Thornton by the thinnest of margins,
as Neil steps up, and, admirably, hangs in.

Two professionals, fearlessly, not backing down.

DZA makes a great point
about Neil being, potentially, buoyed
by his recent ''Boulton-annihilation''.

close but going with Thornton. luckily the Bruins announcers were not as horrible as they normally are

Good fight boys...
Thornton got the better rights in although Neil hung in there pretty good as well. Credit to Neil for trying to mix in a few lefts of his own.
Win Thornton and a 7.

Really good tilt between 2 really tough dudes. I think Thornton landed a couple more, so I'm giving him the edge.

And I'm a Bruins fan, and I agree with GreatMurray. Watch these things with the sound off so crowd noise is gone and Jack is silenced, and you'll see how close this one and Z-McQ's fight was as well.

I try to review every fight, not just the scraps the B's are involved in. And it should be noted- the vast majority of announcers are homers, unless it's a national game. Not defending Edwards; just making an observation.

Decent fight, but I saw it a bit closer than maybe some others. Thorton with the slight edge, and a similar result as with his other fights with Neil.

Thornton with the win in an active fight but I think lacked in any Bombs being landed.....At least Neil stayed in and fought

I guess Neil thought that after an impressive bout against Boulton, he'd roll the dice and take on another heavy out of his weight class.

Snake eyes Neil.

This was actually a tough fight to score. Although Thornton threw and landed more, most, if not all, his punches were to Neil's helmet. Thornton's right hand clearly shows you that. You don't cut your knuckles up by punches to the face. Neil had the icepack on his left from several punches to the helmetless head of Thornton. Based on damage done, much closer fight than the voting.
