My ''highly paid Penguin insiders''

(Ok, it's only one guy, and he's not paid...but he's very cool),

mentioned that Godard might not fight right away.

as he slowly eases his way back into the fray,

while recovering from a difficult injury,

that has ended the career of many a tough guy.

Props to Boll for not thinking twice

before engaging a banged up version of...

IMO...'The Champ''.

Boll outmatched in size as Godard took out his team's frustration in the dying minutes of the game. Godard must have put a dent in the glass with that wild right that he threw at the end. Lucky for Boll it missed.

I really like the way Godard throws....very linear punches.
The fastest way from point-A to point-B is a straight line.
Two good blokes in me book.
Win Godard.

Hope the glass ain't broke....

Not the most exciting scrap in the world. Boll threw one punch.

Godard has a big right and Boll took a few of them proving Boll has a pretty good chin. Godard had the rare 1-2 combo. 1. punch Boll in the face 2. Boll's head goes into the glass. As staceyb points out Godard misses and punches the glass. Boll is pretty good for a slightly undersized guy, but Godard-while he may have slipped a little bit- is still likely one of the top 10 if not the top 5 guys.

Good to see Godard back and a good win here. God's will be feeling a lot better after that. Good tilt.

It is good to see Godard back in action. Don't love Boll (also don't hate him either), so it was fun to see him punched. Takes brass ones to get punched in the face so soon after surgery. Trying to avoid the Fedoruk phenomena for those who are challenged to play a regular shift... after the willingness to throw goes, the player follows soon after..

Boll just doesnt have the reach,he has the heart.Goddard smoked the glass pretty good though. But he won but not how i thought he should.Columbus has small heavies.

Man is Godard ever turning into a punk bitch!! He must be really fearful that Engelland is stealing his job. He punches people when their down, cheap shots them and still got his ass kicked by Carkner. LOL the tool is a has been!!!

Godard should be on the Baby Pens, what a waste. Godard season has consisted of dumb penalties and meaningless fights." Sending a message to Columbus " is as sad as it gets.

Godard with the edge. He's lucky not to have broken his fist after landing that punch to the boards.

Goddard with the decision...threw more and landed more.
I really miss the days of PJ Stock/Steve Peat, Miller/Kordic, Gillies/O'Rielly...guys don't tee off like that anymore....there is more tact and trying not to get hit. You gotta take one sometimes in order to land one.
