Good clean hit. As good as it gets. This is the one situation where the instigator works. Bickell shouldn't have to defend himself for a clean hit and the Hawks get a bonus because of Staubitz being an idiot. On the other hand, if it was a dirty hit and Staubitz comes in, there should be no instigator. If the game could be called that way, it would improve the game. Very hard to do though.

Great hit
with an understandable
but unnecessary reaction

On the positive side
Staubitz was showing signs
of returning to his previous quality levels
at least until...
the guy who finally gave up trying to tell everyone
"it's pronounced Bick-KELL"...
...tackled him to the ground

That was a clean hit, a heavy one no doubt, that didn't warrant the response from Staubitz. The fight was blah.

Interesting that Budreau plays a fighter -- as he effectively refused to do that in Washington. Great hit by Bickell, but Staubitz wins the fight (but took the instigator)

I don't mind fights starting over a hard hit but this is as nice and legal as a bodycheck can get...
Bickell should have gotten only 2 min.
Staubitz 5 min for job security.

Staubitz gets the jump on Bickell and throws the only punches... I like the banter between the announcers... It was a clean hit, but Staubitz defends the captain..

Nice check by Bickell, but he was terrible in the fight. He threw no punches, just went for a takedown. Credit Staubitz for at least throwing punches.

Bickell gets the take down but didnt throw a single punch. Was a pretty blah fight at best.

I want to be a homer here and say Bickell won, but considering he doesn't throw a punch that W has to go to Staubitz. Bickell puts a big hit on, hes gotta realize someones coming after him...stop hugging and let the fists fly big guy.

what fight? Staubitch used Bickell as a speed bag. Clean hit didnt deserve the attack.

I gave this a draw for the simple fact that there was NO REASON for this fight. I'm getting tired of guys seeing a good hard clean hit and thinking they have go fight the guy who threw the hit

why doesnt bickell throw those kind of hits more often?
