to like Parros who just does his job and is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team - even after coming back from a big time concussion. Someone else said it best, he is one tough M'Fer! That being said, too bad he plays for the Habs. Reeves is pretty damn tough as well. Good scrap, very slight edge 'Stache (less).
good fight!
Slight edge to George
Atta boy George! Glad to see you landing on your ass :D
Win Parros!
Not taking anything away from Reaves...But Parros is a warrior! Bad concussion and comes back and does his thing.
Reaves fights someone legitimate and loses.
Love having parros on the team
As the moustache slowly makes it's comeback, so does it's proud wearer. Parros with the win for landing more and imposing his will on a strong dude in Reaves. Too bad the puck didn't go in before the gloves got dropped. As a tough guy, it's probably the worst when you drop the gloves, only to cost your team a great scoring chance, or even worse, a tying goal. at least he won the fight.
Parros
edge Parros
Hugfest. Parros is damaged goods now. He's jammed. Habs need a new gorilla and soon because Parros and White are a couple of pantloads.
Good tilt with both landing but Reaves out pointed here by George! Reaves aint nothing special boys!
Real good tilt, edge to parros in my mind. Nice to see the George of old standing in there and throwing them.
The announcer went to the Jack Edwards school of homer fight calls. Good fight...Reaves does well against a lot bigger man but he still lost a close one. Big George wins.
Slight edge to Parros. bajo39, what does one thing has to do with another? You must be stupid.
couple guys show us a thing or two about knowin a thing or two.. draw!
Couple of the big boys go at it with Parros getting the edge.
Nice to see these two drop the gloves....
Close fight. Draw.
nothing special here. draw
I had Parros ahead but Reaves landed 1 or 2 towards the end to earn a DRAW... I think Parros is a better fit for the Habs than Georges Laraque was a few years ago.
solid heavyweight draw...reaves should fight more often.he's a beast
Maybe a slight edge to Parros, but both fighters had their moments. I'll give it reluctantly to Parros for getting the helmet off.
Parros landed more punches so he wins the fight. However, he sure is weak on his skates and doesn't ever knock anyone silly.
Good scrap. Even matchup. Slight win Parros and a 7.
Good close scrap, but Mr P takes it. Good to see old George back.
Georgie with the win.
very even bout, Reaves waits for Parros to tire out. I haven't seen Reaves manhandled like that before.
Good fight! Parros wins by a close decision
Now that was an exciting bout for these Heavyweights, both non-stop aggressive tempts by both contenders through the whole fight.Parros comes back from an accidental injury and fights two heavy contenders'Bordeleau and Reaves...Calling this one a draw!
Just a good draw.
I'm surprised so many thought that Parros took this one. I watched the game live and didn't see it that way live nor on the replay here. Was it because he managed to stay on his feet and didn't faceplant himself?
Great fight. Have to give it a draw. Good job by both guys
Going with Behn Wilson...Draw Parros landed more, Reaves lands the harder shots. Props to George for coming back and taking on to strong, tough guys. Glad he's back. Too bad about that skate guard...
Going draw in this decent tilt
Parros would be be top 3 fighters in the league if they let them take their skates off to fight. I'd call this one a draw.
Nice shots by both. Reeves salvages a draw at the end. Reeves seemed fresher of the two at the end. draw and rated 8
I'm giving this fight to Reaves. It was a dandy and George was fighting well, but I feel Reaves landed the more effective blows by far.
Parrots landed mostly rabbit punches, reaves landed more blows and heavier blows. Since Ferguson and Nilan retired, Canadiens wouldn't recognize a good fight if it hit them in the face !!!!
Wow great to see Georgie back to back good scraps (you know what I mean the booourrdurrleuu one was subpar) Anyway he looks reinvigorated and had a spring in his step and BETTER BALANCE AND HAS LEARNED TO PUCNH! Yeah make George's Laraque eat his words parros "parros won't intimidate anyone" After the injury he had and he's opening up like this and the 3 men he's fought this year and he's looking good and enjoying it again. Keep it up George miss you in the west Can't wait for you a frazer Mclaren to go at it like the SJ and ducks days Wi. Parros
Glad Parros is OK and back. Giving Parros the win because the series of "nuggies" Parros employed reminded me of my childhood
Still trying to see where parros WON???? The logo de toilet seat brigade out in full force voting for the jersey; despite the video evidence.
Huge George fan.....good to see him back in action he landed a few more here but Reeves with the better shots....since this is hockey and not boxing I went with a draw....good tilt
Parros got in more hits, both were tied in terms of magnitude of hard hits, Parros just hit many more light ones.
Parros defies his reputation early by standing - yes, I said standing - in there and throwing quality shots only to have his instincts as a Compuboxer and his career-threatening balance conspire to end the fight his opponent's favor. The fact that he lost the fight and cost his team a goal only confirms that the Habs simply have no business in the tough business.
