Not sure what was funnier: -the 2 cougars vamping in the front row -Bickell looking like a beaten mangy dog in the box The rogaine isn't working.

Posted by Hilaker on January 16, 2015 at 09:57 PM

Bickell was calling for his Mommy at the end. He got his clock cleaned. No contest. Peluso pounded Bickell at will. Bickell knew he was in trouble and was lucky Peluso did not land one of those bombs on the button. Not sure Bickell even tried to throw one just hung on and prayed.

Posted by Roadster1963 on January 17, 2015 at 03:51 AM

Peluso made a statement. Don't mess with the Jets. You'll get a beatdown if you do. The whole game turned in the Jets favour after this fight. Mission accomplished.

Note to self don't pss off Peluso.

Posted by Great Murray on January 17, 2015 at 09:19 AM

Bickel with a solid hit...not spectacular. Peluso uses it as an excuse to administer a beat down and is entirely successful. All Peluso

Posted by adambomb13 on January 17, 2015 at 11:31 AM

Bickell gets jumped for a normal hit. What the Hell happened to hockey? At least give the guy a chance to drop em. Peluso, pull that move against Scott or someone who can throw em. Absolutely weak AP. Dooooshnozzle!

Posted by Humper on January 16, 2015 at 09:44 PM

With that display Bickell officially becomes Peluso's beeotch. I don't know what Bryan was saying afterwards, but it should have been "Thanks for not killing me".

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 17, 2015 at 02:55 PM

Peluso beats the male pattern baldness out of Bickel just because he can Which begs the question is Peluso actually improving... or just getting better at picking his spots?

Posted by jferguson on January 17, 2015 at 09:37 AM

I'm surprised that Bickell was surprised by this assault by Peluso. He absorbed 5 punches before he even got his right glove off. Good thing he finally did though, so he could get a good grip on that punching machine that was brutalizing him. And probably best to shut up and sit in the penalty box and plot revenge than to look like you're crying.

Posted by woolly mammoth on January 17, 2015 at 04:04 AM

Bickell was in a pickle as he sought to vent about his misplaced toupee, which led to Peluso beating him to a pulp as Bickell whined for the refs to find his wig.

Posted by GoonVisor on January 17, 2015 at 01:43 AM

No need to get 'em off here. Pelussy and a 4

Posted by EK65 on January 17, 2015 at 03:35 AM

Peluso tees off on Getzlaf here, wait correction thats Howie Mandell ....That's Bryan Bickell? That hair style doesn't look like the hockey card...

Posted by callum on January 17, 2015 at 02:28 PM

Bickell is big, brave and tough. Peluso is upper echelon if not elite. Nothing wrong with the hit except it may have been one too many for an enforcer to ignore. Peluso doing his job, admirally, as was Bickel. Truly unfortunate someone didn't get to Carcillo

Posted by Marduk18th on January 17, 2015 at 04:57 PM

What was Bickell thinking?

Posted by hockeyboy10106 on January 17, 2015 at 12:39 AM

Peluso just put a beat down on Bickell but we all know all the hawk fans will have excuses for why bickell got beat up

Posted by BennyD on January 20, 2015 at 12:25 PM

Clean hit followed by an instigator. That's when the rule SHOULD apply, after a CLEAN hit. Peluso had the upper hand as Bickell wasn't expecting it. AP with the win for at least changing the momentum of the game.

Posted by hkhk on January 16, 2015 at 09:55 PM

peluso took care of business here

Posted by rocky 1 on January 17, 2015 at 11:53 PM

Once again the hit on Slater was pretty clean but Peluso said enough was enough after the Slater Seabrook fight. Bickell wanted nothing to do with the three headed dragon Peluso and still got thumped anyway!

Posted by honest truth on January 17, 2015 at 09:50 AM

Not sure why the NHL lets some enforcers do their jobs and others not.Scott,Grats,Gaz. Let them all work and bring some excitement back.Beatdown win.

Posted by karlmaciag on January 16, 2015 at 10:37 PM

Peluso destroyed him, but a dumb fight in the first place. No need to drop the gloves after a clean hit.

Posted by 4on4 on January 17, 2015 at 12:03 PM

It's tough to see one of my beloved 'Hawks take a beating like that.

Posted by the kid 61 on January 17, 2015 at 09:41 AM

What a beat down. Bickell showed he can't fight, score, or comb his six hairs. The guy is a waste, belongs in the ECHL.

Posted by jerry s on January 17, 2015 at 06:44 AM

peluso smoked bickell end of story

Posted by gsrae on January 16, 2015 at 11:15 PM

Peluso with the beat down over Bickell. Peluso jumped him from the start and it was all over.

Posted by DARCY T on January 22, 2015 at 02:45 PM

i dont think that soft bump was good reason for an enforcer like peluso to beat bickell.peluso acted more like goon than an enforcer

Posted by canamrugby on January 17, 2015 at 12:18 AM

Notice Winnipeg took over in this game once Peluso kicked some ass? Well timed tuning by the Jets tough guy and Bickell will likely rethink playing physical hockey against Winnipeg.

Posted by von_swine on January 16, 2015 at 10:34 PM

no chance for Bickel when a guy who's as good as Peluso is gets that kind of jump... you can be embarrassed Bryan, you got TRASHED...lol the extra 10 totally earned in this taking of the lunch money by Anthony. #14 FTW

Posted by Jellyczar on January 17, 2015 at 09:04 AM

Bald Bickell gets beaten

Posted by Spydervoodoo on January 17, 2015 at 10:44 AM

Total Beatdown.

Posted by Sirjohnkordic31 on January 17, 2015 at 04:37 AM

Bickel does his best to look nonchalant for the cameras in the penalty box. "Wow, that was a neat ride. Where are we again?"

Posted by larmex99 on January 17, 2015 at 11:43 AM

So, someone thinks Bickell won this one? I guess he did work AP's knucles over pretty good with his face. Sure, Bickell with the easy win.

Posted by bodellg on January 20, 2015 at 04:54 PM

As someone who watched Bickell run wild against the Red Wings in their play off series, and no one stepped up to him, I have to say I probably enjoyed that a little more than I should have.

Posted by Amerkfan8 on January 18, 2015 at 07:52 PM

Bickell took a beating.

Posted by mr hockey on January 17, 2015 at 04:35 PM

Posted by ironbar44 on January 16, 2015 at 10:05 PM

BICKELL pretty soft. beat down

Posted by hawkwing24 on January 18, 2015 at 12:44 AM

Bickell----embare ass ing.-wtf? do your job! pathetic!

Posted by sulley71 on January 17, 2015 at 11:45 AM

If your going to jump someone for a very clean and not even nasty hit you should get a game misconduct! It's one thing to police but that just makes Peluso look bad! Sure he won but giving a guy no chance that doesn't fight often is a real Pu$$ move!!

Posted by Sasky001 on January 21, 2015 at 07:45 PM

Bush league move by Peluso. Soon he will be on the corner of Portage and Main selling drugs.

Posted by legend22 on January 17, 2015 at 09:52 AM

A fight over a light hit of a teamate.....welcome to the new NHL

Posted by LordKOTL on January 19, 2015 at 11:40 AM

Bickell got utterly schooled here. He needs to take notes from Seabrook on how to fight.

Posted by Theycallmehd on January 16, 2015 at 10:02 PM

@bbruins358 So what if he was? Guy just got knocked around by one if the best fighters in the league and took some big shots. You'd be sobbing. I'm going to guess about 90% of the world's population would be too after a beating by Peluso.

Posted by travist on January 22, 2015 at 04:46 PM

not really sure why peluso jumped him, but he sure had that jackhammer going against bickell's head.

Posted by kkdowning on January 17, 2015 at 10:34 AM

Peluso punched the helmet and hairline off Bickell in this one sided affair. I caught the tail end of the W-Peg broadcast and they talked quite a bit about this -- including linking the Carcillo cheap-shot on Perrault to this

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 24, 2015 at 01:18 AM

This fight totally changed the complexion of the game. Good for Peluso, he absolutely dominated Bickell and in turn gave his team the momentum change they needed.

Posted by tpr1960 on January 17, 2015 at 11:44 AM

Another idiot{Peluso} putting his team down a man while losing after a clean hit. And jump him to boot. How many goals does Peluso have this year ? thats what I thought. AHL here he comes.

Posted by toy boy dan on January 17, 2015 at 11:33 AM

Not even close Peluso all the way!

Posted by Allmannator on January 17, 2015 at 07:20 AM

Clearly a fight Bickell wanted no part of and Peluso took full advantage. Bickell laid a clean solid hit and then got jumped, seemingly unwilling and less than ready, he then got owned.

Posted by tmayorchak on March 01, 2015 at 07:18 AM

Pelsy is a Silent Assassin. I honestly can't remember a time ive ever seen him screaming or excessively chirping. He just goes in there, throws his fists like wrecking balls on a boxer, usually wins and leaves. Wish we had him on the Rangers.

Posted by powerforward92 on January 17, 2015 at 07:47 AM

Bickell is a joke, he cant fight.. Peluso is in my opinion best middle-weight in a league, this couldnt end different...

Posted by dcmac on January 17, 2015 at 12:49 AM

All Peluso upstairs and down.

Posted by bbruins358 on January 16, 2015 at 09:41 PM

Was bickell crying lol

Posted by Mosie Ledbetter on January 16, 2015 at 11:15 PM

Did Bickell land a single punch in that buttkicking? Total domination by Peluso. Bickell had been throwing his weight around prior to the beatdown, didn't so much after-- great move by Peluso.

Posted by prairie captain on January 18, 2015 at 12:02 PM

Yes AP jumped him but watch the fight, he gives Bickell a few seconds to get set before he throws bombs. Peluso is one tough kid and is working he way up the ranks as a real heavyweight.

Posted by CanadianDewd on January 17, 2015 at 02:15 AM

complete ownage

Posted by doobi1 on January 17, 2015 at 07:46 AM

Wow! Peluso did everything but give Bickel the Popeye wind up. Now That, is standing up for a teammate. win to Peluso.

Posted by paulohotline on January 17, 2015 at 01:21 PM

Peluso made ground beef of Bickell's face. That's what you get when you mess with the Jets, a good beating :)

Posted by dasme on January 18, 2015 at 12:01 PM

Peluso was peppering him with rights, Bickell didn't have a chance to even get started. Don't like the fighting after a nothing hit, but Bickell was having his way with the Jets up to that point in the game. yep, he stopped afterwards as to not feel the wrath of Peluso again

Posted by kitcarnut on January 17, 2015 at 06:29 PM

Too much too soon. for bickell

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on January 16, 2015 at 10:40 PM

Meet Tony, Bryan. Hope you enjoyed his dish of knuckle sandwiches.

Posted by prowler on January 18, 2015 at 11:21 AM

peluso beats bickell to a pickle heheheh...I got a kick out of that girl in the Blackhawks jersey in the left side laughing when bickell the pickle was talking to peluso like bickell won hehehehheheheh she looks stupid just like all those fans in Chicago lolol and another thing to the guy on here that posted that peluso is a middleweight ,your a idiot peluso destroyed all so far and he is 6 foot 4 and 230 pounds.....

Posted by bluesandbruins on January 17, 2015 at 06:25 PM

The people getting mad about Peluso "jumping" Bickell are wimps. Bickell likes to play a heavy game sometimes and when that happens he better expect to answer for it. This is hockey... This is how teams police players who play like this. The comments saying Peluso should take on someone like John Scott are ridiculous. Peluso has fought Brian McGrattan more than once which I believe is much better of a fighter than Scott. Plus who wants to fight Scott? He is completely irrelevant in this league. Scott's ankles shake like Doug Glatt in the movie goon when he first came out on the ice in figure skates. Regardless of his resume, like I said earlier, this is hockey and this is how teams keep players from playing a heavy game against their top players.

Posted by CSpackler on January 18, 2015 at 12:02 AM

Peluso is a goon who doesn't win much, but his odds will increase if he picks on a Blackhawk because the Blackhawks can't handle physical play and almost never fight. I think Quenneville discourages it and Bowman has filled the roster with softies who stay away from the rough stuff and the front of the net as much as they can. Too many softies spoil the broth.

Posted by norville2 on January 17, 2015 at 04:08 PM

I'm a big Hawks fan! 1) bickell got smoked. For a big man he's not tough at all. Never was2) Winnipeg is a huge team.3) with all the stars the Hawks have why in the world don't they employ a heavyweight? 4) mashinter is not a pushover. He has taken on some true heavyweights and feared well! 5) I agree with bickell getting clubbed like a baby seal with that said it may be a good thing! Maybe they will call mashinter up! Enough is enough! Winnipeg ,st.louis LA and the rest of teams push Hawks around! Time to pick up the phone and see if Luke Gazdik is available! I'll be waiting for a move soon!

Posted by sedinfan on January 16, 2015 at 11:15 PM

Once upon a time there was a man who decided to run someone with Peluso on the ice. The man was not to smart and almost dies. The end.

Posted by McGuffin on January 16, 2015 at 09:59 PM

That wasn't even a big hit by Bickell. His check fell down because his skate seemed to get caught. And then Peluso comes in and instigates for that? That's probably why Bickell was upset afterward. When a guy comes in blasting a guy before the other guy even has his gloves off it should be a game misconduct. Yes, Peluso destroyed Bickell. But at least wait until after a huge hit and let your opponent get his gloves off next time.

Posted by King of Goons on January 18, 2015 at 12:54 AM

Peluso gives Bickell one of the worst beat downs I've seen since John Scott put Shawn Thornton in the hospital. Bickell got hit with so many rights he was probably begging Peluso for a left. I've always had the impression that Bickell, somehow, thinks he's a tough guy. Well, he just got his face rearranged by a real tough guy. In reality, Bickell really didn't do anything to deserve that beating (except for the fact that he's Bryan Bickell), but he definitely looked like he was about to cry after the fight. One of the funniest fights of the year, in my opinion. Bickell might wake up in the middle of the night trying to fend off punches.

Posted by bigmike53 on January 17, 2015 at 03:33 PM

Peluso delivers here! Decisive win for Peluso.

Posted by The Mad House on January 16, 2015 at 10:58 PM

Visor couldn't save ya there Bicks Love watching a 'Hawk getting his clock cleaned All the more reason Mashinter should be brought up Peluso does his job perfectly here
